Coutinho has plenty of time and space on the edge of the box but slices his effort horridly wide.
90'
Again Barca gets through, and again they can’t make Valladolid pay. Messi played in Suarez, but he was unable to bring the ball under his spell, with Masip gathering in the ball on the deck.
87'
Well, it could have been game over but, with three minutes plus stoppage time remaining, Valladolid are well in this contest. Can they rescue a famous result?
85'
Penalty saved by Jordi Masip!
IT’S SAVED! Masip’s extraordinary performance just got even better! Messi went the same way with his penalty as he did from 12 yards in the first half, but Valladolid’s goalkeeper got down to it. Messi got to the rebound, sending a looping header goalwards, but Masip was right back on his feet to grasp the ball in his right hand and give the visitors hope!
82'
More quick reactions required from Masip, now, as the goalkeeper races out to prevent Suarez capitalising on an error by Olivas. Messi follows up the loose ball, but can’t get a shot off.
81'
A firm challenge from Calero, who immediately apologises to Suarez after he dived in on the Barca striker when the ball had gone. Valladolid’s defender has avoided a booking, though.
79'
Keko Gontán enters the game and replaces E. Ünal.
A third and final change for Valladolid. Unal has made way for Keko.
76'
S. Plaza enters the game and replaces Toni Villa.
I. Rakitić enters the game and replaces Carles Aleñá.
A third and final change from Valverde. Alena's impressive display has come to an end, with Rakitic coming on.
Indeed, Villa cannot carry on, so Valladolid are forced into a substitution, with Stiven Piaza coming on.
72'
Another wonderful run by Alena, who has really taken this game by the scruff of the neck in the second half. He should really have tried his luck with a shot at the end of it, but instead tried to tee up Suarez, who was unable to get there.

Description
70'
Philippe Coutinho enters the game and replaces O. Dembélé.
Míchel Herrero gets yellow.
Another change now, and it’s for Barca. Coutinho is on, replacing Dembele, who has had a quiet second half.
Michel receives a booking for a foul on Alena.
68'
A first change for Valladolid. Verde has made way, with Villa coming on.
67'
Toni Villa enters the game and replaces D. Verde.
L. Messi gets yellow.
Well, moments after he was lucky to escape a booking, the mighty Messi has now received a caution. He did seem to have been fouled by a Valladolid defender, but the referee disagreed. Messi let his annoyance be known, but only compounded the issue by talking his way into the official's book.
64'
Alena has been superb at the heart of Barcelona’s midfield so far, and the youngster gets the hosts off on the counter with a sublime pass into Suarez, who looks to combine with Dembele. Joaquin, who has also been impressive, is on hand to intervene, though.
63'
Antonita tries a spectacular overhead kick after Guardiola does well to loop in a cross from the left, but gets his effort all wrong. That would certainly have been one to remember had it come off!
60'
L. Suárez enters the game and replaces K. Boateng.
Here’s a first change from Valverde, and it isn’t a bad one to be able to make! Boateng’s league debut is over, and he receives a warm round of applause as he makes way for Suarez.
59'
Huge jeers from the Camp Nou faithful now, as Messi is penalised for a lunge on Antonito. In all honesty, he is perhaps fortunate to have escaped a booking for that challenge. It was high and late.
58'
It has been a frantic start to this second half, especially from Barca, who have clearly been tasked with getting a second goal in order to put this contest to bed.
51'
In a near carbon-copy of the penalty incident, Pique leads a Barca counter after Ter Stegen had set him away following a Valladolid counter. This time, though, the defender is stopped in his tracks in midfield.
48'
Valladolid have the first sighting of goal in this half, as Guardiola drags an effort wide from the edge of the area.
46'
We're back for the second half at Camp Nou. No changes for either side at the break.
45' +1
HALF-TIME: BARCELONA 1-0 REAL VALLADOLID.
43'
Penalty goal scored by L. Messi for Barcelona!
GOAL! MESSI MAKES IT 1-0! No mistake from Messi, who finds the bottom-right corner with pinpoint precision. Masip went the right way, but couldn’t get there.
40'
Wasteful from Dembele! Barca’s three attackers isolate Valladolid’s defence, but with both Messi and Boateng in support, Dembele cannot find either of his team-mates, and Valladolid come away unscathed.
38'
Messi looks to play in Pique with a quick free-kick, but the defender is marshalled well. Roberto picks up the scraps and floats in another cross, but Valladolid’s defence stands firm once more.
36'
Messi swings in the free-kick, but there is no power or curl on his delivery, and Valladolid clear with ease. They look to counter, but Nacho’s pass into Unal is cut out, and Barca have control once again.
34'
A. Tuhami gets yellow.
Great work by Roberto, who manages to keep a stray ball from Messi in play. Valladolid’s defence can’t clear their lines, allowing Busquets to steal the ball back and draws. Foul from Anuar.
31'
Classy play from Messi, who creates space where there looked to be none, before slipping it into Dembele’s feet. The youngster had Alba in support, but did not seem to spot him, dallying on the ball, and allowing Valladolid to recover.
29'
A poor few moments for Vidal. First, he wastes a brilliant opportunity to put Barca in, only to hit a pass into nobody. He tries to rectify his mistake by tracking back, only to barge into Unal and concede a free-kick.
24'
Terrific play from Dembele, who twists and turns his way around two defenders before attempting to get a cross in. His delivery takes a deflection, but fortunately for Valladolid, it falls kindly for Joaquin to clear.
22'
Good work from Guardiola, as he combines with Unal to get into Barca’s area. Just as he looked set to get a shot off, however, Pique manages to adjust his feet and make a block, with Ter Stegen out to gather the loose ball.
15'
Slick play from Barca in midfield – Messi combing with Alena, who then proceeds to thread a subtle pass into Dembele. The winger drives at the box before lifting in a cross that was destined for Boateng, but a defender gets there first.
13'
Outstanding defending from Joaquin, who makes a fantastically timed challenge to prevent Dembele getting in on goal.
12'
Barcelona are not playing with a traditional 4-3-3, but instead it seems to be more of a 2-5-1-2, with Messi sitting in between the lines and the full-backs pressing high up. Dembele and Boateng are acting as the forwards.
11'
E. Ünal gets yellow.
Typically clever play from Busquets, who makes the most of a challenge from Unal. Valladolid's young striker did raise an elbow, but the contact did not seem enough to warrant a booking.
7'
Unal does well to evade Vidal’s challenge, only to then concede possession with a sloppy pass straight to Pique. Messi then takes charge, leading Barca up the pitch and back onto the front foot.
3'
Valladolid show no hesitation in getting the ball upfield, and get a corner in reward. Verde’s delivery is a poor one, but the winger gets it back, and manages to force the ball out off Pique. Barca, though, clear their lines at the second attempt.

KICK-OFF! We are up and running. The referee at Camp Nou is Juan Martinez Munuera.
Welcome to LIVE coverage of the final LaLiga fixture of the day, as leaders Barcelona host Real Valladolid!
Two successive draws have put the breaks on Barca’s charge to the title, but Ernesto Valverde – who this week signed a new deal at Camp Nou – has been fortunate that Atletico Madrid, who did win today, have failed to capitalise, although Real Madrid have been closing ground.
BARCELONA SUBS: Ivan Rakitic, Clement Lenket, Luis Suarez, Inaki Pena, Malcom, Coutinho, Nelson Semedo.
BARCELONA (4-3-3): Marc-Andre ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Gerard Pique, Thomas Vermaelen, Jordi Alba; Arturo Vidal, Sergio Busquets, Carles Alena; Lionel Messi, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Ousmane Dembele.
Nevertheless, Barca can restore their seven-point lead at the top with a win today, against a Valladolid side who have won just one of their last six league outings, and sit 15th.
VALLADOLID SUBS: Duje Cop, Yoel Rodriguez, Borja Fernandez, Keko, Stiven Piaza, Toni Villa, Javi Moyano.
The teams are coming out onto the pitch and we are almost ready to go!
As it stands, though, Barca are set to restore their seven-point lead at the top of LaLiga. Valverde, however, will certainly be wanting an improved display from his side after the interval in order to get the win wrapped up.
Barca’s players rightly went up to congratulate their former team-mate Masip for his performance after the whistle, but ultimately Valladolid come away with nothing despite their spirited efforts. Valverde’s side, meanwhile, have moved seven points clear at the top.
The focus for Barca will now switch to the Champions League, with Lyon coming up in midweek. Until next time, thank you and goodbye!
