R. Phumichantuk enters the game and replaces S. Chatthong.
90'
J. Irvine gets yellow.
YELLOW CARD AUSTRALIA - Irvine now goes into the box for a late clash on Chatthong which sees the Thai #9 felled high inside the hosts right channel. Australia get off the hook however as quickly taken free kick is seen out of the box by Milligan. Bit of a wasted free kick to be host as Thailand had better options presenting..
Four minutes of added time is confirmed.
88'
Burns is again lively for the Socceroos as he streaks down the right but once again, his intended cross to Kruse is short of the mark and quickly countered by Thailand. Through Dangda it's turned into the middle of the Thai penalty area before Sainsbury gets up early to nod it clear.
86'
SAVED - Ryan saves Australia from going down 3-2 as Chatthong is able to turn sharply in order to roll off the back off Milligan. With the ball under his control and closing quickly inside the right of the box, Chatthong draws out Ryan and releases a low drive which Ryan is quick to smother wide. That was THE moment for Thailand.
83'
CHANCE - Still not done and dusted for either side as Sainsbury's rash challenge sees Chatthong brought down on the left side of the box. With a dangerous free kick taken by Songkrasin, the ball dips and drops unexpectedly before Ryan does enough to spot it late. Thailand charging home with a wet sail in Bangkok.

WOODWORK - Burns has been brilliant since coming off the bench as he receives a tidy through ball from Mooy and blazes down the right. Turning inboard in order to work his way across the top of the box, Burns unloads with a ferocious volley from 22 yards out which lifts late, clips the crossbar and deflects over.

Description
75'
A rare forward chance for Australia as Jedinak lays a nice diagonal pass across field which is picked up nicely by Mooy. With Burns presenting, Mooy duly rewards the striker's run with a low through ball which sees Burns closing to 18 yards before his cut back to Kruse is cut out by Bunmathan.
73'
CHANCE - It's well and truly all the Thai's over the last few minutes as Dangda slots into playmaker and fires towards the byline from the right side of the box. Closing to about 16 yards, Dangda's intended cross is hung dangerously towards the near post before Ryan's able to claim it overhead.
71'
CHANCE - Thailand are starting to tear Australia apart once more with overlapping runs as Do gets himself clear down the right before arriving inside the box. With a diagonal ball finding him 16 yards out, he tries to smugly chip Ryan instead of loading up with power. Had he hit it first time, Ryan may well have been very troubled.
68'
CHANCE - Nice opportunity for Thailand to snare the lead as an ugly and accidental clash of legs sees Degenek bringing down Chatthong 25 metres from home. With Dangda fancying his chances, he lifts his effort over the wall and towards the bottom right corner. Ryan's equal to the task though and scoops it up confidently enough.
65'
Penalty goal scored by M. Jedinak for Australia!
PENALTY GOAL AUSTRALIA; THAILAND 2, AUSTRALIA 2 - AUSTRALIA DRAW LEVEL. And wouldn't you know it, it's via the THIRD penalty of the night as Mooy's free kick from the right drops into the middle of the box. With Chatthong holding back Jedinak, the Australia skipper picks himself up and from the spot, drills the ball under Thamsatchanan and into the bottom left corner.
62'
SAVED - Australia go within centimetres of equalising as the injection of Burns brings much needed pace and direction to the Socceroos. With a corner whipped in from the right from Mooy, it falls perfectly for Jedinak who sees his header from six yards out tipped clear beautifully by Thamsatchanan.

Penalty goal scored by T. Dangda for Thailand!
PENALTY GOAL THAILAND; THAILAND 2, AUSTRALIA 1 - THAILAND IN FRONT! And it's well deserved as Australia continue to be second to the ball and at the moment, are looking second best as Leckie makes an absolute meal of a lunge which brings down Bunmathan. From the spot, a clinical effort from Dangda sends Ryan the wrong way before the ball is pumped into the bottom right corner.
54'
Another factor which needs to be taken into consideration for both sides is the state of this field as it's been torn up badly with each passing minute. The only clean area of grass looks to the halfway line with all other areas covered in massive divots. Not particularly good enough at international level to have a below average surface.
51'
Thailand with the brighter start to this stanza as they look to have become acclimatised to the conditions quicker than Australia. At the moment it's the Socceroos who are actually struggling to get the ball inside their attacking half with Thailand have no such issues. Both Songkrasin and Dangda are looking sharp for the locals.
48'
An early flutter for the Australian defence as Spiranovic clatters into Dangda before the latter makes the most of the 'contact' and falls to ground. With the free kick taken from about 25 metres out, it's Bunmathan who takes the responsibility but he can only belt it into the five-man Socceroos wall.
46'
Underway in the second half..
43'
BLOCKED - An opportunity for the visitors as we approach the break with Dangda doing nicely to trap the ball 20 yards. Turning a ball to the run of Songkrasin, Smith riskily throws himself off his feet but wins the ball cleanly as Thailand looked to break inside the box. If Smith missed that tackle, Australia were in danger.
41'
CHANCE - Another attacking foray for Australia however the linesman again intervenes to save Thailand's blushes as Mooy is allowed what seems like minutes on the ball. Picking his desired outlet and playing in Kruse down the right, Kruse loads up to release a cross to Maclaren but is duly flagged off. Replays show he was level.
38'
CHANCE - Australia's umpteenth opportunity to hit the scoreboard as they continue to find holes between Thailand's defensive lines. On this occasion it's Mooy who threads in a ball to Smith who has three yards free inside the left of the box. Smith's cross however is played too late as Maclaren's run is checked before Rogic retrieves and wins a corner.
35'
Not the best decision from the linesman on this occasion as Australia stroke the ball around with confidence from 25 yards out. With Leckie pulling the trigger on a through ball which releases Kruse, the latter's immediately flagged offside as a free Maclaren waited unopposed nine yards out. Replays show Kruse was well onside.
33'
Another nicely crafted chance for Australia as Leckie and Rogic combine down the left before play's steered back to Mooy. Played centrally 20 yards out, Mooy looks to turn in Kruse but a slip at the last seconds sees Thailand able to nip the ball clear as they counter immediately..
31'
Lovely transition from the hosts as a misplaced pass from Kruse deep inside Australia's attacking half sees the visitors scythed apart. Wtih Dangda firing down the left, a last ditch intervention from Degenek puts the ball out for a corner. Fortunately for the Socceroos, the corner's misdirected and cleared easily by Rogic.
29'
Songkrasin now looks to turn provider as he finds the required time and room down the right channel. With Australia opting to present a flatter and tighter defensive line, Songkrasin's cross is well directed but read beautifully by Ryan who bustles off his line to take it on the chest.
27'
SAVED - Ryan's forced into action for the Socceroos as with the Thai's riding a wave of confidence, Songkrasin takes possession 22 yards out. Creeping across the top of the box to open the angle, Songkrasin unloads on a low drive which bobbles dangerously on the surface before Ryan's able to tip it clear.
24'
CHANCE - Not sure how many more opportunities Australia want to pull themselves clear as Mooy takes possession well in midfield. Releasing a lovely lofted into the area, it's Maclaren who runs onto it before he squares a ball across goal. On this occasion it's Thamsatchanan who races off his line to thwart the danger.
22'
CHANCE - Thailand are being encouraged at both ends now as Kruse releases Leckie with a peach of a ball inside the left channel. With Leckie turning inboard smartly, he provides a great pass for Kruse who'd continued his run before he's hassled off the ball by Bunmathan.
20'
T. Dangda has scored a goal for Thailand!
GOAL THAILAND; THAILAND 1, AUSTRALIA 1- Cavernous defending from the Socceroos and Thailand make them pay dearly as a lovely angled ball finds Do down the right. With Sainsbury and Spiranovic sliding to the deck, the ball sits up for Dangda who needs two bites but prods it home from three yards out. Catastrophic defending from Australia.
17'
CHANCE - This scoreline could really be anything if Thailand don't tighten up their defence as Rogic is able to take possession 40 yards out. With a blazing combination of speed and terrific ball control, he skips past numerous defenders before Kesarat brings him down 20 yards out. Remarkably, no free kick is called as play is waved on.
15'
CHANCE - Opportunities galore for the free flowing Socceroos at the moment as Degenek and Mooy combine to see a ball turned in towards Kruse. Trying to open up the angle from 10 yards and to the right of goal, Kruse's ambitious effort is lifted goalwards but ends up about a metre wide of the far post.
13'
BLOCKED - Australia continue to surge forward and look dangerous everytime they do so as Degenek turns a tidy cross in from the right. With Kruse at his scheming best, he cuts a sharp ball back to Leckie who sees his shot on the turn from seven yards deflected clear by Promrak.
11'
YELLOW CARD THAILAND - For his part in conceding the penalty kick, Chutong cops a yellow card for his effort. Replays suggest that he's lucky to receive yellow as the handball effort was as deliberate as they come and did stop a certain goal-scoring opportunity. Anyhow; yellow suffices.
9'
Penalty goal scored by M. Jedinak for Australia!
PENALTY GOAL AUSTRALIA; THAILAND 0, AUSTRALIA 1 - Australia's early attacking forays pay off as Rogic sets up an attacking move which sees the ball falling to Leckie. From 10 yards, Leckie's initial shot on-target is clearly deflected by Chutong's hand with the referee on the spot to make the decision. From the spot, Jedinak hammers it furiously into the top left corner. Australia 1-0 up.
8'
P. Chutong gets yellow.
7'
Fair bit going on in this one early as Kesarat lunges in off his feet and hauls down Leckie close enough to the byline. Referee Al-Marri thinks twice about the effort before electing that a goal-kick is the correct decision. It isn't as Leckie lets the officials know that it should be a corner. Thailand off the hook for the time being.
5'
Bit of a risky ploy from Ryan who charges outside of his area in order to try and break up a lofted ball forward. With Songkrasin charging towards the loose ball, Ryan lets Sainsbury shadow the ball towards the area before the Socceroos 'keeper calmy releases a pass into the right channel.
2'
CHANCE - Barely two minutes gone and Australia see themselves forward through Rogic who creeps inside the right side of the box. Laying a ball back for Leckie, the latter squeezes off a tame shot which fortunately enough rolls straight to Thamsatchanan. Socceroos signalling their attacking intent early.

Our referee for this World Cup Qualifier is Fahad Al-Marri and with everything set and in its place, we're brought underway in Bangkok. It's Thailand starting in possession and moving from left to right..
Welcome to Rajamangala National Stadium as World Cup Qualification reaches its third round in the AFC with Thailand hosting Australia. Coming off a demoralising 4-0 loss to Iraq in their last WCQ, Thailand will be desperate for points as they seach for their first win. For Australia, they were held at home by Japan 1-1 in their last start and currently sit second in the group. A win this evening would see Australia able to leapfrog Saudi Arabia into first spot, with a loss potentially seeing the Socceroos slipping to fourth, if both Japan and Iraq win their fixtures. Team news will follow shortly.
HALF TIME; THAILAND 1, AUSTRALIA 1 - That's the first 45 minutes done and it's not the scoreline that many were predicting it would be at the interval. With Australia well in command of proceedings and thrusting forward at will, the Socceroos opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a tidy penalty converted by Jedinank. Despite being well on top however, Thailand would break back into the contest when a breakdown in Australia's defence saw Dangda able to poke home from close range. Since then, the Socceroos have regrouped to claim 62% of possession however when it mattered, couldn't convert their multiple late chances. This one is still up for grabs in Bangkok as we arrive at the break at 1-1.
FULL TIME; THAILAND 2, AUSTRALIA 2 - It's all over in Bangkok and Australia's 'Road to Russia' has hit another speedbump as they've been outclassed and outplayed for the majority of the contest. Whilst the final scoreline confirms a draw, Australia's performance this evening was one tinged with misplaced passes, ill-directed forward movement and for the best part, second-string defending. Thailand are to be credited for the way in which they attacked the contest and on another night, the hosts would have prevailed as they played a magnificent brand of counter-football which worried Australia for 94 minutes. On the back of a sub-standard performance, the Socceroos hang on in Bangkok to take a point with this one finishing 2-2.
