Neuer flings himself at the corner but cannot connect and Duda dribbles away.
A heavy touch from Duda enables Kimmich to regain possession for Bayern with their goal gaping, and the Slovakian goes into the book for a reckless challenge on the Bayern right-back.
90' +3
Gnabry is down in the box after a collision with Rekik, but there was nothing in it. Mittelstadt can't stop it going out for a corner and Neuer comes up for it.
90' +2
D. Jastrzembski enters the game and replaces J. Dilrosun.
When Dilrosun does reach the sideline, he is replaced by Jastrzembski.
90' +1
J. Dilrosun gets yellow.
Dilrosun is shown a yellow card for taking too long to leave the pitch when being replaced. He claims not to have seen his number go up, though.
Kimmich swings it in and an offside is given against Lewandowski! What a waste. It's been signalled there will be a minimum of four added minutes.
90'
Selke needlessy dives in on Lewandowski out on Bayern's right and gifts the visitors a free-kick. They need a goal from this if they're to have any chance of a dramatic comeback...
88'
Hertha win a free-kick inside their own box as Gnabry leads with his arm when going up to challenge Dilrosun to a header. Time is quickly running out for Bayern.
87'
Lewandowski shows his frustration after Kimmich sends him wide on the right and he can only win a corner. Kimmich floats the set-piece towards Boateng, but Skjelbred comes away with possession and wins a free-kick off Ribery.
85'
Bayern's desperation to get a goal back appears to hit new heights as Sule tries his luck from 25 yards. He is nowhere near testing Kraft and jogs back into position with his head down.
84'
Thiago is penalised for a foul on Duda inside the Hertha half and Kraft takes as much time as possible to restart the play, doing so with a long kick towards the corner up the other end.
Minute
Description
82'
Gnabry comes in from the right and creates enough room up against Mittelstadt to produce a shot that skids wide of the bottom-right corner.
81'
The whistles continue as Bayern dominate possession. Hertha look fairly comfortably sitting back and defending their lead now.
79'
LEWANDOWSKI! The striker gets his head to a corner at the back post but, from inside the six-yard box, he can't beat Kraft, who once more quickly reacts by flinging a hand in the way of the ball. Wagner again claims he was fouled in the area.
78'
Bayern just seem to be trying too hard and Wagner goes down inside the box under pressure but nothing is given. Ribery keeps things alive but his shot takes a touch off Lazaro and goes wide.
77'
Gnabry closes down Mittelstadt and earns Bayern a throw-in in a dangerous position from nothing. The visitors are keeping hold of the ball and penning Hertha in. Boateng alleviates the pressure with an overhit cross to Muller, though.
75'
Ribery sends a lovely ball into the box and Gnabry leaps to catch it on the volley. It's at an awkward height and, although he gets it back across goal, he's unable to test Kraft.
72'
S. Wagner enters the game and replaces J. Rodríguez.
Kovac takes his final gamble of the match, sending Wagner on for James.
71'
M. Leckie enters the game and replaces S. Kalou.
Leckie comes on to make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a knee injury, with Kalou the man to make way.
70'
Bayern have a free-kick in a promising area around 30 yards out. Alaba goes directly for goal but is unable to find the target, sending his effort high and wide.
68'
HOW HAS IT NOT GOINE IN?! A corner from Kimmich is guided on target by the head of Boateng at the near post. Kraft flings an arm in the way and neither Lewandowski or James can add a finishing touch, with Stark ensuring Gnabry is unable to follow up.
66'
Dilrosun somehow manages to get away from Muller and Kimmich on the left, but his cross goes straight to Sule and Bayern clear the danger. Hertha have been a lot more conservative in terms of getting numbers forward since the restart.
65'
Bayern's best moments have come from Ribery and Alaba combing down the left. They do so again and the Austrian's powerful, low cutback is sent behind by Rekik.
63'
S. Gnabry enters the game and replaces Renato Sanches.
An attacking change from Kovac now, with Gnabry on for Sanches.
62'
Ribery again thinks he is fouled by Lazaro, but the right-back is not penalised. There was a delightful first touch from the Frenchman before that, though.
61'
Mittelstadt attempts to dribble Sanches' loose cross away from danger and runs it out for a throw-in. He tries to stop James taking it quickly and is shoved to the ground for his troubles. The referee tries to calm things down before allowing play to restart.
60'
Ribery attacks Lazaro along the byline from the left, knocking the ball beyond the right-back. He's blocked out as he attempts to remain in possession and claims for a penalty. The referee is unmoved, though.
59'
Sule is not happy about a free-kick being given to Selke, who held the ball up well just inside the Bayern half. Lazaro tries to pick out the former RB Leipzig striker in the box but a deflection on his cross sends it looping to Neuer.
58'
Kimmich wins a corner by dribbling at Mittelstadt and James swings it towards the penalty spot, where Rekik is again up to nod away. He's been brilliant at the heart of Hertha's defence.
54'
Kimmich bends a nice delivery in from the right and Muller helps it on towards Lewandowski at the back post. The striker dives for the ball and connects with a stretched out leg, but he cannot steer it back on target.
53'
D. Selke enters the game and replaces V. Ibišević.
Alaba just rifled a fine effort narrowly wide of the upright. Hertha are going to respond with a substitution of their own now.
Ibisevic, who was booked in the first half, makes way for Selke. That suggests Dardai doesn't want to sit back on a two-goal lead for now.
52'
T. Müller enters the game and replaces A. Robben.
Kovac takes action and it is an early exit for Robben, who makes way for Muller. Will that lead to a change in shape?
50'
GREAT BLOCK! James' corner picks out Thiago, whose header takes a nick off Rekik and looks destined for the bottom-left corner. Dilrosun planted himself in its path to stop Bayern reducing the deficit.
49'
Sanches picks up the ball in a central area 25 yards and releases a shot that skids wide of the target. There's a bit more urgency about Bayern now.
48'
J. Kimmich gets yellow.
A yellow card is shown to Kimmich for cynically pulling down Kalou after the former Chelsea man got the better of him and threatened to break clear.
47'
Kimmich drives to the byline and fires a pass from Robben back towards the penalty spot. Mittelstadt slices an attempted clearance and James' volley is deflected behind for a corner which comes to nothing.
46'
Bayern get the second half going!
45' +3
HALF-TIME: HERTHA BERLIN 2-0 BAYERN MUNICH.
45' +2
Lewandowski pulls wide to the left and looks for a team-mate in the box. He attempts to curl a pass into the path of Ribery but gets it wrong and gives away possession.
45'
There are going to be a minimum of two added minutes.
44'
O. Duda has scored a goal for Hertha Berlin! Assist by V. Lazaro.
Lazaro has been brilliant at both ends tonight and he showed great awareness to tee up Duda for his fifth Bundesliga goal of the season.
GOOOOOOAAAAL!! DUDA MAKES IT 2-0!! Hertha quickly get up the other end and Kalou sends Lazaro to the byline. He cuts a first-time pass back to Duda and he rifles emphatically into the roof of the net!
43'
That would've been magnificent! Robben slides an exquisite diagonal pass into the box from the right wing and James helps it on to Lewandowski with a delightful first touch. The Poland international dummies it and hesitates, enabling Maier to get a foot in and clear.
41'
James lifts a free-kick in the box and it ends up falling nicely for Thiago. He fires a right-footed half-volley towards goal that Lazaro is placed perfectly to block.
40'
V. Ibišević gets yellow.
Ibisevic is the first man into the book after appearing to catch Thiago while challenging for a high ball near the halfway line.
39'
WHAT A CHANCE! BUT IT'S OVER! Alaba underlaps Ribery and drives a fierce cross into the six-yard box. It finds Robben in an ideal position, but he cannot get over it and fires high of a gaping goal!
38'
Whistles ring out around the Olympiastadion as Maier stays down after seeing Robben take the ball off his toe on the edge of the Hertha box. Bayern eventually put it out of play so the midfielder can get back to his feet.
36'
Ribery and Alaba again look to unlock Hertha from the left, but once more Lazaro is on hand with a block. James can only find Rekik in the box this time.
34'
Duda is off the field receiving treatment on his wrist following a tackle from Thiago. He's quickly back into the action and it looks like he'll be able to continue.
32'
Sule can only clear for a corner, which Lazaro swings into the centre. Stark gets up and meets a header from Duda with one of his own that sails over the top.
31'
Lazaro nips in ahead of Sanches and exchanges passes with Kalou, whose attempt to slide one into his team-mate's path in the box is cut out by Sule.
30'
Boateng lifts a pass over the top of the Hertha defence and Ribery is unable to keep it in play. The Frenchman clearly isn't happy, booting the ball into the hoardings in frustration.
29'
Ribery and Alaba play a neat one-two on the left, but Lazaro gets a foot in and sends the ball out for a corner. The subsequent delivery falls to Lewandowski at the back post and his drive into the centre deflects away.
25'
THAT LOOKED IN! Kimmich twists away from Rekik and drills a low shot towards the far corner. It hits Ribery and loops into the side netting, fooling half the ground.
24'
Kalou pulled out of the challenge with Boateng at the last second, but the centre-back got nowhere near the ball. A moment of madness from the Germany international.
23'
Penalty goal scored by V. Ibišević for Hertha Berlin!
GOOOOOOAL! IT'S 1-0! Ibisevic sends Neuer the wrong way, sending his spot-kick into the left side of the net. That's his fourth Bundesliga goal of the season.
22'
WHAT A SAVE! BUT NOW THERE'S A PENALTY! Duda turns away from Thiago brilliantly and floats a diagonal delivery to Ibisevic, whose header is parried by Neuer. Boateng dives in to try to keep Kalou away from the ball and sends the Ivorian tumbling!
20'
Robben is perhaps lucky Skjelbred didn't go down after the Dutchman dived in on the edge of the box. Fortunately for him, the Hertha midfielder overran the ball and it went out for a goal-kick.
19'
WIDE! Ribery breezes past Lazaro and gets to the byline, from where he stands a cross up to the back post. Lewandowski connects with a header that he sends back across goal and off target.
18'
Hertha look to hit Bayern on the counter-attack after a loose touch from Lewandowski, but Ibisevic is unable to find the killer pass to Kalou.
17'
Thiago pushes up on Maier and regains possession for Bayern near the halfway line. James and Sanches attempt to create something from the right on the break but neither can engineer an opening and the ball ricochets off the later and goes out for a Hertha throw-in.
16'
Boateng attempts to switch the play from deep and his raking, cross-field pass is too high for Sanches. There's a short break before play restarts as the referee has a word with Skjelbred.
14'
SO CLOSE! James' corner from the left finds the head of Boateng, who leaps away from Kalou and narrowly misses the top-left corner of the net!
12'
Another dangerous delivery from Hertha, as Maier guides the ball right across the face of goal. Sule is unable to cut it out and Ibisevic trips Kimmich when he brings it under control.
11'
Hertha are stringing some nice passes together now. Mittelstadt drills a low cross into the box from the left wing which is dealt with by the visiting defence. There's a coming together between Rekik and Lewandowski and referee Marco Fritz gives the centre-back a talking to.
9'
Rekik produces an expertly timed tackle on James inside the box but Bayern keep the pressure on. Lewandowski feeds Ribery down the left channel and his delivery finds a Hertha shirt.
8'
Kalou drives forward and plays a one-two with Ibisevic on the edge of the area. His touch on the return gets away from him and Boateng gets it away. Hertha recover possession and Lazaro overhits an attempt to find Ibisevic and Neuer gathers.
6'
Kimmich whips a cross in from the right that former Bayern goalkeeper Kraft flaps at. Ribery is lurking at the back post but Lazaro acrobatically manages to get the ball clear before the winger can get to it.
5'
Thiago is sitting the deepest of the midfield three, with James and Sanches pushing up alongside Lewandowski when Bayern have possession in the opposition half. With Ribery and Robben out wide they are really looking to stretch the defence.
4'
Lazaro gets past Alaba with a brilliant first touch on the right wing, but he's unable to pick out a team-mate after driving into the box. The Hertha defender got the better of his fellow Austrian there.
3'
Neither side has settled in possession yet, with a number of long passes seeing the ball change hands a number of times.
1'
Hertha get the ball rolling at the Olympiastadion!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Bundesliga clash between leaders Bayern Munich and high-flying Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion.
Bayern will be hoping to get back to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw by Bavarian rivals Augsburg on Tuesday, but Hertha have made a strong start to the season despite a 3-1 loss to Werder Bremen earlier this season and will be no walkovers.
The teams have been announced, so let's see how they'll be lining up.
Hertha (4-2-3-1): Thomas Kraft; Valentino Lazaro, Niklas Stark, Karim Rekik, Maximilian Mittelstadt; Per Skjelbred, Arne Maier; Salomon Kalou, Ondrej Duda, Javairo Dilrosun; Vedad Ibisevic.
Bayern subs: Sven Ulreich, Mats Hummels, Javi Martinez, Jonathan Meier, Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Sandro Wagner.
Bayern (4-3-3): Manuel Neuer; Joshua Kimmich, Niklas Sule, Jerome Boateng, David Alaba; James Rodriguez, Thiago Alcantara, Renato Sanches; Arjen Robben, Robert Lewandowski, Franck Ribery.
Hertha subs: Jonathan Klinsmann, Marvin Plattenhardt, Dennis Jastrzembski, Fabian Lustenberger, Palko Dardai, Mathew Leckie, Davie Selke.
The teams are out on the pitch and kick-off will be upon us momentarily.
Bayern coach Niko Kovac has made seven changes from the rotated side that drew with Augsburg for his return to Hertha - where he spent two spells as a player and made 223 appearances - with Lewandowski, James and Boateng restored after playing no part on Tuesday. There are five alterations for the hosts.
That was an incredible 45 minutes for Hertha, who are on course for a huge result against the Bundesliga champions. Things just haven't quite clicked for Bayern so far, though Ribery and Alaba have been working well together on the left. A big second half awaits Kovac's side.
There would likely have been a very different mood in the Bayern dressing room if Robben had converted a gilt-edged chance, a miss that was punished further by Duda adding to Ibisevic's penalty. Hertha have been impressive, but with Boateng giving a cheap spot-kick away, Bayern have only hindered their own cause.
Bayern suffer their first defeat of Kovac's reign at the Olympiastadion courtesy of a penalty from Ibisevic and Duda's emphatic first-half strike. It is Hertha's first win over the Bavarian giants in 15 Bundesliga matches and sends them joint-top of the table.
It was a real shock in Berlin, with Bayern guilty of overplaying the ball and committing sloppy errors at both ends. Thanks a lot for joining us and until next time, goodbye!
