END OF REGULAR TIME: TOTTENHAM 2-2 WATFORD
90' +3
Son makes a final break down the left wing - but cannot find Llorente in the box, passing to Wilmot instead who clears.
90' +2
Watford have the wind at their backs, and look to camp down around the Spurs box. Sanchez has other ideas though and wins the ball to spark a counter.
90'
There's going to be four added minutes at Stadium MK; will there be more drama to stave off a penalty shoot-out?
89'
É. Capoue has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by A. Mariappa.
My word. Football. What a game. Watford, with regular time almost over, have snatched a lifelife through a wicked deflection off Davies. Success breaks down the left wing, then snakes back through the box to square a ball to Mariappa. The Hornets captain lays it back inside to Capoue on the edge of the box and the substitute blasts a shot in that glances off the Spurs defender to wrong-foot Gazzaniga. 2-2; what a second half this has been.
CAPOUE EQUALISES FOR WATFORD! 2-2! WHAT A SECOND HALF!

Description
87'
É. Lamela gets yellow.
Yellow card Erik Lamela
86'
É. Lamela has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by M. Dembélé.
Watford will be heartbroken. From their own set-piece, Dembele ruthlessly exploited with a counter-attack and, despite having been the better side for the best part of an hour in this game, they are set to bow out of the EFL Cup in the next 10 minutes.
LAMELA FOR TOTTENHAM! 2-1! The noise is deafening around Stadium MK as the nominal hosts take the lead with just under five minutes to go! A Watford free-kick deflects nicely for Spurs and Dembele breaks down the right wing. He pushes a pass in field for Lamela - and he meets it just before Gomes can on the edge of the box, tucking it past the keeper and into the bottom-right corner. Sensational scenes.
84'
É. Capoue enters the game and replaces K. Sema.
83'
Watford make their last change now, with Capoue on for Sema. Penalties are beckoning unless one side can find a second in the next few minutes...
82'
ALLI LEVELS FOR SPURS! 1-1! The prodigal son, on the ground where he scored his very first goal as a professional footballer, puts Tottenham back in this game. He places it to the left and though Gomes dives the right way, he can't stop it from nestling into the back of the net. Does another twist beckon in this tale?
81'
C. Kabasele goes off after a red card!
Penalty goal scored by D. Alli for Tottenham Hotspur!
PENALTY TO SPURS! Lamela slips a ball neatly in for Alli and Kabasele brings him down with a clip to the back of the heels inside the box. The referee points straight to the spot and shows the Watford man a straight red card for good measure. Both sides are down a man now.
80'
A worrying detail for Spurs; Aurier has limped off down the tunnel and with no changes left, Tottenham will play out the rest of this game with 10 men.
79'
Tottenham have a great set-piece chance following a foul on the right wing and Lamela floats it in wonderfully. However, the flag goes up against Llorente and Watford get the free-kick from the offside call.
77'
C. Kabasele enters the game and replaces Marc Navarro.
Watford make their latest change, bringing on Kabasele for Navarro.
75'
Son slips into the Watford box and looks to have beaten Gomes with a low shot, pushing it past the keeper - only for Wilmot to clear off the line with a timely intervention.
74'
Spurs ride their luck - and then some. A poor backpass goes straight to Hughes who squares the ball to Chalobah in the middle of the Tottenham box. Last-ditch defence deflects the ball to Sema who tries to volley near the left post and misses entirely.
72'
Llorente goes close with his first contribution too; he rises to meet a great Aurier cross and just nods it over the crossbar.
70'
Fernando Llorente enters the game and replaces Lucas Moura.
Tottenham make their final change with 20 minutes left; Llorente replaces Lucas as they look to snatch an equaliser.
69'
W. Hughes enters the game and replaces Kiko Femenía.
68'
Davies and Son play a lovely one-two to nip into the Watford box, but the former then plays the wrong pass to Alli and Wilmot intercepts.
Femenia has had a rather brilliant spell since the restart for Watford but he bows out for Hughes now, who adds a bit more heft to the Hornets.
66'
This is an utterly engrossing second half at Stadium MK. Tottenham have been banging on Watford's door ever since they went behind, and the Hornets are weathering the storm with some gutsy work.
64'
M. Dembélé enters the game and replaces V. Wanyama.
Son Heung-Min enters the game and replaces M. Sissoko.
It's a double change for Spurs; Son indeed arrives, to replace Sissoko...
...and Dembele comes on for Wanyama.
63'
Sanchez heads wide from the set-piece, as the hosts' bench sees some activity. Son - the big game matchwinner on so many occasions - looks poised to enter.
62'
Tottenham come again and it takes a Quina clearance to deny them as Alli has a chance. Corner to Spurs.
60'
Alli heads back a cross to Davies outside the box who slices his shot over the crossbar. The hosts are missing the finishing touch, though their intensity is fully restored 15 minutes into this second half.
57'
Lucas and Aurier fly down the right wing to slip the net of the Watford defence and cut it back to Sissoko who lines up a vicious strike. It sails straight into Mariappa and deflects back kindly for the Hornets; calls for a handball go unheeded by the referee.
55'
Stadium MK holds a special place for Dele Alli; the Spurs man scored his first professional goal at the ground, for MK Dons against Cambridge. He nearly adds to that tally, busting a shot over the crossbar from a tight angle on the right edge of the box.
53'
Davies turns a neat cross into the Watford box on the counter for Spurs; Cathcart sees it away as he blocks Lucas with a sly interception.
51'
Down the other end, Watford go close to making it two after Chalobah and Femenia combine beautifully to slip the latter into the box, and his shot stings the palms of Gazzaniga.
50'
The Hornets clear the set-piece as far as Aurier who hooks a 25-yard effort over the crossbar by some distance.
48'
Quite understandably, that early goal has galvanised Spurs and they race off from the restart to pressure the Hornets box. They win a corner off Masina after Watford stoutly see off Aurier and Winks' attempts to enter the penalty area.
46'
I. Success has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by Kiko Femenía.
We're back underway in the second half at Stadium MK; will it be Tottenham or Watford who seize this tie and progress to the fourth round?
Navarro played a lovely throughball downfield there, pacing it perfectly to avoid the offside trap. Javi Gracia will be very happy with the start to the second half.
SUCCESS FOR WATFORD! 1-0! The Hornets lead within the first minute of the second half as Navarro picks up a poor pass in midfield and slides it through for the striker, who holds off the challenge of Aurier coming into the right-edge of the Spurs box, before neatly striking it below Gazzaniga. What a start for the visitors!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: TOTTENHAM 0-0 WATFORD
45'
There will be one added minute of injury time.
44'
Lucas cuts back the ball to Wanyama on the edge of the box, who hooks it high and over the crossbar with his effort from distance.
42'
Chalobah releases Sema down the left but Aurier cuts bck to check the move and Watford roll themselves back to the centre-circle to regroup.
40'
Despite those early flourishes, Spurs have been rather limp for most of this game. Watford look the more dynamic of the two, but they don't look likely to threaten on a regular basis either.
39'
Masina is fouled by Lamela out on the right wing and Watford have a free-kick, though they cannot turn it into a solid attacking chance.
37'
A throw-in deep in Watford territory gives Spurs a chance to gain a foothold after a period pinned down in their own half - but then Alderweireld plays a poor pass and the visitors intercept to take it away to halfway.
35'
Navarro and Sissoko come together in a bruising challenge inside the Tottenham box and the latter has to get some treatment after he stays down.
33'
Back-to-back fouls give Watford a set-piece chance on the left wing which is duly lofted into the box. Femenia gets a glance but can't direct it and Spurs clear their lines.
31'
Success pops up behind the Spurs defence and turns a cut-back into the centre of the box for Sema; Aurier somehow manages to blindly catch the volley as the Hornets man goes to shoot and sends it in a towering arc to his own keeper.
29'
Sema earns a corner after he tries to turn a cross in from the left that takes a glancing blow off Aurier. Watford play it short and deep again, and Navarro blasts another long-distance effort towards goal that just glides over the crossbar.
28'
Sanchez clatters Success near the halfway line and the Hornets pick up the free-kick.
24'
Watford almost invite a Spurs goal with some shaky defence in the box as Gomes comes off his line to meet a ball destined for Lucas, only to miss his cue. Masina manages to clear and sparks a long counter that ends with Success pushing an effort wide of goal.
22'
Chance for Alli! Aurier squares a pass off the right wing to Lucas, who meets it at the near post, turns and sprays it across the goal, with the England man unable to reach it in time for a tap-in at the left side of the woodwork.
20'
Both sides become locked in a midfield battle, pinging around passes to and fro with little ground gained. Alli and Aurier look the sharper threats for Spurs so far but Watford are sitting quite comfortable too.
18'
Lamela hits the turf in the Watford box on the end of an Alli run a few moments later and looks for a penalty; none is forthcoming, with play continuing as the visitors break back to halfway.
17'
Lamela plays the set-piece short again but the Hornets intercept and then win a free-kick off a Davies foul as they look to counter.
16'
Lucas wings a wide, booming cross from left to right and picks out Aurier on the far flank. Spurs are frustrated though as Watford's defence flexes to meet their attack; they are able to earn a corner in the end after Navarro heads out a ball booted into the box.
12'
Femenia flashes a wicked ball across the face of goal from the right wing that Sema almost manages to land a foot on. He misses by inches and it skips away for a Spurs free-kick.
10'
Aurier pokes a decent low cross into the Watford box, but only finds Gomes who drops to claim it with some degree of comfort.
8'
Tottenham play it around their defensive line, with Sanchez and Gazzaniga flicking passes back and forth for a short passage. Watford don't seem inclined to attack however; both sides are teasing each other out.
6'
Lamela plays the set-piece short to Lucas, who lofts it on the angle back into the box, Watford's defence switches off for a moment, but Wanyama can't find the pass with his head and the Hornets belatedly clear the box.
5'
Alli tears off down the left wing for Spurs now, and goes end-to-end before earning a corner off a deflection from Wilmot.
4'
Quina and Sema come down the left wing, looking to slip into the Spurs box out wide; Sanchez forces them out however and the Watford pair end up conceding the goal-kick.
2'
There's the sense that Tottenham have a score to settle following their loss earlier in the season. Cathcart - the man who scored the winner for Watford last time out - shores up a throughball aimed towards Lucas in his own box.

We are underway in this 2018-19 EFL Cup third round clash between Tottenham and Watford!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the third round of the 2018-19 EFL Cup for an all Premier League tie as Tottenham Hotspur and Watford meet at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes.
The pair face each other for the second time in a month – and on neutral ground too, following the delay to the nominal hosts’ new stadium at White Hart Lane. The Hornets won 2-1 at Vicarage Road just over three weeks ago in the league; can Spurs claim a measure of revenge in this knockout tie?
Stadium MK, opened in 2007, is the venue then for Tottenham to call home for this encounter – though it could have been a more familiar locale to Spurs fans had their temporary move to Wembley not gone through. A groundshare between the London club and MK Dons was mooted in 2014 but never materialised after the switch to the national stadium was approved.
Team news now and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino makes eight changes from the side who won 2-1 against Brighton at the weekend, with Lucas Moura, Toby Alderweireld and Paulo Gazzaniga starting. Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen are rested entirely, with no place on the bench.
As for Watford, Craig Cathcart is the only survivor from their 1-1 draw with Fulham; Javi Gracia make 10 changes, with every incoming player yet to start a Premier League game this season.
TOTTENHAM (4-5-1): Paulo Gazzaniga; Davinson Sanchez, Ben Davies, Toby Alderweireld, Serge Aurier; Dele Alli, Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama, Harry Winks, Erik Lamela; Lucas Moura.
Subs: Will Hughes, Roberto Pereyra, Christian Kabasele, Jose Holebas, Etienne Capoue, Pontus Dahlberg, Andre Gray.
WATFORD (4-5-1): Heurelho Gomes; Adrian Mariappa, Craig Cathcart, Adam Masina, Marc Navarro; Ken Sema, Nathaniel Chalobah, Ben Wilmot, Kiko Femenia, Domingos Quina; Isaac Success.
Subs: Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele, Juan Foyth, Alfie Whiteman, Son Heung-min, Kyle Walker-Peters, Fernando Llorente.
The teams are out at Stadium MK and we're moments away from kick-off.
It's all square at Stadium MK at the break in an even-keeled EFL Cup encounter. Spurs started the stronger of the two but faded under the weight of pressure from the Hornets; yet neither look close to finding a way through. At half-time, It's Tottenham 0-0 Watford.
Mauricio Pochettino and Javi Gracia must be mulling an early swap or two here; Spurs in particular are in need of a spark in front of goal. Remember, if this game ends as a tie, it goes to a penalty shootout with no extra-time.
TOTTENHAM SCORE! 2-3. Llorente blasts it into the roof of the net.
WATFORD SCORE! 2-2. Hughes rolls it in at the left.
WATFORD MISS! 2-3. Quina puts it to the left with power but Gazzaniga makes a great stop.
TOTTENHAM SCORE! 2-4! ALLI WINS IT FOR SPURS!
FULL-TIME: TOTTENHAM 2-2 WATFORD (TOTTENHAM WIN 4-2 ON PENALTIES)
Could it be anyone else? Dele Alli wins it for Tottenham with a well-placed penalty to the left that Gomes can't stop going in despite a touch. Watford will be gutted with that result; Spurs will be over the moon. They progress to the fourth round of the EFL Cup; at full-time, it finishes Tottenham 2-2 Watford, with Spurs winning 4-2 on penalties.
Their measure of revenge earned, Tottenham return to league duty this weekend with a clash against Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. Watford meanwhile face a trip south of the M25 to Arsenal. Until then however, thank you for joining us - and have a good week!
It was far from a vintage first half - but the second 45 minutes served up everything you could wish for. An early strike from Success lifted Watford into the driving seat and woke up their hosts with a shock to the system. Spurs introduced Son, Dembele and Llorente as they looked for a comeback - and were then handed one on a silver platter after Kabasele fouled Alli for a penalty. With the Hornets man shown a straight red, the England playmaker duly drilled home to tie things up before a breakaway move finished by Lamela put Spurs in front for the first time with five minutes to go. Yet the drama didn't stop there; Capoue, off the bench, saw his effort take a lucky deflection a minute from injury time to force penalties. Gazzaniga made two crucial stops - and Alli once again became the hero as he sent Spurs onto the next stage of the EFL Cup.
Blimey. After a first half that was less than thrilling, to put it kindly, Tottenham and Watford have served up a sizzling second act with more twists and turns than a roller coaster. Goals for Success, Alli, Lamela and Capoue mean that this game goes penalties; after regular time, it is Tottenham 2-2 Watford.
Watford will take the first penalty, with Success stepping up...
WATFORD MISS! 1-1. Capoue strikes it poorly to the left and Gazzaniga drops on it like a stone.
TOTTENHAM SCORE! 1-1. Son makes no mistake and puts it to the left as Gomes goes the wrong way.
WATFORD SCORE! 1-0. Success blasts it into the top-left corner, cool as a cucumber.
TOTTENHAM SCORE! 1-2. Lamela adds to his goal in regular time with a well-placed spot-kick.
