There will be two minutes of stoppage time, as indicated by the fourth official.
88'
NEARLY A CONSOLATION GOAL! Stocker gets on the end of a cross at the far post, but he's blanketed by Subotic, somehow failing to get a touch at goal. He's calling for a penalty, while Jurgen Klopp berates his defenders from the touchline.
86'
STAT ATTACK: Borussia Dortmund have won four of their last six Bundesliga home matches (D1, L1). They recorded victories in each of their last two league games at the Signal Iduna Park, scoring five goals without reply. They have yet to win three consecutive Bundesliga fixtures at home this season.
84'
Ronny enters the game and replaces G. Haraguchi.
S. Bender enters the game and replaces S. Kagawa.
Final substitutions for both teams here as we approach the final five minutes. Set piece specialist Ronny is on for Hertha, replacing Haraguchi, while Sven Bender comes into the match to help see out the win at the expense of Kagawa.
83'
SPECTACULAR DOUBLE SAVE! Dortmund are so dangerous on the counter and they show why here! Kampl does brilliantly to dribble his way through two defenders before threading a pass across for Kagawa. The attacker can't beat Kraft from in close, and the keeper scrambles across to his left to deny Kampl on the follow up!
81'
HAS TO BE BETTER! Schulz does well on the right to find space and deliver in a cross, but Stocker tries to bring it down instead of sending a header at goal. Hummels sniffs it out, but Pekarik pounces to keep the pressure on and lashes a shot across the face of goal and out for a throw from a very tight angle.
79'
Dortmund have weathered the storm and are back in possession. It's all very comfortable for them in midfield, passing it around patiently and playing keep away from their opponents as they try to see this lead through to the final whistle.
77'
Lustenberger picks up a yellow card, negating the pressure they had been applying on the Dortmund defence. The midfielder slides in to try and win a ball back in the attacking half, and puts in a good challenge, but he catches Mkhitaryan on the follow through which doesn't go unnoticed by the referee.
76'
F. Lustenberger gets yellow.
75'
STAT ATTACK: Hertha Berlin have managed just 282 shots this season, the lowest among teams in the top flight. By comparison, Dortmund have managed 515, the second most, close to double that of the capital club.
Minute
Description
73'
GOOD DEFENSIVE HEADER! Much better from the visitors there, however! Skjelbred makes a good run into attack before laying if off for Pekarik on the right. The defender sends a teasing cross into the centre, but Subotic rises well to head it behind for a corner.
72'
Ł. Piszczek enters the game and replaces M. Schmelzer.
71'
It's a second change for Dortmund, though again it is a like-for-like swap, not a tactical change. Marcel Schmelzer is withdrawn and Lukasz Piszczek comes on in his place. The German takes his sweet time walking off the pitch, running over half a minute off the clock.
69'
SHOULD BE THREE! Tremendous build-up from the hosts, which sends Kagawa through along the right. The attacker cuts it back into the centre, just behind Immobile, but Gundogan is able to run onto the end of it. He gets off a good first-time shot, but Pekarik manages to turn it aside with a lovely block.
67'
C. Immobile enters the game and replaces P. Aubameyang.
With just over 20 minutes remaining, Jurgen Klopp calls upon his first substitute. Aubameyang hasn't done quite enough to get in behind the defence, though he's covered a lot of ground in attack. In an attempt to get some fresh legs out there, Klopp sends in Ciro Immobile to try and put this game to bed once and for all.
65'
STAT ATTACK: Since Jurgen Klopp took over the coaching job at Dortmund in 2008/09, the Black-and-Yellows have finished each Bundesliga season in the top six. They can reach 49 points with victories in their last three matches, which would still be 10 fewer than the 59 they managed in their worst season under Klopp.
63'
DREADFUL EFFORT! Kagawa picks up the ball near the halfway line and does well to advance into the final third. He has options all around him for a through ball, but opts to try and go for goal himself, lifting an abysmal shot miles over the bar.
61'
Both Weder Bremen and Hoffenheim are currently trailing in their matches at the moment, while Augsburg are holding Bayern at bay for the time being. Should these results hold, Dortmund would move ahead of the first two, and within a point of Augsburg, drastically increasing their odds of a sixth place finish.
59'
IMPORTANT BLOCK! Kampl sprints through the centre, finding a big pocket of space before sliding a pass across for Mkhitaryan on the right. The Armenian appears to have switched onto the right for the time being, and manages to get inside the area, but can't get his shot on target as Plattenhardt recovers to knock it behind for a corner.
57'
I'm not quite sure what the reasoning behind the latest change was for Hertha. Brooks has played well in defence and at first glance it doesn't appear that he picked up an injury - though it isn't out of the realm of possibility.
55'
J. Heitinga enters the game and replaces J. Brooks.
Haraguchi does well to fend off a few challenges in midfield and hold the ball up, before forcing Subotic into a foul. The defender is shown a yellow card, the second of the match for Dortmund. Meanwhile, Hertha use the stoppage to make their second change, and it's a bit of a puzzling one as John Anthony Brooks is replaced at the back by Johnny Heitinga.
54'
N. Subotić gets yellow.
53'
P. Skjelbred gets yellow.
STAT ATTACK: Hertha Berlin have accumulated the least possession among teams in the top flight, with just 39.7 per cent after 31 matches. They had 55 per cent in the first half today.
51'
GREAT DEFENDING! Aubameyang is played through on goal by Kagawa, but Langkamp does incredibly well to recover and stick a leg in to deflect the striker's shot behind for a corner! That would have put Dortmund out of reach!
49'
OVER THE BAR! Dortmund have started this second half brilliantly and nearly get a second goal in two minutes! Durm is making his presence felt on the right, linking up with Kampl before squaring it up for Gundogan atop the area, but he can't hit the target with his first-time shot.
47'
E. Durm has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by H. Mkhitaryan.
DORTMUND DOUBLE THEIR LEAD JUST MINUTES AFTER THE RESTART! Kraft will be kicking himself for not keeping this one out! Patient, probing build-up play from the hosts sees Mkhitaryan work the ball across for Durm in the right channel. The defender cuts onto his left and curls a shot in at the far post, but that really should have been stopped!
46'
S. Wagner enters the game and replaces S. Kalou.
Here we go again! Salomon Kalou has been subbed off the break after a fairly ineffective first half, with Sandro Wagner taking his place up top.
45'
That's the end of the first half!
43'
Play finally resumes after Langkamp is able to walk off under his own power, and now appears set to re-enter the match after the next stoppage.
41'
OUCH! Kagawa does well to weave his way through to the top of the area and lays it off for Aubameyang. The striker has eyes for goal and gets everything behind his shot, which hits Langkamp flush in the chest. The defender goes straight to ground and is in need of medical attention here - though he probably has just been winded.
39'
OVER THE BAR! That was the first real chance of the match for Hertha, orchestrated by Schulz. The winger streaks into attack along the right and plays a low cross into the area. It ricochets off the heel of Hummels, straight into the path of Stocker, but he can't direct his shot on target!
37'
Dortmund are starting to dominate possession now, after a prolonged period where Hertha enjoyed plenty of time on the ball. The visitors' reluctance to commit men into attack has not played into Klopp's plans, and thus they seem to have changed their approach here.
35'
S. Kehl gets yellow.
There is a bit of a lengthy delay here as Skjelbred is attened to after finding himself on the receiving end of a stray elbow from Kehl. The Dortmund midfielder is shown a yellow card for the careless challenge.
33'
STAT ATTACK: Borussia Dortmund have won just one of their last six home matches against Hertha Berlin (D2, L3). Their last two meetings with the capital club at the Signal Iduna Park each ended in 2-1 defeats.
31'
Hertha aren't pushing the pace nearly as much as they should be. Dortmund are inviting pressure, looking to play the counter, but the visitors are not taking advantage. They're reluctant to commit men forward, wary of the threat the hosts pose on the break, and it has prevented them from creating much of anything in attack.
29'
Haraguchi and Stocker link up well on the left, before the Swiss attacker works a clever one-two with Lustenberger. The return pass is read well by Subotic, who slides in to intervene at the vital moment, making clean contact with the ball so as not to concede a penalty.
27'
NEARLY THE SECOND! Another ball won back by Dortmund near their own penalty area leads to a chance. Mkhitaryan plays a long ball over the top for Aubameyang to chase. The striker gets behind the defence, and Kraft slips as he rushes out to clear, but manages to recover just in time and just knock the ball away from well outside his penalty area.
26'
G. Haraguchi gets yellow.
25'
Hertha are actually enjoying more possession than their opponents since the Subotic opener. They have precious little to show for it, however, having yet to test Langerak in goal, while Dortmund continute to look threatening on the counter when they win the ball back in their own half.
23'
STAT ATTACK: Hertha Berlin are winless in their last four Bundesliga matches, their worst run under current coach Pal Dardai (D2, L2).
21'
The pace of this match goes through phases, never really settling in. It will pick up for a brief spell, then slow to a near stand still for a few minutes to follow. There has been no flow to the game and it has made for some tedious moments out on the pitch.
19'
Great defensive play! A giveaway near the top of the penalty area by Haraguchi allows Dortmund to break with pace on the counter. Kampl sprints forward and picks out Aubameyang, but Brooks reads it brilliantly, intervening from behind to break up the threatening attack.
17'
Dortmund are looking threatening with each attack, and certainly appear to be full of goals today. It has been quite some time since they looked this dangerous to start a Bundesliga match, even taking 45 minutes before finally springing to life in a 3-0 victory over Paderborn a few weeks back.
15'
JUST WIDE! That would have been a dagger in the heart of these Hertha players! Mkhitaryan takes a pass just inside the area and makes quick work of John Brooks to create space for a shot, but drags his final effort wide of the far post.
13'
Hertha have settled down after conceding, but they have a mountain to climb now. Goals have been hard for them to come by in recent weeks, scoring just once in their last three matches.
11'
STAT ATTACK: Henrikh Mkhitaryan has now played a role in four of Dortmund’s last seven goals in the league, scoring once and providing two assists. He had managed just one goal and no helpers in BVB's 35 Bundesliga tallies this term preceding this run of form.
9'
N. Subotić has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by H. Mkhitaryan.
DORTMUND SNATCH THE LEAD INSIDE 10 MINUTES! Another set piece, this one delivered in by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who picks out a wide open Neven Subotic. The centre-half takes advantage of some abysmal defending to head Dortmund in front!
7'
CLOSE! Marvin Plattenhardt plays a ball behind for a corner under relatively no pressure, after a teasing cross from Aubameyang. The ensuing corner is met by Hummels, who does well to peel away from his marker at the far post, but he can't direct his header goalwards.
5'
Dortmund muster the first threatening foray into the opposition's penalty area. Kevin Kampl makes a lovely little run down the right and delivers a short cross in for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The striker tries an improvised back-heel, but knocks it straight into the air before the danger is cleared.
3'
Hertha appear to be full of running early on, applying some great pressure on the hosts in possession. They win it back and pass it around patiently in midfield, but still nothing to speak of in terms of attacking play from either side.
1'
And we're off! Dortmund in yellow and black, Hertha in blue and white.
Hello football fans around the world and welcome to Germany! The Signal Iduna Park is our venue today, as Borussia Dortmund look for three points to try and boost their unlikely top six hopes when they take on a Hertha Berlin side hoping to secure their place in the top flight. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
Borussia Dortmund remain confident in their chances to climb the Bundesliga table and qualify for Europe next season, but all is not lost should their pursuit of the top six not prove fruitful. A victory over Wolfsburg in the DFB-Pokal final would clinch them a spot in the Europa League group stage. The odds are stacked against them in the league, trailing Augsburg by three points, with Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim also standing in their way. This is by all means a must-win for Klopp’s side, ahead of their crucial final two league matches against Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
Hertha Berlin have drifted dangerously close to the relegation zone, and a third consecutive defeat today would leave little breathing room ahead of the final two weeks of the season. The capital club sit just three points above play-off bound Paderborn, though Freiburg and Hamburg, also below them, have played an extra game, settling for a draw in yesterday evening's fixture. A surprise victory today would all but guarantee their place in the top flight for next season.
HERTHA BERLIN SUBS: Heitinga, N'Djeng, Ronny, Hegeler, Niemeyer, Burchert, Wagner.
Jurgen Klopp has made just one change to his side following their draw at Hoffenheim last weekend, with Jakub Blaszczykowski, who was forced off injured in the first half, replaced by Kevin Kampl. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continues to spearhead the attack, hoping to return to his goal scoring ways, supported by Shinji Kagawa lying in behind.
Hertha's coach Pal Dardai has made just one change himself, as they look for their first win since the first week of April. Nico Schulz comes in to play on the wing, in support of Salomon Kalou, pushing Genki Haraguchi to the right and Marcel N'Djeng to the bench.
HALF TIME: DORTMUND 1-0 HERTHA. Neven Subotic has the hosts in front at the break, in what was a fairly comfortable and straightforward opening 45 minutes for them. Chances proved hard to come by for either side, but Dortmund certainly posed the greater threat going forward and they have their goal to show for it.
FULL TIME: DORTMUND 2-0 HERTHA. Jurgen Klopp's side keep their top six hopes alive as goals from Neven Subotic and Erik Durm help see off the relegation threatened capital club. It was never in doubt for Dortmund, as they took the lead inside 20 minutes and never looked back.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
