Peru try to break from a set piece, but E. Vargas tracks back well to deny a break forward from Farfan. Chile are desperately trying to run down the clock by stroking around meaningless possession.
90' +1
We're into the first of three minutes of stoppage time in Santiago. A Vargas cross from the left is headed clear with ease by Chile. Vidal is picked out at the back post moments later, but a driven effort from him from a tight angle is deflected wide by Gallese.
90'
Mena and Aranguiz combine fantastically down the left, with the former gallopping into the penalty area as a result, but Gallese is very quick off his line to make a good save.
88'
Ascues tries to find Guerrero with another long ball forward, but he asks too much of his teammate and Chile come away with possession. Only a few minutes stand between the hosts and the final, with their supporters making plenty of noise despite their nerves.
86'
F. Gutiérrez enters the game and replaces J. Valdivia.
A Peruvian free kick is whipped into the box by Yotun, but it bobbles off the turf and wide after unconvincing contact from C. Pizarro. Gutierrez now replaces Valdivia, with Sampaoli looking to fresh up his midfield for the remaining five minutes.
84'
Ascues sends Guerrero on his way down the left-hand side, with the Flamengo striker bullying Rojas out of the way. The striker goes down after feeling contact on his calf, claiming a penalty, but the referee waves it away and Medel cleans up the scraps.
82'
We're into the final 10 minutes in the Chilean capital, with the hosts continuing to stream forward in search of another goal. Alexis clips a ball through for E. Vargas to chase, but the goalscorer is caught stepping a yard or two offside by the linesman. Good decision.
80'
Just over from Vidal! The Chilean midfielder has a snapshot from just inside the box, with the former Colo Colo man sending a wicked left-footed half volley spiralling over the angle of post and bar. Gallese was struggling there, that wasn't far away!
78'
Chile break away down the right-hand side, with E. Vargas doing some more good running. The hosts are unable to create a chance, with Alexis picked out on the left but not afforded room to shoot. Moments later, he is fed into the box, but shoots high and wide from a tight angle.
76'
Alexis sprints to the byline, before the Arsenal forward fails to whip in a cross and concedes a goal kick. Gareca is off his seat and urging his side forward, but only a quarter of an hour remains for an equaliser. Despite their precarious position, Chile are still pushing forward for a third.

Description
74'
Another save for Bravo! Farfan whips in a cross from the right-hand side, but C. Pizarro can only guide a header within the goalkeeper's grasp. Gareca's men are certainly starting to run out of time in Santiago. Alexis and Mena combine well down the left, but the latter is penalised for a push on his marker.
73'
C. Pizarro enters the game and replaces A. Carrillo.
Y. Yotún enters the game and replaces C. Lobatón.
72'
Vidal picks out E. Vargas with a back post cross, but the Chilean forward can only guide an awful header miles over the crossbar. Not that it matters for now, mind you, with the goalscorer helping his team out hugely tonight. He's now only five goals behind Alexis in La Roja's goalscoring charts.
70'
Aranguiz is slid in behind the back four, with Gallese coming out to meet him! The goalkeeper stands his man up well, forcing the Chilean midfielder back away from danger. We're getting down to the business end of proceedings now. Carrillo sends a looping header towards goal, but Bravo claims.
68'
This game is still end to end, with Peru not willing to give up quite yet. Chile look nervous and jittery at the back, but attack seems to be their best attempt at defending at the moment. A third goal would really kill of Los Incas' belief, but the hosts look in the mood.
66'
Peru will have to rally again! In real time, that looked to be an absolute screamer from E. Vargas, but a deflection may have been the most important part of it all, in order to give the ball the dip required to stay on target. Narrowly over 20 minutes remain for Chile to see out.
64'
E. Vargas has scored a goal for Chile! Assist by G. Medel.
GOOOOOOOOOOAL! EDUARDO VARGAS HAS SCORED A SCREAMER! MY WORD! CHILE ARE BACK AHEAD! It's two for the night for Vargas, who has absolutely thwacked that one home. He shoots from 30 yards out, with a dipping shot beating Gallese! It took a deflection, but there can be no mistake that the atmosphere has cranked up a notch.
62'
Well, that goal has shaken Chilean belief somewhat! The home fans have gone a little bit quiet, but there is still half an hour on the clock to turn things around. The 10 men of Peru have fought back in the second half, but La Roja still boast the numerical advantage when trying to make something happen.
60'
G. Medel is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! MEDEL! HE STABS HOME AN EQUALISER! Peru break down the right-hand side, before a cross is poked beyond Bravo! It's an own goal, with the Inter midfielder having to try and make a clearance to deny Carrillo!
58'
Medel picks out Alexis with a diagonal ball, but the Chilean forward puts enough pressure on Advincula to give away a free kick. Any decision against La Roja in any way, shape or form, it's met too agreeably by the fans in this national stadium, it must be said.
56'
Peru aren't to be counted out just yet, with their odd forays forward still causing problems. Chile are just finding it much easier in midfield at the moment, with one free man after able to rotate out into space. Valdivia sees a shot well caught by Gallese.
54'
Close for Farfan! Advincula floats in a good cross from the right-hand side, but his teammate can only guide a header too close to the goalkeeper! That should have been the equaliser and the Schalke man can't believe he hasn't scored!
53'
Advincula bombs down the right-hand side, before combining with Farfan, but Peru are just unable to create anything meaningful. The home fans are whistling every second that Los Incas spend in possession of the ball.
51'
Isla is released down the right-hand side, before picking out Alexis, but the Arsenal forward is then mobbed by white shirts and loses possession. Valdivia tries to sweep play out to the right-hand side moments later, but the wide man is caught two yards offside. Plenty of decisions for the officials to make tonight, that's for sure.
49'
E. Vargas is denied by the offside flag! The goalscorer is picked out by a clipped ball by Isla, before guiding an acrobatic volley into the far corner! It's a wonderful finish and Carrillo was playing his man onside by a good couple of yards.
47'
Sampaoli makes one change at the break, with the disappointing Albornoz replaced by Mena at left-back. That definitely isn't a negative change, though, with the latter able to maraud forward with the best of them. Farfan races into the opposition box, but his touch then escapes him.
46'
E. Mena enters the game and replaces M. Albornoz.
D. Pizarro enters the game and replaces M. Díaz.
We are back underway in Santiago! The hosts have the lead they need to head straight into the Copa America final, but it won't be easy! 45 minutes stand between them and a shot at glory.
45'
There are definite suspicions over whether than E. Vargas goal should stand due to an offside infringement, but Chile are ahead regardless. There is one minute of stoppage time in Santiago.
44'
Vidal blasts over! The Juventus midfielder races down the right, before blazing a shot over the crossbar. Chile have their lead and their fans are jubilant, with Peru needing to go back to the drawing board at half time, now that they have nothing to defend.
42'
E. Vargas has scored a goal for Chile!
GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! VARGAS OPENS THE SCORING FOR CHILE! Time seemed to stand still! A clipped ball from Alexis in from the left-hand side avoids Aranguiz, before striking the back post. The rebound is collected by E. Vargas, but neither Ascues nor Ramos can prevent the striker from bundling home a close-range finish.
40'
Only five minutes remain before the interval, with La Roja desperately hoping for a breakthrough goal. The longer that Peru can hold out, the more nervy things will get. This game, you must remember, can only go to penalties. There's no extra-time period, no matter what happens.
38'
Eduardo Vargas is nearly picked out inside the box for Chile, but Gallese claims. Guerrero is then set away, before he sets back an unselfish cross to Farfan. The Schalke forward is denied by a neat save from Bravo, with Peru looking incredibly close to an opener for a moment there.
36'
Guerrero is subject to a long ball forward, but Bravo gets there first. Gareca has been forced into playing a standard two banks of four after Zambrano's red, but Los Incas' pacey options are still causing a few problems. All it takes is an opener from Peru and we could have an incredibly interesting game on our hands.
34'
Sampaoli's men have enjoyed far more possession since Zambrano's red card, with Chile then pushing on brilliantly. Isla is fed down the right-hand side, before a cheeky back heel to the back post sets up Eduardo Vargas! The former Gremio man thumps a shot goalwards, but Advincula makes a terrific goal-line block!
32'
Aranguiz is nearly found making an intelligent back-post run, but Advincula slides in well to deny the Chile man. The resulting corner is whipped in, but Vidal is penalised by the referee for a push on Ramos. Less than 15 minutes separate us from the interval.
30'
J. Vargas does well to cover across from left-back to deny a scampering run from Eduardo Vargas, before Peru break and win themselves a free kick. Farfan clips a delivery forward, but it is far too heavy and Bravo is easily able to claim.
28'
Chile are starting to press on as a result of their numerical advantage. Valdivia is found in a pocket of space on the edge of the box, before sending a curling right-footed effort just beyond the far post! That wasn't too far away, despite the heavy pressure he found himself under.
27'
C. Ramos enters the game and replaces C. Cueva.
26'
Half chance for Valdivia! Aranguiz clips a free-kick delivery into the box, which Gallese punches half clear. El Mago tries to lift a clipped finish into the net as a result, but he gets his angles wrong. Gareca opts to make a change, with Ramos on the sidelines ready to go.
24'
Peru have over an hour to hang on with ten men, with Gareca reshuffling as a result. One thing that remains in Los Incas' favour, is that they're a counter-attacking side. If Chile try to take the game to them, they'll still be able to take advantage of a few opportunities on the break.
22'
After a couple of minutes of arguing on the field, Zambrano takes a long walk off the pitch and down the tunnel. The referee has sent him off for something that looked to be totally innocuous. Well, maybe it had something to do with the Chilean fans baying for blood.
20'
C. Zambrano goes off after a red card!
RED CARD FOR PERU! Aranguiz goes down and Zambrano is dismissed by the referee! The former Universidad de Chile midfielder is down in a heap, but it appeared to be totally accidental from the Peru defender! His follow through after a clearance appearing to simply catch Aranguiz.
19'
Vidal manages to scramble away the resulting corner, with Bravo not wanting to come out and claim whatsoever. Peru are arguably on top in terms of looking dangerous, with Los Incas definitely more than capable of leaving a huge dent in Chile's Copa America title hopes this evening.
17'
Medel tries to lift a pass forward for Vargas, but Gallese is again alert and can claim. Guerrero is picked out by the goalkeeper, bursting past two players, before teeing up Lobaton. The midfielder takes aim, but a deflection off Rojas sends the ball curling into the side netting.
15'
Peru win themselves another corner, this time from Albornoz, with Los Incas continuing to threaten on the break. Guerrero has been setting his teammates away in lovely fashion. Gareca's men just might be able to take advantage of their height, given that Chile's defenders are certainly not the biggest at this tournament.
13'
Guerrero and Farfan combine brilliantly on the break, but Medel gets across to slide in and deny the latter as he was considering a shot. Peru are showing what they can do on the counter, with this contest proving to be incredibly and slightly worryingly open in the first quarter of an hour.
11'
Chile win themselves a free kick, which Aranguiz stands over menacingly. Vidal is picked out at the back post, but the former Colo Colo midfielder can only steer a looping header way wide of the target. Gallese is more than happy to watch the ball sail out of play.
9'
FARFAN HITS THE POST! Guerrero scampers out to the left-hand side, with the Schalke forward managing to wriggle away from Rojas. The delivery from his teammate is good, but his delicate header bounces off the turf and onto the foot of the left-hand post! Unlucky!
7'
C. Zambrano gets yellow.
Valdivia tries to clip another long ball forward, but it skids off the surface and through to Gallese. Sampaoli will be pleased with his side's high-tempo approach, but it is yet to really convert itself into chances for La Roja.
5'
Chile have done all of the early pressing, but it does defy belief that Vidal hasn't gone in the referee's book already. After his tussle with the Juve midfielder, the Peru defender is then booked for a second offence. He is incredulous, but the official appeared to warn him previously.
3'
Chance for Vargas! He is immediately released by Valdivia, before racing into the box! Ascues matches his man stride for stride, however, before making a timely block to concede an early corner. Vidal then tussles with Zambrano while trying to keep the ball in play on the far side, before pushing the Peru defender in the face. The referee is quickly over but doesn't brandish a card.
2'
Albornoz gets the crowd going, with a neat piece of skill, before Guerrero replies with a flick of his own. Isla then attempts to break down the right-hand side, but is halted correctly by the linesman for an offside decision.

We are underway in the first half in Santiago! After a rousing rendition of the host nation's anthem, it's time for action! La Roja are in their customary red, blue and white, while Peru are in a changed strip with a white shirt.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the first of the two Copa America semi finals! Host nation Chile have been progressing well throughout the tournament, while Peru have gradually clicked into gear under the modest management of Ricardo Gareca. A place in the final awaits the victors tonight, with only 90 minutes of open play guaranteed. If the two teams are level at full time, it goes straight to penalties without an extra-time period.
I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from Santiago, as Jorge Sampaoli looks to give the people what they want. Chile expects a title, despite having never triumphed in the Copa America, and this year is certainly the best shot they've had at breaking their curse in recent competitions. Peru, however, aren't to be underestimated. Los Incas are dangerous on the break.
TEAM NEWS: Miiko Albornoz and Jose Manuel Rojas come into the back four for Chile, with Gonzalo Jara suspended and Eugenio Mena left on the bench. Charles Aranguiz, Marcelo Diaz and Arturo Vidal continue to make up a frightening midfield trio, with El Mago, Jorge Valdivia, in the hole. Eduardo Vargas and Alexis Sanchez are tasked with leading the line for La Roja.
TEAM NEWS: Andre Carrillo gets a start for Los Incas, with the Sporting forward and Jefferson Farfan being deployed on the wings. Cristian Cueva should get a freer central role as a result, with recent hat-trick hero Paolo Guerrero leading the line alone. Peru's back four is unchanged, though Lobaton and Ballon are once again available after suspension and slot straight back into central midfield at the expense of Yotun and Retamoso.
Both teams have come out onto the field and the home fans are making plenty of noise! They want to see Sampaoli's men head into the final tonight and are immediately urging their players forward. This national anthem will be special!
HALF TIME! The hosts head in with a 1-0 lead at the interval, with E. Vargas grabbing the all-important goal. Peru are down to 10 men, after a controversial challenge and decision from Zambrano and the referee, meaning that Los Incas have it all to do in the second half. Be sure to go nowhere and stay with us for all of the action!
FULL TIME! CHILE ARE IN THE COPA AMERICA FINAL! It was a narrow 2-1 win, with E. Vargas grabbing both goals for the host nation! Medel netted an own goal to make things interesting late on, but the fact that Peru were down to 10 men from early on aided a strong performance from La Roja. That's all that we have time for from Santiago, I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again.
