A long throw is launched into the Chile box and towards Kruse once again, but Diaz is there to out-muscle the striker before heading the ball away from danger. That should be that for Chile, who look set to reach the semi-finals.
90' +1
Space opens up for Kruse just outside of the Chile penalty area and allows him to get a shot away, but it's blocked by Paulo Diaz inside the box and fails to test Bravo as a result.
90'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be four minutes of added time.
89'
Rodriguez is left in space over on the left flank and quickly tries to cut into the Australia penalty area, but two black shirts immediately close him down and deny him a way through on goal.
87'
Leckie does well to skip past two players over on the right wing before cutting inside and trying to pick out Kruse on the edge of the Chile penalty area, but a sliced clearance from Mauricio Isla is just about able to deal with the danger, albeit unconvincingly.
85'
With five minutes to go and two goals needed to reach the semi-finals, Australia seem to be struggling to muster up the required energy to break down a solid Chile back line. La Roja are now concentrating on sitting back and defending a scoreline that will see them grab a place in the final four.
83'
Sanchez twists and turns on the edge of the Australia penalty area before finally picking out Vidal. The midfielder then side-foots a bouncing cross straight to Ryan, who quickly tries to kick-start a quick counter-attack for his side.
82'
M. Díaz enters the game and replaces E. Vargas.
Chile have made a late substitution, with Marcelo Diaz coming on to take the place of Vargas.
81'
Ouch! McGowan and Vargas both battle in the air for the ball, but the Australia defender comes off second best and receives a nasty cut on the head as a result. He should be able to continue after receiving medical attention for a few moments.
79'
Australia move the ball around nicely once again as they keep putting pressure on the Chile back line, but Luongo lets himself down with a poor final ball and side-foots a pass out of play for a goal-kick.

Description
77'
Almost an opportunity for Kruse to put Australia back in the lead! MacLaren pokes a lovely pass into the Chile box and towards Kruse. The forward meets it well and then tries to round Bravo, but he's put under good pressure by the goalkeeper and can't get a shot away from a tight angle.
75'
P. Hernández gets yellow.
Hernandez cynically stops an Australia counter-attack with a poorly timed challenge, and he becomes the latest player to receive a yellow card as a result.
74'
Another chance for Rodriguez! Good play by Vidal just outside of the Australia box sets up Rodriguez to test Ryan once again, but he can't hit the target with his wild strike and fires it wide of the near post.
73'
What a miss by MacLaren! Troisi, who has arguably been one of Australia's best players today, swings a cross into the Chile penalty area and towards MacLaren. He's all alone in front of goal but can't make decent contact with the ball with an outstretched leg, resulting in his first-time shot flying wide of the goal.
72'
B. Wright enters the game and replaces T. Sainsbury.
Sainsbury limps off the pitch to be replaced by Bailey Wright in their third and final change.
71'
Sainsbury looks to have picked up an injury after trying to deal with Rodriguez, and it seems as if he's going to have to make way unless he can make a quick recovery.
69'
Huge chance for Vargas to make it 2-1! Sanchez slips into the left-hand side of the Australia penalty area before chipping a delightful cross over to Vargas, who meets it well with his head but can only send his effort bouncing agonisingly wide of the far post.
67'
M. Rodríguez has scored a goal for Chile! Assist by E. Vargas.
Vargas did well to beat his marker in the air before setting up Rodriguez, but Sainsbury, who was far too flat-footed in trying to deal with Rodriguez, really should have done better defensively.
GOAL! Chile have equalised! Mena swings a dangerous cross into the middle of the Australia box, where it easily dealt with well enough by Sainsbury. The ball sails up into the air and over to Vargas, who then knocks it down to Rodriguez to comfortably beat Ryan from close range.
65'
Troisi cuts inside from the right flank and gets himself into a decent position before shooting from 25 yards out, but his thumping effort is slightly too powerful and sails comfortably over the top of the crossbar.
63'
Almost a chance for Kruse! The forward charges into the Chile penalty area as he desperately tries to latch on to a lofted pass, but he's put off at the last moment by Mena and can't reach it with his head.
62'
J. Maclaren enters the game and replaces T. Jurić.
Australia have made another alteration, with Jamie MacLaren coming on to replace Juric up front.
61'
Chile are almost set up with another chance to test Ryan after breaking quickly down the left flank, but this time Sanchez's pass up towards Vargas is well cut out by McGowan before it can find the forward.
59'
Opportunity for Sanchez to equalise! The ball pinballs around the edge of the Australia box after they're unable to deal with a quick Chile counter-attack, and Sanchez is eventually able to get a shot away that's well saved by Ryan in the middle of the goal.
58'
Troisi steps up and curls a dangerous cross into the heart of the Chile penalty area, where five black shirts rise high but aren't able to get the better of Vidal.
57'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
M. Leckie enters the game and replaces T. Cahill.
Cahill receives a rousing round of applause from the travelling fans as he's replaced by Mathew Leckie. That brings an end to his 100th game for Australia, an impressive feat only matched by Mark Schwarzer.
Vidal sticks out a leg and trips Luongo to the ground, resulting in another free-kick for Australia in a promising position and a yellow card for the midfielder.
56'
As was the case towards the end of the first period, Australia have started the second half on the front foot. They look understandably determined to find a second goal and are impressing in and around the final third of the pitch.
54'
Australia win themselves another free-kick, this time out wide on the left wing. It's swung into the box and on to the head of Cahill, who rises high but can't get the better of Bravo with his downward header.
52'
Juric almost makes it 2-0! An Australia free-kick is taken quickly and poked into the path of Juric inside the penalty area. He meets it well and then takes on Bravo, but the goalkeeper deals with the danger well before the linesman's flag is eventually raised.
51'
Chance for Vargas! The forward charges into the right-hand side of the Australia penalty area and latches on to a bouncing pass before shooting, but his strike is well saved by Ryan in the middle of the goal.
50'
Troisi and Cahill link up well in the middle of the pitch before McGowan eventually fires a looping cross into the middle of the Chile box. It's completely overhit, however, and the ball can only find the hands of Bravo.
48'
Luongo embarks on a great run as he skips into the Chile penalty area and wins his side a corner over on the right wing. It's sent short and over to Kruse, who tries to do the same as Luongo but is quickly dispossessed at the near post.
46'
P. Hernández enters the game and replaces C. Aránguiz.
M. Rodríguez enters the game and replaces J. Fuenzalida.
We're underway once again!
Chile have decided to make a double substitution as they try to get back in the game. The first player to come on is Martin Rodriguez, who replaces Fuenzalida.
And the second is Pablo Hernandez, who takes the place of Aranguiz.
45' +2
What a chance for Sainsbury! An Australia cross is fired into the heart of the Chile penalty area, where it pinballs around dangerously. The ball eventually finds its way to Sainsbury, who is somehow all alone in front of goal, but he blasts a close-range volley high and wide of its intended target. He really should have buried that golden opportunity!
45' +1
A. Behich gets yellow.
Behich becomes the fourth Australian player to enter the book for a cynical handball as Chile were trying to break forward quickly.
45'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be two minutes of added time.
44'
What a chance for Chile! The South American side move the ball around beautifully on the edge of the Australia penalty area before a low cross finds Vidal. The midfielder pulls off a header that looks set to find Fuenzalida in front of goal, but McGowan is just about able to blast the ball away from danger at the vital moment.
43'
Australia quickly push forward once again as they try to double their advantage before half-time, but, after initially beating two players, Kruse is unable to skip into the box and has to settle for a throw-in deep down the right flank.
42'
J. Troisi has scored a goal for Australia! Assist by R. Kruse.
GOAL! Australia have taken the lead! Poor play by Chile at the back allows Australia to win possession high up the pitch, and Troisi then quickly lifts a close-range shot past Bravo and into the back of the net. That's just what they need heading into the half-time break!
40'
Almost an opportunity for Juric! Cahill breaks into space down the right wing before trying to pick out Juric on the edge of the penalty area, but his curling pass is fired just in front of the striker, who, despite his best efforts, can't reach it.
39'
Vargas causes a few problems for Australia with a clever run into the right-hand side of the box, but Sainsbury is there to poke the ball behind for a corner. The set-piece is whipped in to a dangerous position, but, once again, it's well defended by the side in black.
37'
Sainsbury nudges Vargas in the back and gives away a free-kick midway inside the Australia half of the pitch. It's Aranguiz who whips the ball into the penalty area, but he can't pick out a team-mate and Chile fail to carve out a chance on goal.
36'
Huge chance for Luongo! Troisi lifts a lovely cross into the Chile penalty area and towards Luongo. The midfielder easily beats his marker before taking on Bravo, but the goalkeeper smothers the first-time effort with a great save at the near post.
35'
After receiving medical treatment for a few moments, Aranguiz is eventually able to get back to his feet and the game gets underway with a Chile free-kick. It's sent short and eventually worked up to Sanchez, who tries to get the better of Kruse but can't beat the forward.
33'
T. Cahill gets yellow.
Ouch! Cahill flies into Aranguiz and catches the midfielder with a high and reckless scissor challenge, leaving the Chile midfielder in serious pain and leaving the referee with no choice but to reach for his yellow card once again.
31'
J. Troisi gets yellow.
Troisi loses the ball out wide as Australia try to break forward and gifts possession to Vidal, who spins round the midfielder before being dragged back by a cynical challenge that earns him a booking.
29'
And now Vargas goes down! Chile quickly win the ball back and curl a bouncing cross into the box, where it finds Vargas. He immediately goes down under tangling with Milligan and again appeals for a penalty, but, once again, the referee waves play on.
27'
The referee has clearly heard something in his ear from the officials upstairs and decides to go to the VAR to review the possible foul on Sanchez, but, after a few moments, he allows play to continue.
26'
Sanchez goes down inside the penalty area, but nothing is given! The forward flies into the box on a great run before taking on Milligan. He loses out to a last-ditch tackle by the defender, however, and then throws his hands up into the air to appeal for a penalty. The referee doesn't seem at all interested and waves play on.
25'
A bouncing cross from Robbie Kruse causes a few problems for the Chile defence, forcing Paulo Diaz into heading the ball behind for a corner. The cross into the penalty area is slightly overhit, however, and Australia have to settle for a throw-in over on the left wing.
23'
Sanchez twists and turns as he easily gets the better of Milligan deep down the left wing. He then pokes a deft pass into the path of Eugenio Mena and sets up the full-back to cross, but his ball into the box is easily cleared by Australia.
21'
M. Luongo gets yellow.
Luongo flies into Vidal and catches the Chile midfielder from behind, resulting in the Queens Park Rangers man receiving the first yellow card of the game.
19'
Tim Cahill charges into Charles Aranguiz and sends the midfielder crashing to the ground with a late challenge, resulting in a free-kick for Chile in a promising position. Vidal decides to shoot from the set-piece, but it flies straight into the body of Trent Sainsbury in the wall.
17'
Chile move the ball around nicely inside the Australia half of the pitch before Vargas is eventually able to get a shot away from 25 yards out, but he's quickly closed down by black shirts and it fails to cause Ryan any problems.
15'
James Troisi spins round his marker well midway inside the Chile half of the pitch and then lifts a side-footed pass into the box. It looks set to reach Tomi Juric in front of goal, but Claudio Bravo is there to cut out the danger.
13'
An attempted Australia attack fails to result in a chance on goal and allows Chile to counter quickly. Vidal charges through the middle of the pitch on a marauding run before picking out Sanchez on the left-hand side of the penalty area, but the Arsenal forward can't do much with the ball and quickly loses out to Mark Milligan.
11'
Another chance for Vargas! Sloppy play by Australia gifts possession to Chile in a dangerous position. Sanchez twists and turns on the edge of the penalty area before poking a clever pass into the path of Vargas, who takes on Ryan but sees his shot saved before the linesman's flag is raised once again.
9'
Ryan McGowan and Aziz Behich link up well deep down the left wing before the latter curls a cross into the Chile box. It's completely overhit, however, and there's no one there to meet it in front of goal.
7'
What a chance for Chile to open the scoring! A swinging cross from Jose Fuenzalida finds Arturo Vidal in a pocket of space in front of goal. He immediately unleashes an excellent volleyed strike that Ryan can only push away to Eduardo Vargas, who is taken by surprise by the flight of the ball and ends up knocking it back into the hands of the Australia goalkeeper before he can shoot.
5'
Alexis Sanchez flies into the right-hand side of the Australia penalty area as he tries to latch on to a lofted pass forward. He's able to do so and then attempts to beat Mathew Ryan with a first-time half-volley, but he's flagged offside as soon as his shot lands on the roof of the net.
3'
Australia enjoy a decent start to the game as they quickly power forward. Massimo Luongo darts through the middle of the pitch before shooting from 25 yards out, but his long-range strike is slightly mishit and sails well wide of the goal.

We're off! Australia get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Confederations Cup group stage game between Chile and Australia at the Otkrytiye Arena.
With four points accumulated so far, Chile head into their final group stage game knowing that a draw would be enough to confirm their place in the semi-finals. In fact, they could lose by one goal and still go through thanks to their superior goal difference, meaning that it’s now or never for Australia, who simply must win big if they’re to reach the final four.
They left it late, but Chile finally managed to see off a committed Cameroon side in their opening Confederations Cup clash thanks to late goals scored by Arturo Vidal and Eduardo Vargas. They then followed up that victory with a well-earned draw against Germany on Thursday, and it now looks as if it’s going to be a straight fight between the two sides to determine who will finish top of Group B.
Whilst the numbers are against them, Australia still have a chance of featuring in the semi-finals if they’re at their best today. A much-needed 1-1 draw against Cameroon in their last outing has kept their hopes alive, but they must win by at least two goals this afternoon if they’re to have any chance of leapfrogging Chile. As a result, this could prove to be a cagey and defensive affair from La Roja’s point of view.
These two sides have only met on two previous occasions, with the most recent meeting taking place at the last World Cup. Chile won 3-1 in a group stage clash on their way to the last 16 of the tournament, whilst the only other meeting - way back in 1974 - saw the two sides draw 0-0 in Germany.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up today…
Australia XI (3-4-2-1): Ryan; Milligan, Sainsbury, Ryan McGowan; Irvine, Luongo, Cahill, Behich; Kruse, Troisi; Juric.
Juan Antonio Pizzi has decided to make five changes to the Chile side that started the draw against Germany, with Claudio Bravo, Paulo Diaz, Eugenio Mena, Jose Fuenzalida and Francisco Silva coming into the starting line-up to replace Johnny Herrera, Gary Medel, Jean Beausejour, Marcelo Diaz and Pablo Hernandez, respectively.
Meanwhile, Australia boss Ange Postecoglou has made six alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with Milos Degenek, Bailey Wright, Mathew Leckie, Aaron Mooy, Alex Gersbach and Tom Rogic making way for Ryan McGowan, Jackson Irvine, Massimo Luongo, Tim Cahill, Aziz Behich and James Troisi.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: CHILE 0-1 AUSTRALIA
So far, so good for Australia, who impressed during a first half in which they did well to frustrate Chile with their high pressing. Troisi's late goal means they need just one more to head into the semi-finals, but La Roja have enjoyed a few decent spells at the other end of the pitch themselves and are likely to increase the intensity of their attacks after the break.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half.
FULL-TIME: CHILE 1-1 AUSTRALIA
Australia were arguably the better of the two sides today, but in the end they didn't quite have enough in the tank to beat a Chile side that stumbled their way into the final four of the competition. Postecoglou's men impressed on the front foot and managed to carve out several decent chances on goal, but, as has often been the case for them in recent months, a lack of firepower cost them dearly.
The draw is enough to see Chile join Portugal, Mexico and Germany in the semi-finals. They'll face Portugal on Wednesday in what is set to be a tough clash for the South American side, who will have to improve on today's performance if they're to beat the European champions.
