Both teams were in EFL Cup action in midweek and both suffered defeats, with Watford being knocked out by Everton, suffering a 2-0 defeat and Chelsea lost 2-1 against Manchester United.
Watford have drawn their last three Premier League games, against Sheffield United, Tottenham and Bournemouth and they are currently bottom of the Premier League table. Meanwhile Chelsea have won their last four Premier League games, to move up to fourth in the table.
