T. Müller has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Kimmich.
MULLER SEALS IT! Bayern don't let up and they are finally able to put the game to bed as Muller controls a pass inside the area, steps beyond Riether and fires one in off the far post. Sensational finish from the forward who had been incredibly quiet up to this point!
90' +1
OFF THE POST! Terrific ball through from Vidal despite the poor weather conditions, sending Lewandowski though on goal. The striker has the beating of Fahrmann but sees his effort rattle off the far post before being cleared!
90'
There will be a minimum of two minutes of stoppage time.
89'
INCHES WIDE! A hopeful ball finds its way into the area and Matip makes scrappy contact, but sends an effort looping over the head of Neuer. The crowd collectively holds their breath, but are left disappointed as it bounces just beyond the woodwork!
88'
J. Kimmich enters the game and replaces A. Robben.
87'
F. Reese enters the game and replaces M. Meyer.
Fabian Reese, at just 17 years of age, comes on here to make his Schalke debut. He has been scoring and contributing to goals an an incredible rate with the youth team and he is given a few minutes at the end here to try and do the same. What a story it would be if he's successful!
85'
STAT ATTACK: Pep Guardiola has faced Schalke four times in the league and has only won twice. He failed to beat them 2014/15 (D2), while he is yet to go three Bundesliga games without recording a victory against a particular side. (Opta)
83'
Rafinha enters the game and replaces D. Alaba.
It's a final change for Bayern as Alaba is forced off with an injury after receiving the brunt of a challenge from Hojbjerg, who promptly goes into the referee's book. Rafinha replaces him for the final seven minutes.
82'
P. Højbjerg gets yellow.
81'
Schalke are struggling to win the ball back and frustration is beginning to set in as a result. The foul count is rising, as is the intensity level, and the referee is in danger of letting control slip just a bit here.
Minute
Description
79'
JUST WIDE! Howedes gets the slightest of touches to deny Lewandowki from close range! It's a vital piece of defending, but Bayern are looking increasingly dangerous as they're afforded more and more space in attack.
77'
The hosts are starting to take a few more chances and they have to do so if they are going to find a leveler. They are pressing much higher up the pitch now which has led to a few nervy moments in defence for the visitors - though they have been able to deal with it up until this point.
75'
F. Di Santo enters the game and replaces R. Neustädter.
A second change is made here by Schalke and this is a tactical one, which will take them from a 5-4-1 to more of a 4-3-3. Winger Franco Di Santo has come on for Neustadter, who had been lining up at centre-half.
74'
Bayern are looking very confident as they pass the ball around near the halfway line. Schalke can't equalise if they don't have possession and that seems to be the philosophy of Guardiola's side as we approach the final 15 minutes.
72'
STAT ATTACK: The Lewandowski (14) and Müller (11) partnership has yielded 25 goals from the opening 12 matchdays and has therefore equalled a record: Peter Meyer and Herbert Laumen (both Gladbach) also netted 25 goals combined at this stage of the season some 48 years ago. (Opta)
70'
J. Boateng enters the game and replaces M. Benatia.
E. Choupo-Moting enters the game and replaces K. Huntelaar.
Changes for both sides here, both with very different intentions. Bayern look to shore up their defence with Jerome Boateng on for Benatia, while Schalke are looking for a spark up front as Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting replaces Huntelaar.
69'
Javi Martínez has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by A. Robben.
BAYERN RESTORE THEIR LEAD! Robben produces an exquisite delivery from the right and Martinez is able to ghost in behind his marker, Howedes, before heading past a helpless Fahrmann from six-yards out. It's too easy for Bayern, who had been made to work for every inch up to this point.
68'
Bayern are enjoying the lion's share of possession as they desperately try to negotiate the go-ahead goal. They're growing in stature with each passing minute, but are struggling to break down this stubborn Schalke defence.
66'
Perfectly-timed tackle from Aogo! Robben issues a bit of a warning to the hosts as he gets through on goal with only one defender to beat, but the cover from Aogo is excellent as he runs across from the right to get a vital block in.
65'
Tremendous from Alaba! Sane is played through on the left but still has work to do. He tries to get through on goal with sheer pace alone, but Alaba sprints back marvelously to break up the attack in its infancy.
63'
Bayern win a free kick from a long way out, about 40 yards or so. Alaba stands over it and has eyes for goal, surprisingly, but his end result isn't nearly as much of a shock as it's blocked well before getting through on goal.
61'
K. Huntelaar gets yellow.
Huntelaar becomes the first player to go into the referee's book, earning his first yellow card of the season. His arm was high, but Alonso certainly appeared to make the most of that and the Schalke striker isn't holding back in letting him know it.
60'
STAT ATTACK: Schalke are without a win in six matches across all competitions (D3, L3). They have accrued just four points from their last five top-flight fixtures (W1, D1, L3). (Opta)
58'
Surely the rain is playing a part in the low quality of attacking football we have seen thus far. It continues to come down here and is showing no sign of letting up, making for a messy and wet pitch. These passes are often skidding astray, disrupting the rhythm of these two teams in possession.
56'
Poor in the end! Blistering counter from Schalke results in Sane getting the ball atop the area, but he curls an effort well wide of the far corner. Back the other way come Bayern and Muller's strike from range is sent straight at Fahrmann.
54'
Plenty of possession for Bayern but nothing really to show for it. Their only goal came with the aid of a massive deflection off Goretzka, which was also one of the few times Fahrmann was really tested up to this point. It is a testament to the defensive work of Schalke thus far.
52'
Robben and Lahm linkup well along the right and the wing-back gets into a prominent position, with men waiting in the centre for a cross. Aogo and Neustadter close it down so quick, however, that Lahm is forced to retreat, sending a pass all the way back near the halfway line for Martinez.
50'
STAT ATTACK: The two league meetings between these two sides last season ended in 1-1 draws. Bayern opened the scoring in both of them, before Schalke pulled level to salvage a point.
48'
Matip has been a force in the air for Schalke, which has swayed Bayern from playing crosses in from the flanks. They haven't had much width to their approach as a result and it has plagued their ability to create.
46'
Here we go again!
45' +1
HALF TIME!
45'
CRUCIAL FROM LAHM! Delightful one-two on the right sends Sane through into space and he provides a teasing delivery into the area, but Lahm arrives at the vital moment to head behind. The home crowd are making a ridiculous amount of noise as their team get set to take the ensuing corner.
43'
Schalke are on the front foot now hoping to completely flip the game on its head before the break. They are so lethal on the counter, but in possession they have been far too negative, content on simply retreating all the way back to Fahrmann if need be.
41'
This game has gone through some very distinct phases. There are periods of electrifying end-to-end action which have been a joy to watch, but then there are these spells of Bayern possession when they want to slow the tempo and look to patiently build. We have entered the latter yet again, though Die Roten have been unable to pass their way through on goal.
39'
STAT ATTACK: Thomas Müller is just two goals shy of equalling his Bundesliga personal best return for a season (13, last achieved in 2014/15). The 11 he has already netted this term represents his best pre-winter break tally. He had never previously bagged more than nine before the turn of the year. (Opta)
37'
There's Robben! The Dutchman appears on the left now and surges forward on another one of his great runs, only this time when he cuts into the centre he's on his weaker right foot. He's still able to pick out a pass for Muller, but the striker can't thread his shot through on goal.
35'
Bayern need to get Robben more involved. He doesn't look at all comfortable in a midfield role and he's been forced to drift from side to side in an attempt to get on the ball. Muller has also been very quiet, with Bayern intent on attacking down the left through Costa, which hasn't been working.
33'
There has been little in terms of goal-mouth chances since the equaliser from Meyer. It is all a bit congested at either end. Bayern are sure to get back in numbers as not to be exposed on the counter, while Schalke have more than enough bodies committed to defending tonight
31'
The noise level inside the Veltins Arena is superb, but it reaches new heights every time Sane touches the ball. Schalke's approach is clear, to play balls over the top for the winger and let him work his magic. He is such a special talent and doesn't seem at all intimidated by the occasion despite his age.
29'
STAT ATTACK: Schalke’s last Bundesliga win over Bayern came in December 2010 (2-0). They haven’t won any of the subsequent nine league meetings and have found the net in just four of those clashes. The Munich side have netted 25 times in that time frame. (Opta)
27'
You can sense a bit of frustration amongst the ranks for Bayern. Muller and Robben are especially not pleased with how this first half has progressed. They have seen so little of the ball down the right, unable to test Aogo and Neustadter up to this point, with the flank seeing very little action.
25'
The tempo has slowed again as Bayern get back to dictating possession and firmly parking themselves in the attacking half. Schalke have a spring in their step, however, and have been pressing the ball brilliantly to disrupt Die Roten's rhythm as they pass it around at the back.
23'
Safe hands by Fahrmann! Costa has been relatively quiet up to this point, but he makes a teasing run down the left and has options in the centre. He's unable to pick out a cross of great quality, however, sending a delivery into the waiting arms of the keeper.
21'
The goal has provided Schalke with waves of confidence. There's a fire lit under this match now as the teams go end-to-end exchanging attacks. The hosts have switched into high gear and they are getting forward brilliantly, with Sane looking particularly dangerous every time he gets onto the ball.
19'
STAT ATTACK: Andre Breitenreiter has faced Bayern on two occasions as a manager. His Paderborn side lost twice to the Bavarians in 2014/15, failing to hit the back of the net and conceding 10 times in the process. However, he crowned his first appearance as a player in the division by netting against them for HSV in September 1994 (1-1). (Opta)
17'
M. Meyer has scored a goal for Schalke 04! Assist by L. Sané.
SCHALKE PULL LEVEL IN EMPHATIC FASHION! Sensational work from Sane in the buildup as he beats three defenders en route into the final third before laying it off for Meyer on the left. The winger cuts into the centre with great skill, before confidently curling a strike past Neuer at the far post! It's a terrific effort from the Schalke man, no doubt, but with what we have come to expect from the Bayern keeper you have to wonder if he should be saving that.
15'
Relentless pressure from Bayern! They're throwing everything at goal, but Schalke are managing to get bodies in front of these efforts for now - though that can sometimes backfire as we have already come to see. They are being pinned in their own end with little signs of respite on the horizon.
13'
JUST WIDE! Lewandowski has to get in among the goals today to pull level atop the Bundesliga scorers list with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who netted last night in Dortmund's loss to Hamburg. The Polish striker nearly doubles Bayern's lead with a shot from the top of the area, but he can't place it in at the far corner.
11'
The shot appeared to be heading wide of the near post there from Alaba, but the deflection took it all the way across goal to the far side where it went in - so it is surprising to see the Austrian defender still being credited with the goal. Nonetheless, Schalke's resistance hardly lasted long.
9'
L. Goretzka is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
BAYERN AHEAD INSIDE 10 MINUTES! Schalke don't convincingly clear their lines following a corner and the ball comes to Alaba. He tries his luck from range and it takes a massive deflection off Goretzka, and it seemed to hang in the air for ages before bouncing in past a helpless Fahrmann at the far post.
7'
STAT ATTACK: Bayern’s tally of 34 points from 12 games is a new record. They have also set a new benchmark in terms of goal difference ( 33) at this stage of the season. (Opta)
5'
The five at the back does allow the likes of Riether and Aogo a bit more freedom to venture forward, which will help provide Schalke with some width in attack. They have suffocated Bayern early on and are looking to get on the front foot at every passing chance.
3'
Bayern enjoy a bit more possession through the opening few minutes, but Schalke hardly look troubled in defence. If it wasn't clear before, it is now, the hosts are indeed lining up with a back five. The likes of Goretzka and Hojbjerg aren't parked too far ahead of them either.

Schalke get us underway, kicking right to left!
Hello Bundesliga fans and welcome to Gelsenkirchen! The Veltins Arena is our venue tonight for this tantalising clash, as Schalke look to deal Bayern a first defeat of the season, doing their rivals Dortmund a favour in the process. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
Can anyone stop Bayern? That’s the question we find ourselves asking after the first third of the Bundesliga season, and so far the answer is no. Dortmund slipped up yesterday night in Hamburg which has provided Die Roten with the chance to extend their lead atop the table with victory number 12 from 13. The sky is the limit for Pep Guardiola’s side as they look to convert their early success into silverware at the end of the season.
Schalke have stumbled upon hard times after starting the season so capably. They have dropped out of the bottom four having picked up just one point from their last three league matches. A defeat to bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund will have left a bad taste in their mouth over the international break, but there is arguably no better way for them to move past it and restore confidence at the Veltins Arena than by shocking the league leaders here today.
SUBS: Caicara, Kolasinac, Friedrich, Reese, Choupo-Moting, Di Santo, Gspurning.
Thiago Alcantara faces a bout on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury while away on international duty with Spain, but it is the only new injury concern for Pep Guardiola who makes four changes to his team which dismantled Stuttgart in the match before the international break. The changes have a clearly defensive feel to them as Philipp Lahm, Javi Martinez, Medhi Benatia and Xabi Alonso replace Rafinha, Jerome Boateng, Joshua Kimmich and Kingsley Coman.
Andre Breitenreiter has close to a full squad at his disposal, with the exception of the suspended Johannes Geis. He has made three changes to his starting lineup which lost 3-2 away to rivals Borussia Dortmund. The hosts will lineup with five at the back, as Sascha Riether and Benedikt Howedes come in for Junior Caicara and Sead Kolasinac, with Schalke looking to combat the deadly Bayern attack. The other change comes in midfield as Pierre Hojbjerg faces his parent club, at the expense of Franco Di Santo.
SCHALKE 1-1 BAYERN. An incredibly entertaining first half of football at the Veltins Arena comes to an end with the score knotted up thanks to goals from David Alaba and Max Meyer. It's perfectly poised for the second half!
FULL TIME: SCHALKE 1-3 BAYERN. Pep Guardiola's side widen their lead atop the Bundesliga table as Javi Martinez's second-half goal earns them three points at the Veltins Arena. They were made to work for it, and the scoreline is a bit flattering for Bayern, but in the end the result is a fair reflection of proceedings.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
