Out comes the referee's yellow card as he books Ochoa for time wasting.
90' +2
P. Aguilar gets yellow.
Time is almost up for the Netherlands. They have about three minutes left and they are hardly crowding the Mexico penalty area at the moment. Mexico deserve victory to be honest.
90'
There will be five minutes added on here.
89'
H. Rodríguez enters the game and replaces J. Vázquez.
88'
M. Ponce enters the game and replaces A. Guardado.
Netherlands do not have long left to salvage something from this now. They are looking a bit desperate at the moment, with the build-up play seemingly lacking any real plan. Can Mexico hold on?
86'
NETHERLANDS GO CLOSE! Promes forces Ochoa into a fine save from a corner, with his bullet header causing the goalkeeper a bit of a problem. Fer then blazes the rebound well over.
84'
Robben is trying to force the issue here as he rampages up the right flank, skipping past Aldrete in the process. He is ultimately crowded out, though, with Guardado winning the ball.
82'
J. dos Santos enters the game and replaces H. Herrera.
Off goes Hector Herrera, with Jonathan Dos Santos taking his place.
81'
O. Alanís gets yellow.
L. Fer enters the game and replaces W. Sneijder.
Off goes Sneijder, with Leroy Fer taking his place in the midfield for the final minutes.

Description
79'
Although some of this match's main danger men have left the drama, we are no doubt set for an intriguing final 10 minutes in Amsterdam. Netherlands will be pushing for a late equaliser, but Mexico have been very dangerous on the break so far.
77'
Jimenez almost makes an immediate impact as he meets a right-wing cross with a header. But his effort bounces just wide of Krul's left-hand post, with the goalkeeper not looking overly worried.
76'
G. dos Santos enters the game and replaces C. Vela.
R. Jiménez enters the game and replaces J. Hernández.
Here comes the latest changes. Mexico replace Hernandez and Vela with Jimenez and Gio Dos Santos.
74'
D. Blind has scored a goal for Netherlands! Assist by A. Robben.
GOAL!!! BLIND WITH A SCREAMER! Very much game on again here as Netherlands get a second. Blind is given space to run into about 35 yards from goal and he opts to shoot. His powerful effort takes a deflection off Reyes and, although Ochoa gets a touch, the ball finds the net. What a match!
71'
Hiddink is sat on the Dutch bench looking utterly bemused. The Mexicans have been truly ruthless in attack, but there are serious question marks being raised about the Netherlands' defence. Veltman has had a disaster so far today.
69'
J. Hernández has scored a goal for Mexico! Assist by A. Guardado.
GOAL!!! HERNANDEZ SILENCES THE DUTCH! Guardado does well to pounce on a loose pass in the middle and, with Veltman way out of position, he slips a fine pass in towards the area for Hernandez, who coolly slots home after taking on Krul.
68'
Here is the latest Dutch change as Wijnaldum takes the place of Afellay, who had done very little.
67'
G. Wijnaldum enters the game and replaces I. Afellay.
66'
Well, that's one way to stop Vela. The Mexico forward bursts into the middle and is tripped while trying to run through a group of players. De Vrij sees his name go into the referee's book as a result.
65'
S. de Vrij gets yellow.
64'
The Dutch have had absolutely no answer for Vela so far. His movement has been excellent, while he looks almost unstoppable when on the ball. It should also be noted that his link-up play with Hernandez has been flawless so far.
62'
C. Vela has scored a goal for Mexico! Assist by J. Corona.
GOAL!!! VELA GETS HIS SECOND! What a day this is turning out to be for the former Arsenal man! Hernandez does brilliantly to steal possession and then hold on to it in the midfield. He charges forward and curls a delightful lofted pass into the area for his strike partner, who takes a touch and blasts an effort into the net.
61'
J. Corona enters the game and replaces M. Herrera.
60'
Q. Promes enters the game and replaces M. Depay.
59'
What a brilliant match this has been so far. End-to-end, with both sides looking to steal a win despite it only being a friendly. Let's just hope that this match isn't ruined by a host of changes!
57'
KRUL SAVES THE NETHERLANDS! The Dutch free-kick is ultimately wasted by Sneijder, who blasts over the crossbar and Mexico break away quickly. Eventually, Vela knocks a cross back across the face of goal and into the danger zone for Hernandez. The ball evades De Vrij and the Real Madrid man sees his half-volley halted in desperate fashion by Krul.
55'
Mexico are really under pressure at the moment, with Depay coming deep to win a free-kick about 35 yards from goal. The Dutch fill the area as Sneijder strolls over to take the set-piece.
53'
Excellent delivery in from the left by Sneijder. The midfielder's cross is devilish and teasing. Robben arrives late in an attempt to steer it beyond Ochoa, but Miguel Herrera does well to stick a foot in.
51'
MEXICO NEARLY RE-TAKE THE LEAD! Guardado lofts a brilliant free-kick into the penalty area from a deep, central position. It evades everyone in the area except the switched-on Hernandez, who meets it with a looping header. It goes just over, though.
49'
W. Sneijder has scored a goal for Netherlands!
Good play by Van Rhijn as he surges up the right, gets beyond Aldrete and fires a low cross into the danger zone. Huntelaar is lurking in the area, but Miguel Herrera hooks it away to good effect.
GOAL!!! NETHERLANDS EQUALISE IN STYLE! What a way to draw level. Sneijder pounces on a headed clearance from a Mexico defender and he subsequently lashes a sublime volley into the top-left corner from 25 yards.
47'
Mexico almost find themselves with a chance inside the first two minutes of the second half as Krul's first-time clearance is played straight to Hector Herrera. Veltman spares his goalkeeper's blushes, though, making a well-timed tackle on the edge of the area.
46'
The teams are back out and the second half is underway.
45' +2
HALF-TIME!
45'
There will be two minutes added on here.
44'
WHAT A MISS! The Netherlands really should be level now. Robben's corner delivery is flicked on towards the far post and the unmarked Huntelaar is on hand to tap it goalwards, but he inexplicably misses the target from about three yards. Huge let-off for Mexico.
43'
Mexico are hanging on a little here. Robben causes havoc on the right and sends a bouncing shot zipping towards Ochoa. The goalkeeper makes a meal of it, but he is ultimately bailed out by his defenders. Corner to the hosts.
41'
This is becoming a bit repetitive now! This time Huntelaar is battling in the air with Miguel Herrera and the outcome is very much the same. The big centre-forward out-jumps his marker to meet Van Rhijn's cross, but again Ochoa makes the save.
39'
Schalke man Huntelaar gets another opportunity, this time as he reads Willems' cross much better than the Mexico defence. He manages to get a header away, but Reyes just about does enough to put him off and Ochoa collects with ease.
37'
Huntelaar is starting to get much better service, but on this occasion he can't quite get his effort past Reyes, who comes across and pulls off an important block inside his own area.
35'
WHAT A WASTE! The Mexico defence is all over the place as the Netherlands break at pace. Sneijder is released through the middle and he gallops into open space. However, he scuffs his shot at the crucial moment, allowing Miguel Herrera to clear his lines.
34'
The free-kick comes to very little, though. Hernandez was lurking in the danger area and was undoubtedly looking to pounce, but Krul punched it away well.
32'
Good play by Vela to ease the pressure on Mexico. The forward marches down the right, skips past De Vrij and then wins a cheap free-kick on the wing. The Dutch defender doesn't look too impressed, but the Mexican defenders will no doubt be grateful for some respite.
30'
And now Robben tests Ochoa! The Bayern forward cuts in on to his favoured left foot and unleashes a low drive towards the bottom-far corner. The goalkeeper gets down and palms it away, however.
28'
TWO CHANCES WASTED FOR THE HOSTS! This match is becoming increasingly open and the Netherlands see two good efforts go begging inside one minute. Firstly, Robben does brilliantly down the right, linking up with Van Rhijn before cutting a pass back to Huntelaar. Miguel Herrera makes the block, though, and then just a few moments later, Depay lifts a half-volley on to the roof of the goal.
26'
NEARLY A SECOND FOR MEXICO! Guardado produces a precise delivery from his corner and he manages to pick out the clever run of Alanis, who ran straight across the back of a crowd of players and met the ball at the front post. His header goes just wide, though.
24'
S. de Vrij enters the game and replaces R. Vlaar.
And, after some deliberation, Vlaar is taken off and replaced by De Vrij, who also enjoyed a good World Cup. That is a blow for the Netherlands and, of course, Aston Villa.
22'
We have another break in play here and it does not look like good news for the Dutch and Ron Vlaar. The defender has picked up an injury and it appears that he will be forced off.
20'
Well, Hiddink's men do appear to have woken up. And it can come as no surprise their awakening is linked to getting Depay involved. The youngster, who was so impressive at the World Cup, had been very quiet before that fine wing play just a few moments ago.
18'
HUGE CHANCE FOR THE HOSTS! We finally get a glimpse of the impressive Depay as he tricks his way past a couple of players down the left and flashes a low delivery into the area. Ochoa gets a hand to it and diverts it away from Huntelaar, but Robben is on hand. Nevertheless, his tap-in is kept out by the covering Aldrete. Excellent defending.
16'
This is all a little easy for Mexico at the moment. They work the ball around well at the back to play themselves out of trouble and then Blind proceeds to commit a needless foul while challenging Miguel Herrera in the air.
14'
What a waste. The corner is belted into the area, yet Mexico clear with ease and take the ball away with confidence. The hosts are yet to come to life here.
13'
This is a good chance for an immediate Dutch response, however, as Depay lofts a seemingly harmless cross in from the left and, as a result of poor communication, Aldrete knocks the ball behind for a corner.
11'
There is another example of Aldrete's fine crossing ability. The left wing-back curls a great delivery into the danger area and Hernandez pounces, flicking the ball just a few yards wide of the far post.
10'
Mexico have started this match excellently so far, pushing forward in numbers and forcing their hosts to defend in numbers. The visitors' dynamic midfield will pose problems throughout, but Vela and Hernandez really look in the mood.
8'
C. Vela has scored a goal for Mexico! Assist by H. Herrera.
GOAL!!! VELA STUNS AMSTERDAM! Mexico take the lead in the Netherlands and the Real Sociedad star has marked his return to the international fold in style. The former Arsenal man held off the challenge of Afellay and bent an unstoppable effort into the top-left corner from about 25 yards. Stunning goal.
7'
If the early exchanges are anything to go by, we can be sure that Mexico will be looking to crowd out the middle as much as possible. Robben and Depay have both shown a willingness to comes inside so far, but each of them has run into a green wall of defenders.
5'
That was a good opportunity for the Mexicans. After winning a free-kick about 35 yards from goal, Guardado lifts the ball into the danger area. Krul comes through a crowd of players and, although he gets a punch away, his clearance isn't convincing.
2'
Well, we already have our first pause of play. Aldrete's decent delivery from the left is partially controlled by Hernandez, who then sees his high foot collide with Willems' head. The young full-back does appear to be fine, though.
1'
And here we go. The Dutch start the action in Amsterdam.
And here we go. The Dutch start the action in Amsterdam.
Hello and welcome to the LIVE text commentary of the international friendly between the Netherlands and Mexico. The Amsterdam ArenA plays host to today's fixture as the Dutch prepare for their next Euro 2016 qualifier against Latvia and I, Ryan Benson, shall be describing the action for you as it happens.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
Netherlands starting XI (4-3-3): Krul; Van Rhijn, Veltman, Vlaar, Willems; Afellay, Sneijder, Blind; Robben, Huntelaar, Depay.
Netherlands substitutes: Cillessen, Vermeer, Van der Wiel, Wijnaldum, Bruma, De Jong, Fer, Narsingh, Promes, De Vrij.
Mexico starting XI: Ochoa; Aguilar, Reyes, M. Herrera, Alanis, Aldrete; Vazquez, H. Herrera, Guardado; Vela, Hernandez.
Mexico subs: Corona, Talavera, Ponce, Jimenez, Gonzalez, Corral, Gio Dos Santos, Dominguez, Jonathan Dos Santos, Venegas.
Meanwhile, in the Mexico team, Carlos Vela plays his first international match since 2011, when the Real Sociedad star fell foul of his team's disciplinary expectations while on duty. He lines up with Javier Hernandez in attack, with the Real Madrid attacker capitalising on Oribe Peralta's absence.
Netherlands coach Guus Hiddink more or less lines up as expected, with Huntelaar flanked by Robben and the in-form Depay, who is having a fine season domestically with PSV. At the back, Veltman partners Vlaar in the centre as De Vrij takes a place on the bench. Afellay slots into the midfield alongside regulars Blind and Sneijder, with the former enjoying a good start to life in the Premier League at Manchester United.
The players are now out on the pitch as these two prepare to face each other since their controversial quarter-final clash at this year's World Cup.
The referee blows his whistle to end a pulsating half of football. Mexico hold a 1-0 lead, but it is an advantage which does not look remotely secure. The hosts did eventually get going after a very quiet start, yet they have struggled to find the back of the net, with Huntelaar proving oddly wasteful so far. Hopefully the second half will be just as entertaining, with the Netherlands looking to produce a second-half turnaround.
The referee blows his whistle to end a breathtaking friendly. Mexico edge out their Dutch hosts 3-2 thanks to two goals from the returning Vela and one from Hernandez. The Mexicans deserve their victory, with their all-action display certain to delight the neutrals. The result and performance leaves Hiddink with yet more questions to ponder ahead their qualifier with Latvia, with the coach coming under increasing scrutiny.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed the action. Until next time, farewell.
