Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League match between Everton and Tottenham at Goodison Park.
Everton are currently on a four-match winless run in the league coming into this game; their last win was a 1-0 victory over Cardiff in November. Spurs, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, winning four of those and drawing the other.
SPURS XI (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris; Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies, Kieran Trippier; Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks; Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen; Harry Kane.
SPURS SUBS: Kyle Walker-Peters, Juan Foyth, Oliver Skipp, Danny Rose, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Paulo Gazzaniga.
EVERTON XI (4-2-3-1): Jordan Pickford; Kurt Zouma, Michael Keane, Seamus Coleman, Lucas Digne; Tom Davies, Andre Gomes; Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Theo Walcott; Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The players are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just minutes away.
Everton started the game brightly and took the lead through Theo Walcott, and could have been 2-0 up after Calvert-Lewin's header found the back of the net, but it was disallowed. It didn't take long for Spurs to find their rhythm though and goals from Son, Alli and Kane means they have a two goal cushion going into the second half.
Everton have sometimes looked dangerous going forward and they look like they could get another goal, but have struggled to find that clinical pass that would get them in behind the Spurs defence. If they want to keep Spurs quiet though, they need to be sharper when defending as the away side look like they have more goals in them.
The win for Spurs sees them close the gap to second place Manchester City to two points, while also gaining a five point lead over Chelsea and Arsenal below them. They have also extended their unbeaten streak to six games in all competitions going into their game against Bournemouth on Boxing Day. Everton missed the chance to climb up to seventh in the table and instead go into Christmas in 11th place, and will be hoping they can end their winless run against Burnley in their next game.
