Hello, and welcome to our live coverage of this friendly match between Brazil and Qatar!
Now, let’s take a look at players who will be involved in this match!
Brazil (4-3-3): Ederson Moraes; Daniel Alves, Marquinhos, Miranda, Filipe Luis; Arthur, Casemiro, Philippe Coutinho; Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus, Neymar Jr.
Brazil substitutes: Thiago Silva, Eder Militao, Cassio, Lucas Paqueta, Alex Sandro, Everton, David Neres, Phelipe, Fernandinho, Allan.
Of course, off the field issues are encircling Neymar at the moment with the Brazil star Neymar posting on Instagram earlier saying he was bracing for the toughest match of his career after a rape allegation, which he has vehemently denied.
Qatar (3-5-2): Saad Al Sheeb; Assim Madibo, Boualem Khoukhi, Tarek Salman; Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al Haydos, Salem Al Hajri, Abdelaziz Hatim, Abdelkarim Hassan; Akram Afif, Almoez Ali.
Qatar substitutes: Ahmed Fathy, Ahmed Al Aaeldin, Almahdi Ali, Abdullah Al Ahrak, Mohammed Al bakri, Yousef Hassan, Ahmad Moein, Ali Hassan Afif, Karim Boudiaf, Tameem Mohammed, Hamid Ismaeil, Abdulaziz Al-Ansari.
It will be interesting to see how these sides approach the second half. For Brazil, you'd assume they would stick with what's working thus far, especially considering they already were forced into a change after Neymar's ankle injury. The visitors, though, will likely need to make a change soon in order to either supply more service to their attacking line, or supplement the defence to prevent Brazil from getting into the penalty area seemingly at will. If the wrong choice is made, this match could get out of hand quickly.
These two nations have played just once before, but there’s certainly cause for confidence from both of these sides heading into this friendly.
That will do it for our coverage of this friendly match between Brazil and Qatar! We hope you enjoyed following along, and we hope you will join us again soon!
As for what's coming for these nations, Brazil will have one more tune-up match against Honduras on Sunday while Qatar's next match will mark the beginning of their Copa America adventure when they face Paraguay on June 16th.
