Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League fixture between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham are in facing a lot of internal problems at moment and suffering on the pitch too. In the month of March alone they have been knocked out of the Champions League and FA Cup, while also losing to Wolves in the league. Many reports have come out stating that the north London club are looking to replace Antonio Conte, who has had a difficult week in the media after comments made by Richarlison. Spurs have won their last three home games in the league, including a 1-0 win over Manchester City.
Nottingham Forest are still very much in a relegation battle after failing to win their last four league games. Brennan Johnson’s brace last weekend secured an important draw against fellow strugglers Everton, but a win in that fixture could have given them a healthy gap away from the bottom three. Steve Cooper, who was questioned about potentially taking the Spurs job by the press, said he is fully focused on the job at hand at Forest.
Tottenham (3-4-3): Fraser Forster; Cristian Romero, Clement Lenglet, Eric Dier; Pedro Porro, Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Ben Davies; Richarlison, Harry Kane, Heung-min Son.
SUBS: Ivan Perisic, Arnaut Danjuma, Dejan Kulusevski, Pape Sarr, Romaine Mundle, Brandon Austin, Lucas Moura, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga.
SUBS: Jack Colback, Ryan Yates, Danilo, Emmanuel Dennis, Andre Ayew, Chris Wood, Neco Williams, Moussa Niakhate, George Shelvey.
The players are making their way out of the tunnel and onto the pitch!
Spurs seem to be fairly comfortable in this game, stopping any threat from Forest with ease. They will still want one more goal to give them an unassailable lead, but Conte won't be too worried about a comeback for now.
That's all for today, goodbye!
The win takes Tottenham to just a point behind Manchester United in third whereas Forest are now just three points above the drop zone. Spurs travel to Southampton for their next game while Forest host Newcastle.
