Blocked, then over! A desperation ball is played into the area, and chested down into the path of James, who sees his effort blocked. The follow up is played into the box again but lifted over by Ibarbo, who was under a lot of pressure. And that will do it!
90' +2
J. Farfán gets yellow.
Farfan picks up a yellow card, but it's a good one to take as he slides in to stop the run of Cuadrado that was developing into something promising for Colombia.
90' +1
RIGHT AT GALLESE! Great through ball from Sanchez to pick out Martinez in the area, but the striker's half-volley is sent straight into the goalkeeper's arms from an acute angle. Was that the chance?
90'
Y. Yotún enters the game and replaces C. Cueva.
Here comes a bit of time wasting. Cueva is withdrawn after an exceptional performance and he picks up a loud applause from fans and teammates alike. Yotun is the one to replace him, just as the board goes up to indicate four minutes of added time.
88'
Peru waste more valuable time in attack as they work the ball around well. Some tidy passing prevents Colombia from winning it back, and Cueva finds himself in acres of space on the left, but Ballon fails to pick him out with a ball played over the top.
86'
Decent delivery! Ibarbo plays a short cross in towards the far post for Martinez, but he can't escape his marker as Advincula heads it behind. This Peru defence is communicating so well, offering absolutely no way through for the Colombians. The ensuing corner is dealt with and yet another threat is averted.
84'
Clever from Guerrero! He takes advantage of a slip atop the area to get on the end of a free kick on the left flank. A clever bit of skill allows him to beat Cuadrado and play a nifty no-look pass into the area, but it's just ahead of Cueva.
82'
STAT ATTACK: Colombia have just one victory in their last nine meetings with Peru at the Copa America (D4, L4), while keeping just one clean sheet over that span.
81'
P. Hurtado enters the game and replaces J. Sánchez.
80'
Such a bitter disappointment! The ensuing set piece presents a great opportunity for Colombia, but Cuadrado drives a shot straight into the wall. He gets a second chance, but volleys an effort this time miles over the bar.

Description
79'
C. Lobatón gets yellow.
FRACTIONS AWAY FROM A PENALTY! Delightful skill from James! He runs at defenders, taking matters into his own hands, inviting the challenge from Lobaton and the midfielder bites, sliding in to take him to ground just inches - and I mean INCHES - outside the penalty area.
77'
James is trying his best to provide some sort of service to Gutierrez and Martinez, but it's not good enough. A surprising lack of numbers going forward has allowed the Peru defenders to smother the strikers in attack, affording them little time and space to try and make something happen.
75'
More great work from Farfan and you can sense the nerves setting in on the Colombia touchline. The Schalke attacker sprints down the left, fending off two defenders before winning his side a throw. Los Cafeteros are struggling to even break out of their own end at the moment!
73'
Peru aren't as much weathering the storm as they are preventing one altogether. They work the ball around patiently in attack, refusing to give Colombia as much as a sniff of the ball. Advincula latches onto a pass and tries his luck from a long way out, but his effort sails wide of the far post.
71'
Inching into the final 20 minutes now, and as things stand, Peru would be through to the knockout stage. It simply hasn't been good enough from Colombia and they're in jeopardy of seeing their tournament end early if they don't find a late goal here.
69'
DOUBLE SAVE! Where has that been all night from Colombia?! Gutierrez sprints forward and sends James through on the left. The Real Madrid man sees his shot stopped, but Peru fail to clear their lines. Jackson Martinez gets onto the rebound, but his effort is turned behind as well by Gallese!
67'
STAT ATTACK: In 14 all-time meetings between the two teams in the Copa America, Colombia have only won twice (D5, L7). Perhaps not coincidentally, they were the host nation on both those occasions.
66'
J. Martínez enters the game and replaces R. Falcao.
65'
Carlos Sanchez picks up a yellow card for a challenge in midfield, awarding Peru yet another free kick. Meanwhile, it's a disappointing end to the match for Falcao as the striker is set to be replaced here it seems by soon to be ex-Porto man Jackson Martinez.
64'
C. Sánchez gets yellow.
63'
Peru have to be applauded for their approach in this second half. A draw is good enough for them, but they're not sitting back and inviting pressure. They have done an excellent job moving the ball up the pitch and generating a few chances, while pressing high when Colombia are in possession.
61'
It's just not happening at the moment for Colombia in attack. I never thought I would be saying that given how well they started the match, but Falcao and Gutierrez have been starved of service up top. They need someone to take control and make something happen.
59'
Farfan makes an immediate impact, using his pace to win a free kick along the left. He can't produce much with the ensuing delivery, however, as it's sent straight into the waiting arms of Ospina.
57'
V. Ibarbo enters the game and replaces P. Armero.
Pekerman responds with a change of his own. Victor Ibarbo, another man with plenty of pace, comes on to replace Armero. He will likely take up a spot on the wing and provide some much-needed width and service from the flanks.
56'
J. Farfán enters the game and replaces C. Pizarro.
And on comes Farfan! Pizarro hands the captain's armband to Lobaton and the Schalke man gets set to replace him. Farfan will offer some excellent pace on the counter and his goalscoring record speaks for itself.
54'
STAT ATTACK: Peru have reached the quarter-finals at six consecutive Copa America tournaments. They reached the semi-finals just twice over that span, however, never making it to the final.
52'
FINE SAVE! Tremendous build-up play and it's Peru who are asking the questions early on in this second half. Another poor giveaway in midfield allows Cueva to break. He strides forward and picks out a great pass for Sanchez, but his first-time effort is palmed aside by Ospina!
50'
Dreadful defending! Colombia lose the ball in midfield and Joel Sanchez is allowed to pick it up and stroll forward without any threat. He arrives at the top of the area but his final effort leaves plenty to be desired as he bounces a shot wide of the near post.
48'
Well Colombia need a goal. They wouldn't be eliminated with a draw, but they would require help from the evening match between Brazil and Venezuela. Peru have made it very difficult on them to find a way through, but this isn't a time for excuses - they need to attack and fast.
46'
Here we go again!
45' +2
The stretcher comes out yet again here as the first half stoppage time winds down. This time it's a hard coming together that has Vargas down and in need of attendance after Cuadrado slid in hard to take him out. There was nothing wrong with the challenge, but it's a nasty collision that's resulted in yet another injury.
45'
Peru are springing to life before the break! Carlos Sanchez offers some vital defensive support, however, as he slides in to knock a ball behind for a corner and end what was a very encouraging move.
43'
Good effort! Back the other way come Peru and Pizarro matches James with a lovely through ball of his own to send Guerrero through. The striker takes on Zapata and is able to create space for a shot, but he drags his effort wide of the far post. Encouraging stuff, however, from Peru.
41'
JUST OFFSIDE! Look at that vision, though, from James to pick out the run of Falcao and deliver an equally impressive ball. The striker just mistimed his run, however, as the linesman catches him fractions offside.
39'
STAT ATTACK: Colombia have played seven consecutive matches at the Copa America without both teams scoring a goal. They kept five clean sheets over that span, while being held scoreless three times.
37'
These players are dropping like flies! It's hardly what you want to see, but this is happening every few minutes it seems. Zambrano is the latest to go to ground after a minor coming together with Falcao inside the area. He appears to be suffering from nothing more than a cramp, though, as he stretches his calf and jumps up much to the relief of Peruvians everywhere.
35'
Superb tackle! Zambrano very busy on this latest foray by Colombia. He's unable to stop the link-up between Armero and Gutierrez atop the area, but he sticks with it and recovers brilliantly to block the final cross behind for a corner.
33'
J. Ballón gets yellow.
James does so well with his first few touches, every time the ball arrives at his feet. His latest contribution sees him turn a defender and draw Ballon into a foul - which will earn the Peru midfielder a yellow card.
31'
Peru are doing a much better job of preventing Colombia from attacking as they please. That being said, they've offered little threat going forward and that has to change. Guerrero is working hard, drifting deep to get in possession, but Pizarro has seen hardly any of the ball as we surpass the half-hour mark.
29'
Colombia are applying some incredible pressure off the ball. They get so high up the pitch with Peru in possession, smothering them in their own half and making it very difficult to break out of their end. It's an absolute clinic they're putting on here off the ball.
27'
STAT ATTACK: Goals from Carlos Lobaton and Juan Manuel Vargas secured an extra time victory for Peru over Colombia the last time there two sides met at the Copa America – in the 2011 quarter-finals.
25'
Now Ospina is down, but he's making a mockery of this. He takes a stray hand from Guerrero in the midriff, but the contact was minimal at best as the goalkeeper goes to ground looking to get the Peru striker in the book. He won't succeed in doing so, however.
24'
A. Mejía enters the game and replaces E. Valencia.
This doesn't look good at all for Valencia. His match is over, but at this point his long-term health for the knockout stage, should Colombia advance, may be in serious doubt. He's still writhing in pain as he's carried off the pitch. Alexander Mejia is the one to replace him, and with that, play can resume.
22'
OUCH! Edwin Valencia falls very awkwardly as he chases down a bouncing ball. He seemed to twist his knee and the midfielder is in a ton of pain as the medical staff comes out to attend to him. It really doesn't look good as the stretcher comes onto the pitch with the trainers signalling to the sidelines for a substitution.
20'
Peru do appear to have settled in a bit, and they're showing some good attacking intent of their own as they win back possession. Advincula has been very active getting forward on the overlap, linking up well with Joel Sanchez, but service for Pizarro and Guerrero has been non-existent thus far.
18'
The corner count is rising fast here for Colombia. Another good ball played over the top forces Advincula to head behind, but the ensuing delivery from James is deep towards the back post and Peru again deal with it smartly to clear their lines.
16'
NASTY CHALLENGE! The intent wasn't there, hence the reason there's no foul given, but Lobaton lunges into a 50-50 ball and gets his studs up into the ankle of Cuadrado who is down and in need of attention. He should be fine to continue, but that was certainly a painful coming together for the Chelsea man.
14'
Los Cafeteros have to find a way to make this quick start count. They've mustered attack after attack, but they haven't done enough to test Gallese with the exception of Falcao's effort off the corner. Peru should settle in eventually, but an early goal would make it that much more difficult for Los Incas.
12'
STAT ATTACK: Colombia have advanced past the group stage in eight of the last nine Copa Americas. Their only failure to do so came back in 2007. They have one title success and two third-place finishes over that span.
10'
Absolutely electric start from Colombia! They're pushing forward with wonderful pace and Peru don't seem to have an answer. Defensively, they've held them out thus far, but they need to find a way to hold the ball for longer periods to help relieve the pressure on their goal.
8'
C. Zapata gets yellow.
Brilliant counter-attacking football from Colombia! The build-up is exceptional and it sends the ball into the path of Armero on the left, but his shot crashes into the side netting. Peru look to mount a counter of their own and Zapata commits a silly foul which will earn him an early yellow card.
6'
Frustration seems to be setting in early for Peru as they're pinned in their own end. Zambrano gets into a tussle with Falcao, before raising an elbow and catching the striker as he goes to ground. No foul given, but there is a stoppage - as is the case with any potential head injury.
4'
SUPERB SAVE! James sends an inviting delivery into the area but it's defended well and headed behind for a corner. The ensuing set piece falls kindly for Falcao who turns, fires and forces a really smart stop from Gallese.
3'
Cuadrado does well to take on a defender and lay the ball off for James, who shows some excellent skill to turn his marker and then win a free kick in a very dangerous position as Advincula concedes a foul.
1'
And we're off! Colombia in yellow, Peru in white and red.
Good afternoon and welcome to our coverage of the Copa America, on this final day of the group phase – and Group C couldn’t be better poised for a thrilling conclusion! The lovely Estadio Municipal German Becker in Temuco is our venue today as Colombia and Peru look to secure their place in the knockout stage. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
A draw could send both teams through to the knockout stage, in all likelihood – although it’s not entirely as simple as that. A tie, coupled with a win for either side in the later game would do it for Colombia. If both games end square, then all four teams would wind up tied and it would come down to goal differential, meaning the higher scoring the draw, the better it is for the teams and spectators alike.
One thing that is for sure, is Peru would guarantee a finish above Colombia with a draw, as a result of goals scored. That would also be enough to clinch their spot in the quarter-finals. The permutations are simply endless, but with the final match between Brazil and Venezuela not scheduled to commence until after the conclusion of our game, these sides will have to wait a couple of hours to know who they will be playing in the next round – that is should they advance.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
COLOMBIA (4-2-2-2): Ospina; Arias, Murillo, Zapata, Armero; C. Sanchez, Valencia; Cuadrado, J. Rodriguez; Falcao, Gutierrez.
PERU (4-4-1-1): Gallese; Advincula, Zambrano, Ascues, Vargas; J. Sanchez, Lobaton, Ballon, Cueva; Pizarro; Guerrero.
COLOMBIA SUBS: C. Zuniga, Franco, C. Vargas, Andrade, Valdes, Mejia, Ibarbo, Muriel, J. Martinez, Bonilla, Cardona.
Just the one change for Colombia, as Juan Zuniga, fresh off yet another altercation with Brazil's Neymar, is replaced at right-back by PSV's Santiago Arias. Everything else remains the same for Jose Pekerman's men as they stick with the vast majority of the starting XI who earned an impressive bounce-back victory over Brazil midweek after dropping their opener to Venezuela.
Peru coach Ricardo Gareca, also careful not to tamper with a winning formula, has opted to stick with the same XI he fielded in the victory over Venezuela on Thursday. They didn't look entirely convincing in beating their 10-men opponents on the night, but an admirable defensive display should give them confidence here as they look to slow the high-flying attack of Los Cafeteros.
Just about set here on a beautiful day in Temuco - and the atmosphere? It's superb.
HALF TIME: COLOMBIA 0-0 PERU. A lack of goals after 45 minutes, but it can't be attributed to a lack of goalmouth action. The tempo has been superb throughout and it's made for some excellent football. After an electrifying start from Colombia, Peru have settled in and made it known they have a fight on their hands. It's perfectly poised for an entertaining final 45 minutes.
The players are making their way through the tunnel as this second half is set to get back underway in just a few moments.
FULL TIME: COLOMBIA 0-0 PERU. Los Incas are through to the quarter-finals, but it's not all doom and gloom yet for Pekerman's men. Colombia will have to wait to learn their fate, but a victory for either Brazil or Venezuela in the final match would still send them through in third place to take on Argentina.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
