Schalke make a final change in a bid to waste time as Draxler is replaced by Max for the latter's Bundesliga debut.
90'
Dortmund win a corner on the right but Reus' delivery is poor and Schalke get it cleared. We will have two minutes of stoppage time to find a goal.
88'
Sahin has been quiet this evening, but he is almost the hero as he takes aim from 20 yards. His effort is deflected and Fahrmann has to readjust before collecting.
87'
J. Schieber enters the game and replaces K. Großkreutz.
Substitutions remain the order of the day as Grosskreutz makes way for Schieber. Klopp isn't going to let this one just end in a draw without going for it.
85'
C. Obasi enters the game and replaces L. Goretzka.
A second change for Schalke as Goretzka is replaced by Obasi for the closing stages.
83'
How this game is still goalless I'm not sure, but with just seven minutes to go the chances of the deadlock being broken are diminishing. That hasn't stopped the fans from singing their hearts out, however.
81'
PENALTY? NO! Appeals from Dortmund fall on deaf ears as Reus goes down after a challenge from Annan. The contact was minimal, though the Dortmund man may have had a case.
79'
P. Aubameyang enters the game and replaces H. Mkhitaryan.
Dortmund make their first change as the dangerous Mkhitaryan is replaced by the returning Aubameyang.
77'
A. Annan enters the game and replaces M. Meyer.
GOOD SAVE! Weidenfeller has had little to do this evening but he had to be aware as Boateng sends a swerving drive goalwards from 25 yards, and the goalkeeper does well to turn it around the post low to his left.
76'
Finally we have the first change of the evening as Annan replaces Meyer in midfield.
Minute
Description
73'
K. Boateng gets yellow.
HOW HAS HE MISSED!? Dortmund again attack at speed as Mkhitaryan trades passes with Grosskreutz before breaking into the box. He has the whole of the goal to aim at but he drags his effort agonisingly wide. What a chance.
72'
Credit must go to Schalke for hanging in there, though much of the praise must go to Fahrmann. He has now made three great saves to keep this goalless.
70'
SUPERB SAVE! Fahrmann is at it again as he pulls off a another wonderful save. A cross from the right finds Reus all alone in the box, and his downward header is on it's way into the bottom corner, only for the goakleeper to stick out his left hand and push it away.
68'
HUGE CHANCE! Dortmund should lead, and only Lewandowski knows how they don't. The striker gets the ball back from Mkhitaryan on the edge of the box and should really shoot. Instead he looks to round Fahrmann, but the goalkeeper makes a challenge with his feet and the chance is gone.
67'
Boateng has been fairly quiet so far, but he has showed some delightful touches in midfield, including a piece of skill that leaves two Dortmund players for dead.
65'
This really is a lull now, and though both sets of supporters are trying to get their respective teams going, the two teams are certainly looking to be slightly more cautious. Neither want to concede heading into the final quarter.
63'
I wonder how long it will be until we see Aubameyang from the bench. Despite their dominance, Dortmund haven't quite had that goalscoring touch this evening.
61'
Schalke seem to have slowed the pace of the match down by getting their foot on the ball and keeping it in midfield. No doubt Dortmund will come again, though.
59'
GREAT CHANCE! Draxler drifts in the resutling free-kick, Neustadter is all on his own around eight yards from goal. He gets power behind his header but it is straight at Weidenfeller and he is able to hold on. A massive opportunity for the visitors to take the lead wasted.
58'
M. Hummels gets yellow.
Finally Schalke are able to hold onto possession, and they force Hummels into picking up a booking as he pulls back Meyer as he looks to latch onto Goretzka's ball forward.
56'
Schalke are having to work overtime to stay with the home side at present, with Dortmund moving the ball around at some pace. The visitors just cannot live with them at present.
54'
Young Durm has impressed both in defence and attack on the left for Dortmund, and he tries his luck from 25 yards after cutting inside onto his right foot. He doesn't quite get all of it though and slices his shot well wide.
53'
The home side are attacking at an electric pace and are picking holes in the Schalke defence at will. This time Reus feeds Mkhitaryan down the left, but his low cross is just about cleared by the visitors.
52'
Reus is the creator this time as he whips in a free-kick from the right after a foul by Goretzka, but Sokratis cannot direct his header goalwards at the back post.
50'
Fahrmann again has to be on his toes as a ball forward searches for Lewandowski, but he is quick enough off his line to take control of the situation. The Schalke goalkeeper looks set to be busy for the remainder of this one.
48'
Dortmund having plenty of joy down the right early in this second period as Grosskreutz again looks for Reus in the middle, but this time his pass is just too heavy and Fahrmann can collect as the Germany international slid in.
47'
Dortmund have come out the traps quickly, and Fahrmann again has to be on his toes as Hummels and Mkhitaryan combine to find Grosskreutz on the right. The winger then fires in a low cross, but Reus cannot find enough power in his finish to beat the goalkeeper.
46'
Schalke kick-off and we are back underway...
45' +1
GREAT SAVE! Fahrmann has to be on his guard to keep the scores level. Schalke lose the ball on the edge of their own box, and Reus picks it up and is in on goal. He fires low to the goalkeeper's right, but he does brilliantly to push it away. The best chance of the half.
45'
Matip is slightly fortunate to get away with just a ticking off as he goes in late on Lewandowski as he tried to break up the right-hand side. Referee Meyer possibly making his first wrong call of the evening.
43'
Schalke look to grab a goal of their own as Boateng floats a free-kick into the area, but Goretzka cannot get over his attempted header and it is far too high to trouble Weidenfeller.
41'
Dortmund look like they are building up to one last onslaught in this first half. They have had the better of things and will be disappointed if they go in at the break having failed to have broken the deadlock.
39'
JUST WIDE! As if on cue, Mkhitaryan is again to the fore as he cuts inside from the right before feeding Reus in the penalty area, but the winger's volley is narrowly wide. Klopp is happy and applauds his side's latest move.
38'
Mkhitaryan is popping up across the whole attacking line, and he almost creates something as he finds space on the right, but his cross is cleared.
36'
Dortmund have certainly looked the most likely of these two sides to break the deadlock, but Schalke are just about holding firm against the hosts' formidable attack. The visitors will probably be happy to make it to half-time with the score remaining goalless.
34'
Schalke finally get the ball clear and Draxler can pick out Goretzka, who is free on the right-hand side of the box. The midfielder takes a touch before letting fly, but Durm is back to make a good block.
32'
The resulting corner is headed clear by Matip, but Durm again has Fahrmann scrambling as he hits a first-time volley that is just off target.
31'
GREAT SAVE! Dortmund break with pace as Durm finds space on the left. He lays the ball back to Mkhitaryan on the edge of the box, and his vicious low drive is well saved by Fahrmann as he tips it round the post.
29'
J. Draxler gets yellow.
There are certainly some tensions bubbling under here, and Draxler goes into the book for a poor challenge on Grosskreutz. Huntelaar has some choice words for the Dortmund winger and the referee again has to diffuse the situation.
28'
Despite the ferocious pace at which this game has been played, there have been precious few genuine efforts on goal. Dortmund are having slightly the better of it, but Schalke are battling hard.
26'
The game threatens to boil over as Draxler jumps into Piszczek as he looks to win a header, and a number of players look to get involved. The referee does well to intervene and rightly dishes out no cards to those involved.
24'
M. Reus gets yellow.
A first yellow card of the game as Reus is penalised for leading with his elbow as he looked to win an aerial battle with Ayhan.
22'
Lewandowski thinks he is in behind the visitors' defence, but the referee's assistant correctly flags for a foul on Matip. The Poland striker has been impressive so far, despite that indiscretion.
20'
Dortmund are beginning to tick now as Lewandowski and Mkhitarayan combine well in midfield before the Armenian tries to find the striker rushing into the area, but the pass is just too weak and Schalke get it clear.
18'
WIDE! The closest we've come to a goal so far as Kehl almost marks his new deal with a goal. A free-kick is only half-cleared to the right, and after Mkhitaryan delivers a delightful cross, the Dortmund skipper heads just the wrong side of the upright.
17'
Schalke again threaten as Draxler pulls away to whip in a cross with his right foot, but Goretzka cannot direct his header and it falls harmlessly wide.
15'
Both sides have been guilty of some misplaced passes in the opening stages, with some nerves possibly apparent given the inexperience of a handful of players. It's certainly a cauldron of noise the teams have walked into this evening.
13'
After that frantic start the game eventually seems to have calmed down somewhat, with both midfields looking to get their foot on the ball and keep possession. Dortmund captain Kehl is certainly one of those who has been involved in the hosts' passing game on what it is 250th Bundesliga match for BVB. Only eight players have appeared more often.
11'
The delivery from the defender is poor and eventually Dortmund win a goal kick, though it seems that Sokratis may have had the final touch before the ball went out of play.
10'
Schalke have a chance to get the ball into the box as Grosskreutz catches Kolasinac on the left-hand side. Ayhan will look to whip it in...
8'
Chances coming at both ends now as Goretzka cuts inside onto his left foot on the edge of the area, but his shot is gathered easily by Weidenfeller.
7'
Schalke's defence already looks shaky as this time Grosskreutz breaks down the right after Sokratis' hopeful ball forward. His cross is behind Lewandowski, but he can then test Fahrmann himself with a low effort that is straight at the goalkeeper.
6'
A great start to this match, and Dortmund should really have tested Fahrmann through Lewandowski. Reus is allowed too much space on the left-hand side to cross, and he picks out the big Pole, but he gets his header all wrong and it flies well wide.
4'
Schalke break and it is they who have the first real chance as Kolasinac sprints past Piszczek before crossing for Huntelaar, but the striker's effort is too high and flies well over the bar.
3'
Dortmund have kept possession well in the early moments, and the home fans have their first chance to let their feelings be known to Huntelaar as the Schalke captain crouches to tie his shoelace for an extended period. The Dortmund fans weren't best pleased with that.

Dortmund kick-off and we are underway...
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Revierderby as Borussia Dortmund host Schalke in the Bundesliga. The league title may be beyond these two sides this season, but with the local rivals battling it out for a runners-up berth, tonight's match will certainly have a competitive edge. I'm Tom Maston and I'll be guiding you through all the action from Signal Iduna Park.
Jurgen Klopp's side currently lie second in the table, a massive 23 points behind runaway leaders Bayern Munich, but with the Champions League still to play for their season is far from over. Dortmund will also be keen to keep their title as one of the two bes sides in Germany, so a drop in league form will not be tolerated.
Schalke lie a further point behind their local rivals in third place, and coach Jens Keller would love nothing more than to displace Klopp's side as the next best team to Bayern in Germany. After all, given the way Pep Guardiola's side have been performing, that's not the worst accolade to have!
Before we go any further with the build-up, the two line-ups have been announced ahead of kick-off...
Klopp makes two changes to the Dortmund side that beat Hannover 3-0 last time out as Kehl, who signed a one-year contract extension on Sunday, and Reus return to the starting eleven. Kirch and Hofmann drop to the bench, where they will be joined by the returning Aubameyang.
Schalke coach Keller names an unchanged eleven from those that started the 3-1 win over Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday. The visitors' squad has been hit hard by injury in recent weeks, but with Huntelaar and Draxler in the side, they are still a formidable outfit.
There are just over ten minutes until kick-off in Dortmund, and there is sure to be an electric atmosphere, as always, inside the stadium for one of the biggest matches in German football. Dortmund won the reverse fixture 3-1 earlier in the campaign, so it is Schalke that will be out for revenge in their push for local bragging rights.
With March coming towards its close, Robert Lewandowski's time as a Dortmund player is beginning to wind down. The Poland striker will be hoping to give the BVB fans some more great memories before he leaves, and if he can replicate his superb individual goal against Hannover, then the supporters will certainly enjoy his final weeks at Signal Iduna Park.
Klopp has admitted this week that finishing third in Bundesliga would not be a disaster for Dortmund, but in truth, they need to maintain their top two finishes if they are to keep hold of their best players. The likes of Gotze and Lewandowski have already headed to Bayern, and more could follow if they cannot maintain their current position in the table.
The two teams have made their way onto the pitch, and as expected the atmosphere is highly-charged. This is the 144th clash between these two sides, and it promises to be one not to be missed.
The pre-match niceties are over, and we are ready for kick-off in Dortmund...
And with that the half-time whistle blows after a pulsating first half. Dortmund have been the better of the two sides, with Fahrmann having to have made two fine saves.
Reus and Kehl have also seen efforts go just the wrong side of the post while the closest Schalke came was when Goretzka's shot was held by Weidenfeller. I'll be back in ten minutes to see if either side can find the breakthrough.
The players are making their way back out onto the pitch in Dortmund, and the omens do not look good for a home win. Only once have BVB gone onto win a derby against Schalke in Bundesliga history that has been goalless at half-time. The other 16 instances have all ended in draws or Schalke victories.
The two teams look to be ready now, and we are almost ready to get back going in Germany...
Dortmund look to throw the ball into the box but Schalke hold firm and can be pleased with their evening's work. They remain a point behind their hosts in third, but they would certainly have taken a point ahead of kick-off.
Klopp and his side will rue their missed chances, with Fahrmann proving in inspired form while Lewandowski and Mkhitaryan wasting excellent opportunities in the second half. They remain second and on course to finish in the top two yet again. For now, I've been Tom Maston and thank you for joining me.
