Rafa played the final pass before that hopeful effort from Ronaldo, but I'm not sure either of them expected that to be the result!

42'
Lithuania will be thrilled if they can go into half time at 1-1. They've executed their game plan strictly, but would benefit from refreshing their tiring legs.

Portugal examine the Lithuania defence once more with a series of lateral passes 30 yards from goal. As soon as Fernandes takes an errant touch, Slivka's onto him to win back the ball and fend off the away side again.
39'
Ronaldo plays a quick one-two with Joao Felix, before opening up space to shoot from a central position 20 yards out, but his effort's scuffed harmlessly out for a goal kick.
36'
Portugal go close again! Joao Felix is afforded far too much space on the left flank, and he latches onto a Fonte diagonal before firing a venomous shot across goal from 18 yards that Setkus stretches to just tip wide of his post.
32'
Cancelo is causing Lithuania all kinds of problems right now. He opts to hammer a delivery across the face of goal on this occasion, and somehow, it avoids everyone and passes out for a throw-in.

16'
Lithuania win possession high up the pitch, presenting Verbickas with an opportunity to cross but his delivery is calmly cleared by Dias.
14'
Portugal enjoy a spell of possession in their own half, starving the home side of the ball.

Lithuania have started well here, despite the score. They've attacked purposefully with numbers and were unfortunate to give away a penalty in a non-threatening position.
10'
Ronaldo finds a pocket of space on the break and runs at the backtracking Lithuania defence before firing a powerful shot from distance well over the bar.

Hello and welcome to coverage of this European Championship Qualifying fixture between Lithuania and Portugal. The hosts come into this one stranded at the bottom of Group B and face a huge task to avoid defeat against the reigning champions. Portugal, meanwhile, are fresh off a wild 4-2 victory over Serbia and will be looking to cut into Ukraine’s eight-point lead at the top of the group here.

The players emerge from the tunnel to begin their respective anthems. Kick off is seconds away!
Nevertheless, Setkus has needed to produce an inspired performance to stop Portugal from scoring a second. Lithuania will need to put together another disciplined 45 minutes and ride their luck to come away with a point here.
That's all for tonight though, goodbye!
The scoreline does fail to reflect the first-half performance from Lithuania though. They superbly managed to come in at half time level after conceding very few chances and capitalising on their set-piece opportunities. Ultimately, they ran out of steam - but there were positives to take going forward. For Portugal, they gain the win they expected and march closer towards a spot at the European Championships!
