No additional time at the Allianz Arena and a Lewandowski masterclass proves the difference between Bayern and Wolfsburg. Guardiola will certaintly be happy with his half time substitutes.
88'
CLOSE! Muller almost makes it six. Wolfsburg lose possession cheaply in midfield and the ball is played towards the feet of Lewandowski. The Polish striker then holds play up well to bring Muller into the attack, but his shot is over Benaglio's crossbar.
86'
It's still just long balls from Wolfsburg. Bendtner, who entered the pitch earlier for Dost, is extremely isolated and is being reduced to chasing hopeful balls towards him.
84'
Wolfsburg are enjoying a spell of possession in their own half, but they don't for a second look as if they are capable of threatening Bayern's goal.
82'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
Vidal earns himself a needless yellow card as he brings down Caligiuri in midfield whilst the Italian was attempting to launch a counter attack for the away side. Unfortunately for the Wolves, the result free kick comes to nothing.
80'
CHANCE! Beautiful movement from Lewandowski allows Muller to loft a delighful chip over the head of Dante towards the Polish striker, but as he strikes towards goal the former Bayern man puts his body on the line to prevent a sixth.
78'
N. Bendtner enters the game and replaces B. Dost.
A. Schürrle enters the game and replaces M. Kruse.
J. Kimmich enters the game and replaces Xabi Alonso.
If there's one place where there is a bit of life it's definitely the left flank for Bayern. Costa and Alaba have forged a wonderful partnership this half as the visitors struggle to contain them.
76'
Unsurprisingly, as a result of the score this game has lost a bit of pace as the last ten minutes approach. Wolfsburg are still trying to attack and in turn reduce the deficit, but it appears long balls to Dost is their best option.
74'
R. Rodríguez gets yellow.
Muller has been energetic as ever today. Both in the first and second half he's put himself about this pitch and he almost created another chance for Bayern but his cross is a tad too high.
72'
Wolfsburg try and launch an attack through Trasch as they play for nothing but dignity now, but it's merely futile as a heavy touch puts the home side back in possession.
Minute
Description
69'
Bayern smell blood here and they're not stopping. Lewandowski has been prevented from having his sixth of the game from Rodriguez as he stops a shot on the line following a cross from Alaba.
67'
Free-kick for Bayern on the edge of the box in a dangerous position. Alaba and Alonso both stand over it, but it's the latter who whips it towards Martinez and then heads onto Gotze but Benaglio matches the German's shot on goal.
65'
The Bayern fans have picked up in this half, as Lewandowski has given them a second wind. A masterclass from the Pole has ended this game as a competiton as Bayern look to control the ball until this game ends.
63'
Well, it's safe to say Guardiola's half time subsitions have had an impact on the game. I don't think Wolfsburg have known what just hit them, to be honest neither do I. This has to be one of the best substitute performances in history.
60'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by M. Götze.
GOAL! Lewandowski has his fifth and leaves a stunned smile on the face of Guardiola as he looks up into the stands. A cross in from Gotze is met wonderfully from the striker as he bicycle kicks it from the edge of the box. Everything he touches turns to goals.
59'
M. Arnold enters the game and replaces Luiz Gustavo.
It's no surprise Hecking is making a change as his side have gone from 1-0 up to 4-1 down in the space of 12 minutes. Arnold joins the play at the expense of Gustavo.
57'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Bayern Munich!
GOAL! This is unbelievable, Lewandowski has done it again. Costa drives up the left wing and leaves Wolfsburg's defenders in his dust, he then cuts the ball back to the penalty spot and the Polish striker has yet another goal.
55'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Bayern Munich!
GOAL! A Lewandowski hat-trick in FOUR minutes. Yes, that's right. The Polish striker gets three bites at the cherry, he hits the post with his first and then gets denied by Benaglio, but his third attempt bags Bayern another goal.
52'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by Douglas Costa.
GOAL! Lewandowski is the super sub! Bayern now in the lead after two in one minute. The Polish striker gets his second of the game as he strikes low and hard to Benaglio's right from outside the box.
51'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Bayern Munich!
GOAL! Lewandowski gets Bayern back on level terms and it's a wonderful goal. A great ball from Boateng forward starts the attack, Lahm plays the ball into Costa whose deft touch finds Muller, Dante tackles the German but it falls to the Pole who turns home.
50'
A wonderful reverse pass from Vidal puts the ball into a very dangerous position as far as Wolfsburg are concerned, but neither Lewandowski or Costa read the play as they were both found offside.
48'
Costa's incredible pace puts Bayern in a great position up the pitch, but a fancy flick from Muller just quite doesn't reach Lewandowski as the home side's move breaks down.
46'
R. Lewandowski enters the game and replaces Thiago Alcântara.
Javi Martínez enters the game and replaces Juan Bernat.
Wolfsburg get the second half underway and Guardiola has made two half time chances, both Thiago and Bernat make way for Lewandowski and Martinez.
45'
A Draxler corner is headed clear with ease to present a good opportunity for Costa to launch a counter attack, however just as he drives into midfield he gives the ball back to the away side cheaply.
43'
Bayern's midfield three of Thiago, Vidal and Alonso are doing very well to dictate possession considering their overrun in midfield numerically. The former of the trio keeps driving foward as Lahm pushes up to fill any potential holes.
42'
D. Caligiuri gets yellow.
41'
Aside from that moment of craziness from Neuer, Bayern look in control here. Wolfsburg haven't had much of the ball at all since going 1-0 to the good, but it must be said the home side haven't done much to trouble Benaglio.
38'
CLOSE! Neuer steams up the pitch to make a clearance, but this time he gets it all wrong and loses the ball on the half way line. Guilavogui attempts an audacious shot from inside his own half, but it hits the post and goes wide of the empty net.
36'
Wolfsburg doing very well off the ball here. It's no secret Bayern are a great team in possession and command a lot of running from their opposition, and currently the away side are doing just that to shut down potential avenues for the Bavarians to exploit.
34'
Great defending by Naldo prevents a fantastic chance for Bayern. A dazzling run from Thiago as he weaves past a number of attempted tackles allow himself to pass to Costa, the winger then crosses into a host of Bayern players looking to turn the ball home, but the Wolves' defender beats them all to it.
31'
SAVE! Costa stings the palms of Benaglio with a venomous volley. A Alonso free-kick is headed away by Guilavogui to the Brazilian on the edge of the box, but the Swiss goalkeeper is able to match the strike and push it out for a corner.
29'
Wolfsburg's goal hasn't quite come against the run of play, but they've not been in command. Bayern now pressing high up in order to get an equaliser, but with the away side only conceding two goals this season it could be difficult.
26'
D. Caligiuri has scored a goal for Wolfsburg! Assist by J. Draxler.
GOAL! Caligiuri has opened the scoring. A beautifully weighted ball from Wolfsburg's most expensive signing, Draxler, allows the Italian time to compose himself and fire past Neuer emphatically.
25'
STAT: Wolfsburg have never won away to Bayern, in 21 attempts they've lost 20 and drawn one.
23'
Wolfsburg are starting to find their feet in this game now, as far as possession is concerned anyway. For the opening 20 minutes it's largely been Bayern on the ball, but at least the visitors are getting the chances to launch attacks now.
21'
Wolfsburg having their longest attack of the game so far as they press in the Bayern half. However, try as the Wolves might, the home side stand firm and eventually poke the ball out of the feet of Caligiuri forcing them to reset.
19'
Chance for the away side! As Vidal chips a ball into the Wolves' box, Trasch clears and starts a counter-attack for Wolfsburg. Caligiuri curls and early cross towards Bayern's penalty spot, but it's just too far for the stretching Draxler.
17'
Muller with the first decent opportunity of the match! A lovely stepover from Gotze in midfield allowed the winger to prod a neat ball into Bayern's top scorer, however his shot is fired wide.
15'
A poor pass from Guilavogui back to Benaglio sees the Swiss goalkeeper scramble to his right to prevent the midfielder scoring an own goal, fortunately for Wolfsburg it launches a spell of possession despite the inital error.
13'
Vidal tries the first shot of the game from range as he strikes from approximately 25 yards out with his left foot. Unfortunately for the hosts, the South American's shot flies high over Benaglio's crossbar.
11'
Off the ball it appears as if Hecking has instructed his side to resemble a 4-4-1-1 to counter the seemingly endless ball retention from the German champions, yet still have enough attacking force to act on a mistake from Bayern.
9'
A poor pass from Naldo is picked up in midfield from the onrushing Lahm who then switches the play out to Costa. The Brazilian winger charges at the Wolfsburg defence as he crosses into the Wolfsburg box, but it's just behind Muller.
7'
It appears Kruse and Draxler's positions are interchangable on the ball as the former moves inside to occupy a similar position to what he player for his last club, Borussia Monchengladbach.
5'
After some neat passing in midfield, Gustavo is judged to have fouled Gotze as the German came inside to the centre of the pitch. The free kick is taken quickly as the game continues the same pattern with Bayern in control.
3'
As you'd expect from the champions of Germany, Bayern are controlling the ball in the early minutes of the game. Both Alaba and Boateng are looking to play the ball out from the back.
1'
Bayern get the game underway after holding a minute's silence, which swiftly turnt into applause, for the late Dettmar Cramer.
Hello and welcome to this eagerly anticipated Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg. These sides finished first and second respectively last season, so we're expecting tonight's match to be a good one! I'm Lucas Swain, and I'll be guiding you through all the action as it happens at the Allianz Arena.
Pep Guardiola will be without Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Mehdi Benatia, Jan Kirchoff and Holger Badstuber to injury, but doesn't have any suspensions to worry about going into this match.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS
Meanwhile, Dieter Hecking's notable losses to injury contain Koen Casteels, Adelino Vieirinha and Robin Knoche. Like Bayern, Wolfsburg also don't have any suspensions to worry about tonight.
After opting to rest a number of players against Darmstadt on the weekend, Pep Guardiola makes four changes to the team that won 3-0. Lahm, Thiago and Alonso make their way into the starting eleven, but Wolfsburg will be more disheartened by the inclusion of top goalscorer Thomas Muller.
After coming off the bench to score two against Hertha Berlin on the weekend, Bas Dost is included in the starting eleven having being less favoured to Bendtner last time out. Luiz Gustavo and Ricardo Rodriguez also will play from the off.
Kick-off is just minutes away! Both teams walk out onto the pitch at the Allianz Arena as Dante returns to Bayern for the first time since leaving the club in the summer.
That's all from the first half. Caligiuri's strike is what seperates the two sides as they head down the tunnel. Guardiola will be seeking more creativity from his team in the second half, whereas Hecking is bound to be happy with a sturdy performance thus far.
What a crazy game! Six goals, five from Lewandowski and one from Caligiuri. Bayern keep their 100% start intact, whilst Wolfsburg's torrid record traveling away at the Bavarians' home continues - 21 losses in 22 now. I've been Lucas Swain, thanks for joining us for this Bundesliga clash.
