We’re into three minutes of added time as Bellarabi fires in a cross towards Bailey who gets his head to it on the edge of the six yard box, but the pace of the cross makes the header hard to control and he can only direct it across the face of goal and out of play.
89'
N. Gaitán gets yellow.
Gaitan becomes the latest player to go into the book for a nasty challenge on Kampl.
88'
C. Aránguiz enters the game and replaces K. Volland.
Another change for Leverkusen as Volland is replaced by Charles Sandoval. This game is edging towards its conclusion at a pretty low intensity now.
85'
Chance!! Atletico waste a huge three-on-one chance on the counter attack as Griezmann breaks forward with Saul and Gaitan to his right, but the latter runs offside and by the time he plays the ball into the feet of Saul, Leverkusen’s defence has recovered well and he hits a tame effort straight at Leno.
83'
This tie might be all but over, but Diego Simeone is still looking pretty animated on the edge of his technical area as his players look to control the closing stages.
81'
A. Mehmedi enters the game and replaces J. Hernández.
Another change for Leverkusen, and perhaps a sign that Tayfun Korkut is conceding this tie is over, as Hernandez is replaced by Admir Mehmedi.
79'
Save!! Another good save from Oblak as Kampl hits a low dipping effort from 25 yards after a short corner routine, but the Atletico keeper gets down well to his right and palms the ball away.
78'
L. Bailey enters the game and replaces J. Brandt.
A first attacking change for Leverkusen now as Leon Bailey comes on to replace Brandt.
77'
Koke links up with Gaitan in midfield and the former picks out Hernandez in space on the left-hand side, but he’s in no rush to get the ball forward and knocks the ball back towards a teammate, signifying that Atletico are quite happy to sit back and count down the minutes now.
75'
Godin kicks the ball straight into the face of Hernandez who looks to be in a bit of pain as a result. Fortunately for the Atletico centre-back he is able to regain possession, but that could’ve gone anywhere, and there have just been one or two sloppy moments from Atletico recently which will frustrate Diego Simeone.
Minute
Description
73'
Bellarabi cuts inside onto his left foot and fires a fierce shot straight at Oblak from the corner of the box but the keeper doesn’t hold it first time and Savic has to clear the danger to prevent Hernandez from getting to the rebound.
71'
S. Savić enters the game and replaces Y. Carrasco.
J. Baumgartlinger gets yellow.
Baumgartlinger becomes the latest player to go into book for bringing down Vrsaljko without any attempt to get the ball.
Another change for Atletico as the ineffectual Carrasco is replaced by Stefan Savic.
68'
WHAT A SAVE!!!!!! Extraordinary triple save from Oblak!!! A mistake from Gimenez gifts Brandt the ball and he’s clean through on goal, but Oblak makes himself big to keep out the initial effort before bouncing back to his feet and keeping out Volland’s effort on the rebound, before getting straight back up to his feet once again and keeping out another low effort from Brandt, before Hernandez fires the fourth chance wide!!
66'
J. Giménez gets yellow.
Gimenez joins Jedvaj in the book, this time for a foul on Hernandez as the striker looked to skip away into space in behind the Atletico defence.
65'
N. Gaitán enters the game and replaces Á. Correa.
Atletico are making their first change of the game now as Correa is replaced by Nicolas Gaitan.
64'
T. Jedvaj gets yellow.
Correa is brought down by Jedvaj and the centre-back is shown the first yellow card of the game.
62'
Kampl goes on a superb run into the Atletico half with several players around him and picks out Bellarabi in space on the right, but the winger takes too long over the cross and Atletico are able to get across in numbers and block the cross. Kampl is involved once again moments later as he lifts the ball into Hernandez inside the penalty box, but Gimenez gets across to make a superb clearance as the striker brings the ball under control.
59'
Bellarabi, having won a free-kick moments earlier, slides the ball into the feet of Volland on the edge of the box, but just as the striker shoots on the turn Vrsaljko gets across to make a superb block on the stretch and prevent Oblak being called into action.
57'
Close!! Another chance for Atletico as Carrasco plays in Griezmann down the right-hand side of the penalty box, and the Frenchman attempts an audacious chip over Leno, but just gets his angles wrong and it drifts narrowly wide of the far post, despite the trajectory being spot on.
55'
Huge chance for Correa!!! Thomas drives towards the Leverkusen penalty box from deep inside his own half before finding Correa inside the right-hand edge of the penalty box, but having cut inside Baumgartlinger onto his left foot, the striker side-foots his effort wide from eight yards out.
54'
Brandt shows lovely feet in the middle of the pitch to skip away from several Atletico players before picking out Volland on the right-hand corner of the box, but his low cross across the face of goal is just ahead of Hernandez at the back post and the ball goes harmlessly out for a goal kick.
52'
Correa plays a lovely low pass in behind the Leverkusen defence for Carrasco to chase, but Leno once again comes to his side’s rescue as he comes quickly off his line to gather the ball in. Leverkusen are sitting extremely deep still though.
50'
Volland brings down Saul with a clumsy challenge close to halfway and Atletico work the ball forward down the right-hand side as they did frequently during the first half, but Vrsaljko just overruns the ball and fouls Baumgartlinger as he looks to win it back.
48'
Kampl spreads the ball wide to Hilbert who looks to have space ahead of him, but he instead rolls the ball back to Jedvaj. Leverkusen haven’t started this half with the intensity you might have expected from a team which still requires three goals.
46'
Kick-off! Atletico get the second half underway.
An early chance for Griezmann as Wendell fails to deal with a long ball forward, but the Frenchman rushes the opportunity from the edge of the box and snatches his shot wide. I don’t think he realised how much time he had there.
44'
Correa goes down just outside the Leverkusen penalty box but the referee waives play on, much to the displeasure of the extremely vocal crowd at the Vicente Calderon.
42'
Atletico are finally starting to dominate this game now as Vrsaljko drives in-field from the right-hand touchline and very nearly pokes the ball through to Correa, but Leverkusen get enough men behind the ball to cut out the danger, before Vrsaljko is penalised for running into Dragovic.
40'
Another super save from Leno!! Correa is the creator this time as he rolls the ball into Koke who hits a fierce, low effort towards the bottom corner from 20 yards out, but the Leverkusen goalkeeper dives low to his right and once again turns the ball narrowly wide of the post with his fingertips.
39'
WHAT A SAVE!! Correa is clean through on goal after a lovely first-time flick into his path by Griezmann, and the striker’s well struck effort looks to be heading for the near corner, but Leno springs to his left and brilliantly turns the ball around the post.
37'
Kampl’s influence is growing on this game, this time he knocks the ball past Koke with ease but blasts a shot high over the bar from 20 yards out.
35'
Lovely one-touch football between Wendell and Brandt down the left-hand side creates half a yard of space for Kampl on the edge of the Atletico penalty box, but the midfielder is on the stretch as it comes to him, and while he manages to poke it into the feet of Hernandez the striker’s pass towards Brandt then bounces off Thomas Partey and Godin is able to clear.
33'
Gimenez plays a loose ball straight out of play for a throw-in, rather summing up Atletico’s performance so far. They really haven’t got going as yet and you sense they’re playing to protect their lead rather than to build on it.
31'
Wendell looks to knock the ball past Vrsaljko down the left-hand touchline but the right-back sticks out a leg and diverts the ball out of play. The pair have certainly had their hands full with each other so far, as both players have looked to get forward.
29'
Lucas Herndandez's weak pass is easily intercepted on halfway by Baumgartlinger and Leverkusen look as though they have a chance to break forwards, but Koke tracks back well and prevents the ball reaching Volland, regaining possession for Atletico in the process.
27'
Wendell swings in a corner from the left and Brandt’s attempted first-time shot from the edge of the box is headed clear by Godin, but only as far as Julian Baumgartlinger who hits an ambitious 25-yard-volley towards goal, but Oblak watches it go safely over his bar.
25'
Yannick Carrasco looks to pick out Griezmann with a deep cross towards the back post, but Dragovic does well to get up above the striker and head the ball clear, before Koke miscues the ball straight out for a goal kick.
23'
Wendell is down receiving treatment following a clash with Vrsaljko as the pair jumped together. It looks as though he just took and elbow to the ribs from the right-back but he’s on his feet and looks as though he’s going to continue.
21'
Chance! Another half-chance for Leverkusen as Wendell gets the better of Vrsaljko on the left-hand edge of the box and the ball breaks to Brandt who picks out Hernandez eight yards out from goal, but he’s just leaning back as he hits a first-time left-footed effort and it goes comfortably over Oblak’s goal.
19'
Leverkusen continue to knock the ball around amongst the back four, without showing any real threat in the final third.
17'
Tayfun Korkut certainly didn’t look too pleased with Brandt following that wasted opportunity. You sense Leverkusen are going to need to be far more clinical than that if they’re to get back into this tie.
15'
Chance!! Atletico break forward quickly on the counter attack and Correa looks almost certain to score from seven yards out, but Leverkusen throw bodies in the way and somehow block the shot before breaking quickly up the other end themselves, where Hernandez slips a lovely pass into the feet of Julien Brandt, but the winger chooses not to shoot on his left foot with the goal gaping, and allows Atletico to clear the danger as he cuts inside onto his right foot.
12'
Atletico certainly look as though they’re going to sit off Leverkusen here and try to hit them on the counter attack, with Correa and Griezmann not putting a huge amount of pressure on the Leverkusen back four when they have possession.
10'
Angel Correa rolls a first-time ball into Griezmann 25-yads out from goal, and the Frenchman tries an audacious back-heel flick back towards his strike partner, but the ball just won’t sit down for him to shoot on the edge of the box and Aleksandar Dragovic is able to stick a foot in and clear the danger.
8'
Sime Vrsaljko gets down the outside of Wendell and looks to be in a good position to put a cross in, but the linesman’s flag goes up for a foul on the Leverkusen left-back, drawing a smile from Vrsaljko.
6'
The Atletico fans are making plenty of noise at the Vicente Calderon but Leverkusen have certainly made the better start to the game. Volland though is penalised for a needless push on Gimenez close to the left-hand touchline having lost the ball to the centre-back.
4'
Close!! Kevin Kampl slips a crisp pass into the feet of Kevin Volland on the edge of the box and he turns Jose Gimenez brilliantly, but he just drags his low, left-footed shot wide of the far post with Jan Oblak sprawling across his goal.
3'
A pretty quiet start to the game from both sides here with neither looking to throw too many men forward at such an early stage. Diego Simeone is already on the edge of his technical area though as Antoine Griezmann breaks forward down the left-hand side, but he doesn’t have much support and Leverkusen win the ball back easily.
1'
Kick-off! Javier Hernandez gets the game underway for Leverkusen.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Champions League last 16 second leg tie between Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen at the Vicente Calderon.
Atletico won the first leg 4-2 at the BayArena, with Saul Niguez, Antoine Griezmann, Kevin Gameiro and Fernando Torres all getting on the scoresheet, meaning Leverkusen will have to score at least three times if they are to progress today.
Atletico though come into the game having lost just once in their last nine games in all competitions, and won all three of their home matches in the Champions League group stages, including a 1-0 win over Bayern Munich.
Leverkusen meanwhile have failed to win any of their last four matches, including the first leg defeat, and won just once away from home in the Champions League group stages, a 1-0 win at Wembley over Tottenham Hotspur.
Subs: Moya, Juanfran, Savic, Cerci, Gaitan, Juan Moreno, Torres
Tayfun Korkut makes just two changes to the Leverkusen side that drew 1-1 with Werder Bremen in their last outing, as Roberto Hilbert and Tin Jedvaj come into the defence in place of Benjamin Henrichs and Omer Toprak.
Prior to the first leg, the last meeting between the two sides was at the same stage of the same competition two years ago, with Atletico progressing on penalties after both sides won their respective home legs 1-0. Only an unlikely 4-2 win on the night for Leverkusen would send the tie to penalties today though.
Referee Sergei Karasev leads the players out onto the pitch, kick-off is not far away now.
Diego Simeone makes five changes to the side that beat Granada last time out, with Jan Oblak, Sime Vrsaljko, Jose Gimenez, Lucas Hernandez and Angel Correa all coming into the side. Miguel Moya, Juanfran, Stefan Savic, Filipe Luis and Nicolas Gaitan are the men who drop out, while Fernando Torres is included on the bench for the first time since suffering a head injury against Deportivo La Coruna.
Half-time: Atletico Madrid 0-0 Bayer Leverkusen
It’s all square at the Vicente Calderon, largely thanks to two outstanding saves from Leverkusen goalkeeper Leno. The visitors have had chances of their own though, with Volland and Brandt in particular wasting good opportunities early on.
Leverkusen will undoubtedly have to throw more bodies forward in the second half, while Atletico, who didn’t really get going until the final minutes of that half, will be perfectly happy as long as the game remains goalless.
Full-time: Atletico Madrid 0-0 Bayer Leverkusen
That's all from us for today, thanks for joining us and we hope you'll be able to join us again soon.
It’s all over at the Vicente Calderon and Atletico are into the quarter-finals of the Champions League once again. It was far from a vintage performance from Diego Simeone’s side but in truth the hard work was all done in the first leg. Leverkusen had several chances to get themselves back into the game, and were only denied a second half goal by an outstanding triple save from Jan Oblak.
