We're underway at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham endured drama of their own at the weekend as Mauricio Pochettino confronted referee Mike Dean after the full-time whistle following his side's defeat to Burnley. It appeared as though he disagreed with a decision on the field, although reports have suggested that a comment made by Dean may have been the cause of the Argentine's fury. Spurs cannot afford another setback if they are to have any hope of competing for the crown. Pochettino will be determined to capitalise on Chelsea's friction tonight.

The drama over the substitution that wasn't overshadowed Chelsea's defeat to Manchester City in the EFL Cup final on Sunday. Kepa Arrizabalaga's refusal to be withdrawn from the action by Maurizio Sarri before penalties drew the headlines, highlighting the current levels of division inside the dressing room at Stamford Bridge. The keeper was fined for the incident and has been benched this evening. It will be interesting to see what lingering effect it has over the performances of the rest of the squad, beginning against Spurs this evening.
Chelsea came out strong in response to the Kepa Arrizabalaga incident and their EFL Cup final defeat. However, they were unable to sustain their pressure, while they were unable to prevent Spurs from gaining the upper hand towards the end of the half. Tottenham will take confidence into the second half to see whether the Blues crack under the pressure.
Chelsea are next in action against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday, while Tottenham face Arsenal in the north London derby at Wembley.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
