Watford's bright start to the season has began to falter in their last three matches. The Hornets were keeping pace with the top four until recently, but have lost their last three matches on the bounce. This includes their 3-2 defeat to Everton last time out when they allowed the Toffees to stage a comeback after taking a two-goal lead at Goodison Park. Marco Silva will be looking for a response from his side today.
David Moyes takes charge of his first game as West Ham manager this afternoon. He returns to management following an unsuccessful period as Sunderland boss last term, which resulted in the Black Cats' relegation to the Championship. The Scot is tasked with improving the fortunes of the Hammers after Slaven Bilic was sacked following their crushing defeat to Liverpool last time out.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Watford and West Ham at Vicarage Road.
West Ham subs: Adrian, Sakho, Masuaku, Fernandes, Quina, Rice, Martinez.
Watford have made two changes to their side that was beaten last time out by Everton. Adrian Mariappa and Marvin Zeegelaar come into the fold to replace Andre Carrillo and Jose Holebas in the starting line-up. Roberto Pereyra returns to the bench to give Silva options in the final third.
Moyes makes three changes from Bilic's last line-up in his first West Ham team. Javier Hernandez, Andre Ayew and Edmilson Fernandes drop out of the side, with Andy Caroll, Marko Arnautovic and Pablo Zabaleta returning to action.
STAT ATTACK! This will be David Moyes’ 500th match as a Premier League manager (G499 W196 D135 L168). Only Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Harry Redknapp have passed the milestone before him.
STAT ATTACK! Watford have lost only one of their last six Premier League games against West Ham, winning three and drawing two.

HALF-TIME: WATFORD 1-0 WEST HAM
Watford hold a 1-0 lead at the break over West Ham through Will Hughes' strike. However, the Hammers could have been at the least level or even ahead if not for Heurelho Gomes. The Brazilian made a fine save to deny to Cheikhou Kouyate one-on-one before making a miraculous double stop to keep Marko Arnautovic at bay just before the interval. Both managers will be frustrated as Marco Silva's men allowed the Hammers back into the contest, while David Moyes will rue his team's lack of clinical edge.
FULL-TIME: WATFORD 2-0 WEST HAM
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
Watford end a run of three defeats on the bounce by claiming a vital win to move back into the top eight in the Premier League. Goals from Will Hughes and Richarlison decided the contest, although the Hornets needed to rely on saves from Heurelho Gomes to deny Marko Arnautovic and Cheikou Kouayate in the first half. Marco Silva will continue to attract attention if his side continue to see out wins of this nature, while the in the adjacent dugout, David Moyes has seen the size of the task he faces to save the Hammers from the drop.
