Álvaro Morata has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by T. Partey.
GOAL!! Morata gets one back for Atletico! Thomas works some space on the edge of the box and drills it through for Morata, who takes a touch and smashes the ball past the advancing Hradecky! It's 2-1!
Thomas, desperate to make up for his earlier error, breaks the lines with good close control and a clever ball through.
90'
Leverkusen have set up a low block now, trying to keep Atletico at arm's length and get out on the ball when they can.
88'
A. Dragović enters the game and replaces K. Havertz.
Havertz comes off for a defender in Dragovic in Bosz's final change to shore up the defence.
86'
Leverkusen are having to soak up pressure now as they look to see out the victory in the closing stages. Atletico sense an opportunity.
84'
N. Amiri goes off after a red card!
Amiri slides in recklessly on Arias, he's out of control and gets none of the ball. It's a straight red card for the Leverkusen winger, and his side are now down to 10 men!
81'
P. Retsos enters the game and replaces Wendell.
Wendell is now replaced by Retsos as Bosz throws on a more defensive player at full-back to see out the win.
79'
J. Oblak gets yellow.
K. Bellarabi gets yellow.
Álvaro Morata gets yellow.
J. Tah gets yellow.
Oblak is also, somewhat harshly, carded, although it looked as though he was trying to get between Morata and the Leverkusen players.
A melee ensues in the penalty spot before the corner is taken, with Morata in particular engaging in a heated exchange with several Leverkusen players. It takes a few minutes to settle down and the referee has his card out, with the Atletico striker one of four men booked for their part in proceedings.
Bellarabi also goes into the book as the final player of the four.
Tah is the first of two Leverkusen men to be booked for their involvement in the melee.
73'
Great interception from Tah as he flicks an outstanding cross away from the head of Morata lurking behind him. That's an important intervention.
70'
H. Herrera enters the game and replaces Á. Correa.
Correa is now replaced by Herrera - an odd change as a forward departs for a midfielder. Koke returns to the flank and Vitolo partners Morata in attack.

Description
65'
J. Baumgartlinger enters the game and replaces C. Aránguiz.
Aranguiz comes off for Baumgartlinger in the Leverkusen midfield as Bosz looks for fresh legs to see the game out.
61'
Vitolo enters the game and replaces Diego Costa.
Costa, who has barely touched the ball all night, comes off for Vitolo as Simeone wastes no time in making a second change.
55'
K. Volland has scored a goal for Bayer Leverkusen! Assist by K. Bellarabi.
GOAL!! VOLLAND MAKES IT 2-0!! Bellarabi fizzes a fine cross in that evades Hermoso and Volland takes one touch to set himself before firing in a low effort past Oblak and into the bottom-right corner!
Bellarabi had plenty of time and space on the right flank to generate a fierce, low cross that did well to find Volland past a number of Atletico defenders.
53'
The reshuffle has seen Saul move to left-back, with Lemar going out to the left wing and Koke slotting in alongside Thomas in the centre of midfield.
52'
T. Lemar enters the game and replaces Renan Lodi.
Simeone makes an unusually attacking change, replacing left-back Lodi with a winger in Lemar.
51'
Saul cannons a long-range shot off the head of Aranguiz and the midfielder is down, requiring some treatment.
50'
M. Weiser gets yellow.
Weiser goes in late on Hermoso and picks up a deserved yellow card. He completely mistimed that.
46'
We're back under way for the second half!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: BAYER LEVERKUSEN 1-0 ATLETICO MADRID
45'
There will be just one minute of added time as Leverkusen look to take their lead into the break.
41'
T. Partey is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
OWN GOAL!! WHAT A HOWLER! Leverkusen lead 1-0 but they have Thomas to thank for a bizarre own goal. The inital delivery is dealt with scruffily at the near post by a combination of Oblak and Costa but the ball ends up back in the box. Thomas, under no real pressure, mistimes his jump completely and skews a header into the corner of his own net! Oblak had no chance with that!
40'
Havertz spreads the ball wide to Bellarabi on the right after a driving run through midfield but the winger wastes the opportunity with a poor touch and allows his cross to be closed down.
34'
Atletico are just starting to press a little higher up the field than they were previously, with their change in shape allowing them to cover a wider area of the field. Leverkusen are still trying to play out from the back, but they are running into more trouble now.
32'
Aranguiz strikes firmly from distance and is rewarded with a deflection off Saul that earns a corner, but Leverkusen can't make the most of the set-piece.
30'
Hermoso does well to arch round Bellarabi as he slides to challenge him inside the box, winning the ball cleanly. Excellent tackle.
28'
Simeone appears to have reverted to a flat 4-4-2 in recognition of the issues Atletico were experiencing on the flanks, with Koke on the left and Correa on the right of the midfield four.
26'
Correa just fails to slip the ball through for the run of Costa, but Arias gets it back in the box for Morata to head, but the striker was fouling his marker and a free-kick is awarded.
24'
Atletico's narrow midfield diamond is leaving them very exposed on the flanks, allowing Leverkusen to get forward and use their flying full-backs to double-up on the La Liga side's wide defenders.
22'
Morata breaks the lines as he gets to the byline and dinks back across goal. It's half-cleared to Saul on the edge of the box, but the midfielder shanks his shot well wide of goal.
20'
BLOCK! Demirbay gets forward from midfield and sweeps a firm effort at goal from the edge of the area, but it's blocked away. Still no inroads into the penalty area.
19'
OVER! Arias has a pop from outside the box, but he becomes the latest full-back in this match to send the ball sailing over the bar and into the stands.
18'
From that period of Ateltico possession, Leverkusen launch a counter-attack of their own as the roles are reversed, but a poor pass at the end of the move sees the danger snuffed out.
16'
Atletico are growing as an attacking force but can't quite pick themselves an opening as they take possession of the ball for a spell.
14'
Another long-range effort misses the mark, and this time it's Bellarabi who has a go from distance. Leverkusen can't work their way into the penalty area.
13'
Atletico are just soaking up pressure at the moment, sitting off the ball and resisting waves of attacks as they wait patiently for a counter-attacking opportunity.
11'
Leverkusen find a way into space down the right but Wendell decides to shoot from miles out and blasts it straight into the stands. Awful decision from the left-back.
9'
WIDE! Volland takes aim from considerable distance as Leverkusen find a way through on the left, but his effort is always curling wide of the target.
8'
Atletico are allowing Leverkusen the ball in their own half, but are closing passing lanes and pressing sharply as soon as the halfway line is crossed.
6'
Atletico look to have started with a midfield diamond, as opposed to their more conventional 4-4-2, with Thomas sitting in front of the back four and Correa playing just off the two strikers.
4'
OVER! Volland flicks a corner at goal but it ends up well over the bar. He pleads for another set-piece but the referee waves his claims away.
2'
Weiser lines one up from outside the box but drags it well off-target as he registers the first shot of the game.

We're off in Leverkusen!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Champions League group stage clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid at the BayArena.
Leverkusen will not be relishing the task of facing Atletico tonight after a poor run of form that has yielded just one win from their last seven games across all competitions. The La Liga side have not lost any of their last 11 competitive matches and will be looking to extend that run tonight.
Bayer Leverkusen XI (4-2-3-1): Lukas Hradecky; Mitchell Weiser, Jonathan Tah, Sven Bender, Wendell; Kerem Demirbay, Charles Aranguiz; Karim Bellarabi, Kai Havertz, Nadiem Amiri; Kevin Volland
Bayer Leverkusen substitutes: Julian Baumgartlinger, Paulinho, Moussa Diaby, Ramazan ozcan, Aleksandar Dragovic, Lucas Alario, Panagiotis Retsos
Atletico Madrid substitutes: Thomas Lemar, Ivan Saponjic, Hector Herrera, Antonio Adan, Vitolo, Marcos Llorente, Kieran Trippier
Atletico Madrid XI (4-1-2-1-2): Jan Oblak; Santiago Arias, Felipe, Mario Hermoso, Renan Lodi; Thomas Partey; Koke, Saul Niguez; Angel Correa; Alvaro Morata, Diego Costa
It's been a cagey affair so far, with Atletico largely restricting Leverkusen to efforts from outside the box. The hosts have been the better side, however, while Simeone's two strikers have hardly touched the ball. That will have to change in the second half if they are to get back into the game.
Leverkusen face a tough trip to Wolfsburg next, while Atletico host Espanyol in La Liga.
Thank you for joining our coverage, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until next time, goodbye!
