We're underway at the King Power Stadium.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup fifth-round clash between Leicester City and Birmingham City at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester have had an outstanding season, but have hit some troubled waters of late. Brendan Rodgers' men remain in third place in the Premier League, although they've not recorded a victory in their last five matches in all competitions. Their last win came against Brentford at the end of January in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Foxes need to be on their mettle tonight against the Midlands outfit.
Birmingham are sitting in the middle of the Championship, safe from the threat of relegation, but are not in position to make a late surge for the playoffs. Pep Clotet's side are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions, including their triumph on penalties against Coventry in the fourth round. The Blues beat Blackburn Rovers in the third round so they have been on form in the FA Cup. It will take a strong performance from them to advance this evening.
LEICESTER CITY (4-1-4-1): Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Ben Chilwell; Wilfred Ndidi; Demarai Gray, Dennis Praet, James Maddison, Marc Albrighton; Kelechi Iheanacho.
LEICESTER CITY SUBS: James Justin, Wes Morgan, Youri Tielemans, Danny Ward, Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez, Hamza Choudhury.
BIRMINGHAM CITY SUBS: Marc Roberts, Daniel Crowley, Jefferson Montero, Gary Gardner, Connal Trueman, Caolan Boyd-Munce, Ryan Burke.
The Foxes have looked below-par for a while now and are missing the threat of Jamie Vardy in the final third. There's hardly been a threat from them outside of Maddison and Brendan Rodgers may have to turn to his bench for inspiration.
BIRMINGHAM CITY (4-4-2): Lee Camp; Maxime Colin, Jake Clarke-Salter, Harlee Dean, Kristian Pedersen; Wes Harding, Maikel Kieftenbeld, Ivan Sunjic, Kerim Mrabti; Lukas Jutkiewicz, Scott Hogan.
Leicester are next in action against Aston Villa on home soil in the Premier League next Monday, while Birmingham are at home to Reading in the Championship on Saturday.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
