Into the final three minutes of additional time. Wissam Ben Yedder will undoubtably get Man of the Match following his hat-trick but Joaquin Correa and Franco Vazquez have been very impressive.
88'
J. Mešanović enters the game and replaces Marcos Tavares.
Sevilla have found their mojo again and Sarabia has dragged a shot wide of goal, with Handanovic left flat footed.
Marcos Taveres' night has come to a close and the striker has been unable to add to his four Champions League goals this season, having fed on scraps this evening. Jasmin Mesanovic, who started the weekend's 3-2 win over Aluminj, comes on.
86'
G. Pizarro enters the game and replaces É. Banega.
Final change for Sevilla and it won't be Ben Yedder getting a standing ovation. Summer signing Guido Pizarro comes on, replacing fellow Argentine Banega.
85'
Jesus Navas has been a threat since coming on and he's struck an effort at goal straight into the face of Handanovic. Fortunately, the keeper is alright.
83'
Penalty goal scored by W. Ben Yedder for Sevilla!
Was there any doubt? Ben Yedder tucks the ball away into the bottom right hand corner to secure the match ball. He's grabbed a hat-trick and his tally now stands at four goals from two matches.
81'
Remarkably, that was Sevilla's 21st shot on goal this evening. Domination doesn't even begin to cover it.
80'
Off the bar! I have no idea how Sevilla aren't further ahead. Sloppy defending from Maribor almost comes back to bite them as Ben Yedder pounces on a loose ball, flicking a pass over to substitute Jesus Navas. The winger lofts an effort over the head of Handanovic but it bounces off the top of the bar.
79'
Pablo Sarabia enters the game and replaces F. Vázquez.
An attacking change now from Sevilla could provide some spark into the final ten minutes. Vazquez, who's had a solid game, is taken off and former Getafe man Pablo Sarabia enters the fray.
77'
Another chance for a hat-trick comes and goes for Ben Yedder. Vazquez again is the provider but the striker's attempt is blocked by Billong.
74'
D. Hotić enters the game and replaces M. Kabha.
Second change for Maribor is a midfield one. Kabha comes off, with Dino Hotic on.
Minute
Description
73'
Sevilla have taken their foot off the gas in the past ten minutes, allowing Maribor to have more time on the ball though. They can afford such a luxury as it seems their work is done, with Maribor not offering a lot.
71'
M. Kramarič enters the game and replaces D. Bohar.
Maribor make their first change of the match with Damjan Bohar coming off to be replaced by 19-year-old Slovenian U21 international Martin Kramaric.
67'
Jesús Navas enters the game and replaces Nolito.
Sevilla are the first to make a change, replacing one former Manchester City man with another. Nolito is taken off, with Jesus Navas coming on to replace him.
65'
Unlikely to be too much longer until we see changes from both sides, with both managers having a number of decent options at their disposal. Rather concerningly for Maribor, Sevilla have the attacking prowess of Pablo Sarabia, Luis Muriel, Ganso and Jesus Navas to call upon.
63'
A quick flurry of chances for Sevilla! Firstly, Sebastian Corchia has an effort from distance palmed away from goal and Ben Yedder is unable to find space for a shot inside the area a few moments later, as he's hustled by two Maribor defenders. In the end, it was Aleksander Rajcevic who blocked the shot.
62'
Without sounding too cliche, the next goal in this game is crucial. A third for Sevilla ends the tie as a contest, whereas a goal for Maribor could turn the game on it's head and lead to a very intriguing finish.
61'
Ben Yedder should have had a hat-trick! The striker found space inside the area and Vazquez, who provided the assist for the second goal, finds his team-mate. A decent strike at goal is taken but Handanovic gets a foot to the ball. Ben Yedder should have buried that!
58'
Jean-Claude Billong rises to head following a corner, but his effort is off target, and Kabha can't turn the chance goalwards.
Maribor, just like this stage in the first-half, are enjoying a decent period on the ball. Sergio Rico has been woken up by his slumber, although he could still be half asleep as the Slovenians are yet to truly test him, but it is a slight improvement nevertheless from the visitors.
56'
Sergio Escudero gets yellow.
First booking of the night goes the way of Sergio Escudero who pulled back Albanian international Ahmedi.
54'
Right on cue, Sergio Rico makes a save. Maribor full-back Mitja Milar turns well to earn a sight at goal but his low effort towards the near post is easily gathered by the goalkeeper. After almost 55 minutes, the visitors finally have a shot on target.
53'
Whilst Maribor have looked threatening going forward at times, I can't recall Sergio Rico being called into any sort of action.
51'
Sevilla have started the second-half as the finished the first, dominating possession, and a third goal would surely put this game beyond doubt.
46'
We're back underway for the second-half, with Maribor now kicking to the left. No changes for either side at half-time.
42'
Ben Yedder, now on a hat-trick, is fouled out wide by Blaz Vrhovec and it gives the hosts the chance to send the big men forward. That includes Clement Lenglet, who finds Banega's delivery a tad too high and therefore can't get the direction on his header.
38'
W. Ben Yedder has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by F. Vázquez.
Like Correa for the first goal, Franco Vazquez deserves credit for his part in the play as he superbly turned his marker before slotting the ball through. From there, it was an easy finish for Ben Yedder.
It's another goal for Ben Yedder! Sevilla's number nine latches on to a perfectly weighted through ball from Franco Vazquez to slot into the far corner of the, with his shot bouncing off the inside of the post.
34'
Sergio Escudero is starting to get forward now and his ball into the middle finds Nolito, who has the time to control the ball and try to place a shot into the far corner. However, he doesn't get the necessary power behind it and it's another comfortable save for Handanovic.
33'
Correa has come to life in the past few minutes and he's been involved in everything positive for Sevilla. The hosts need to be wary though, as Maribor look threatening on the counter.
30'
Big shouts for a penalty for Sevilla, with Correa again involved, has he poked the ball through for Sebastian Corchia. The French defender went down in the area and on first viewing it looked like a spot kick but the referee gives a corner.
27'
W. Ben Yedder has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by J. Correa.
Sevilla take the lead! Ben Yedder has a tap in, and his second goal in the Champions League this season, but all the credit has to go to Joaquin Correa- who puts the ball on a plate for his team-mate.
Correa's assist has the potential to be one of the best this year. The 23-year-old picked up the ball and charged towards goal, skipping past numerous opponents in the process, before unselfishly tapping the ball across to Ben Yedder. Superb play!
26'
Seven attempts for Sevilla so far this match, with three on target, but we still await the opening goal. For all the possession the hosts have had, they've only really tested Handanovic once.
21'
What a save! Sevilla are banging on the door but Handanovic is proving to be a force to be reckoned with between the sticks. A quick corner was played to Banega, who whipped in a delightful cross to the head of Ben Yedder. The effort seemed destined for the back of the net but Handanovic got a strong enough hand to the attempt.
19'
Franco Vazquez has just fired a volley narrowly over the bar, with the ball setting up nicely for him following an attempted clearance from the Maribor defensive line.
15'
Maribor are enjoying a decent spell of possession with the ball at the moment and Marcos Taveres has just had Sergio Rico stretched across his line as he dragged a shot wide. The away side's number nine already has six goals to his name this season, with four of those coming in the Champions League- including qualifying.
13'
Nolito has the latest chance for Sevilla, dragging a shot wide of goal, after superb play from Ever Banega- who somehow managed to fend off the challenges of numerous Maribor men to retain possession.
11'
It's worth mentioning that Sevilla head coach Eduardo Derizzo is not in the dugout this evening after being sent off at Anfield two weeks ago. His assistant, Ernesto Marcucci, is patrolling the touch-line in his place.
10'
Maribor are certainly capable attacking themselves though and Valon Ahmedi has a charge at goal, which is deflected behind for a corner by Nico Pareja and the set-piece comes to nothing.
9'
Another big chance for the hosts and it again falls to Ben Yedder. Maruwan Kabha played a poor pass towards goalkeeper Handanovic, which the former Toulouse striker almost snatched. However, the keeper does enough to make the save and the ball bounces back off Ben Yedder to go behind for a goal kick.
6'
First big chance of the game falls to Wissam Ben Yedder, who's low shot is gathered up by Jasmin Handaovic. It came around following superb awareness from Nolito, who pounced to take a free-kick out wide quickly and nearly got an assist for his efforts.
5'
The hosts are dominating possession already, which isn't a surprise, and it already seems like we're on the verge of a goal.
4'
Sevilla's line-up this evening is extremely attacking, with Franco Vazquez and Ever Banega both likely to float around in the final third behind the main attacking trio. That leaves Steven N'Zonzi largely on his own in the middle of the park but he's an imposing figure and should manage.
2'
Maribor have the first sight of goal as Aleks Pihler lofts a shot way over the bar of Sergio Rico, not really threatening the goal. However, the hosts gave the ball away sloppily and it shows that their Slovenian opponents aren't just here to make up the numbers.
1'
We're underway in Andalusia! Sevilla get us underway, kicking from right to left.
Penalty for Sevilla! Sebastian Corchia is the man brought down by Aleks Pihler. It's a very clumsy, late hack and the referee has no choice. No surprises who steps up...
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of the Champions League clash between Sevilla and Maribor, as the second round of group stage matches in this year's competition commences.
Sevilla come into this match on the back of their first defeat of the season, having lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid this weekend, and will be looking for victory after a thrilling 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield two weeks ago.
Slovenian champions Maribor, meanwhile, also drew on the opening night as they were held by Spartak Moscow. In their third campaign in the Champions League proper, they'll be hoping to find better form- having not won in Europe's elite competition since September 1999.
Sevilla subs: David Soria, Pizarro, Navas, Sarabia, Ganso, Muriel, Mercado
Maribor subs: Hotic, Bajde, Dervisevic, Mesanovic, Palcic, Obradovic, Kramaric
Sevilla have made a host of changes to the side beaten by Atletico Madrid at the weekend, with only Sergio Rico, Ever Banega, Clement Lenglet, Steven N'Zonzi and Franco Vazquez retaining their spots. The midfield remains the same but it's a completely new-look front line, with Nolito, Wissam Ben Yedder and Joaquin Correa coming in.
Maribor also make sweeping changes, with four in total. Gregor Bajde, Matej Palcic, Martin Kramaric and Jasmin Mesanovic drop to the bench, to be replaced by Martin Milec, Damjan Bohar, Marcos Tavares and Blaz Vrhovec coming into the side.
The light show at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium has just finished, raising the atmosphere. Sevilla will be favourites tonight but Maribor have lost just one of their last 20 games across all competitions.
That's the half! Wissam Ben Yedder will grab the headlines following his brace but the credit has to go to his assisters. Joaquin Correa in particular has looked electric, with the hosts constantly threatening the opposition. Sevilla are halfway there but don't expect them to take their foot off the gas.
Maribor shouldn't be too disheartened though as the two goals they've conceded have come following superb passages of play. They'll need to be more of a threat in the attacking third if they're to find a way back into the match. In truth, that seems extremely unlikely.
Full-time in Andalusia and Wissam Ben Yedder's hat-trick is the difference. Maribor were never really in the game and it's an easy win in the end for the hosts.
Overall it's a very impressive attacking performance from Sevilla, who take control of the group with four points. They've scored five goals in their two matches so far and now head into a double header against Spartak Moscow. A victory at home against the Russian sides would put the serial Europa League winners in a very good position.
For Maribor, it's an unsurprising defeat. Things don't get any easier for the Slovenian champions as they now face back-to-back matches against Liverpool, first on home soil before travelling to Anfield.
