We're into the dying stages now and Walcott crosses the ball into the box but it is headed away. Tense moments!

89'

The 19-year-old's excitement has got the better of him as he commits a foul.
88'
Lukaku and Deulofeu almost create a winner!
What an impact Deulofeu has had, however. He came on just minutes before he hit his fantastic equaliser.
87'
Everton have dominated possession since their goal, too. But Wenger's side can certainly still win this.
86'
Those doubting the Gunners' title credentials might point to occasions like this.
85'
Could the visitors even go on to claim a winner here? Arsenal look starstruck!
84'

Minute
Description
82'
Will Everton rue those missed chances beforehand? This could really be a lot different - but Arsenal are showing their strength in depth once again.
80'
M. Özil has scored a goal for Arsenal! Assist by T. Walcott.
GOALLLL! Mesut Ozil makes the breakthrough for Arsenal! Poor defending lets Everton down as the Gunners enjoy chance after chance in the box. Walcott heads the ball across goal, with Giroud trying and failing to pounce, but Germany international Ozil makes sure the back of the net is hit a third time around.
79'
Deulofeu enters the game and replaces Kevin Mirallas.
HEADER! Distin should do better as he heads off target from close range! Two chances in quick succession for the away side...
78'
SIDE-NETTING! Osman makes a great run and plays in Mirallas. The Belgian's shot takes a deflection and hits the side netting! Corner given.
77'
T. Howard gets yellow.
76'
Controversial decision? The ball rolls away from Gibbs and a goal kick is given, although replays suggest a corner would have been the correct decision. Wenger is not pleased.
75'
Walcott controls the ball well now but loses it with his pass. His team-mates recover possession for him.
74'
Arsenal, just about, look more likely to grab a late goal here. Purely because they are doing more of the attacking. Don't count out Martinez's disciplined, organised side, however.
73'
Mayhem in the penalty area as Giroud has a shot blocked and then referee Howard Webb blows his whistle for a foul.
72'
CHANCE! Giroud makes something of nothing as he plays Flamini through. The substitute can't make the most of the opportunity, however!
71'
Will we see a winner from either side today?
70'
L. Osman enters the game and replaces S. Pienaar.
Leon Osman enters the fray for the visitors, with Pienaar coming off. The South African has taken a few knocks and will be spared for the final 20 minutes.
68'
T. Walcott enters the game and replaces Santi Cazorla.
T. Rosický enters the game and replaces J. Wilshere.
M. Flamini enters the game and replaces A. Ramsey.
SAVE! Szczesny makes an important stop just before Wenger's changes are made.
Walcott is playing down the right for the Gunners, with Ozil now having moved further forward.
67'
Wenger is about to make a triple change! Mathieu Flamini, Walcott and Tomas Rosicky are the trio to come on.
66'
STAT ATTACK: Aaron Ramsey has completed 89% of his passes during this second half.
65'
Ozil's shot is blocked but Howard keeps the ball in play to prevent a corner.
64'
Still no sign of the deadlock being broken here. It'll take something special.
62'
Will either coach consider making any changes? Theo Walcott is warming up for Arsenal.
61'
J. McCarthy gets yellow.
60'
An hour has passed now and, as McCarthy fouls Ramsey, Arsene Wenger will be wondering whether his side have what it takes to win this. As things stand, Everton may well hit them on the break to get themselves a result...
59'
Speaking of Lukaku, James McCarthy makes a great cross into the box and the Belgian just misses the end of it!
58'
We are yet to see anything of note from Lukaku today. Given a chance, however, he can strike at any moment.
57'
That is followed up by a poor Everton shot that does not trouble Szczesny...
56'
ANOTHER SAVE! Howard is the man of the moment this time as Gibbs plays the ball into Ramsey and the Welshman hits a great strike at goal. The American shot stopper is there to deny him again, however.
54'
SAVE! Szczesny now makes a save to deny Pienaar! The South African got his shot away for Everton's best chance so far. We're seeing a more end-to-end game now...
53'
Giroud piles the pressure on the Everton defence now. Remember, a draw today would still extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table. But a winner does not look beyond the Gunners at the moment.
51'
SAVE! Wilshere plays the ball into Cazorla but the Spaniard's header is denied by Howard! The home side are completely on the front foot at the moment.
50'
The Emirates could be louder at the moment. The home fans are in good voice but you can sense their anxiety. Arsenal have not been in this position often this season.
49'
Ozil displays some fantastic skill down the left but Gibbs cannot convert a volley from 30 yards after receiving a pass from the German.
48'
CORNER! Arsenal win a corner with their first chance of the half. They look as though they are carrying on just how they finished the first period.
46'
The second half is underway!
45' +1
Injury time now... Can the Toffees hang on? They have looked second best in these last few minutes.
45'
HOWARD AGAIN! The Everton goalkeeper does superbly to get down and make another challenge, this time against Ramsey!
44'
Suddenly, the hosts look a different team. Can they make this period count, though?
43'
G. Barry gets yellow.
SAVE! Tim Howard (now having shaved his beard) makes a great save to block Giroud!
42'
OFFSIDE! The Gunners up the urgency and enjoy a few moments of quality. This time, Giroud looks to run onto the ball but is given offside by the linesman.
Phil Jagielka now gets a clearance in, as Cazorla and Ozil look to set up a strong finish to the half.
41'
Coleman is involved once again, clearing the danger from Cazorla.
40'
Boos ring out at the Emirates as Coleman gets on the ball now. They are, in part, booing him for a challenge on Wilshere earlier and, in part, booing from frustration at the performance.
38'
Coleman clashes with Cazorla and gives away a free kick. Arsenal have not enjoyed much freedom so far this half.
36'
Last season, both of these sides played out a 0-0 draw in this very fixture, with Giroud in particular enduring a flat performance.
35'
Ten minutes remain until half-time... Will we see a goal before the break?
34'
Another statistic: Everton have had 65% of the possession so far.
33'
STAT ATTACK: Everton completed 112 more passes than Arsenal in the opening 30 minutes.
32'
The Everton fans jeer as Cazorla fails to keep the ball in play and it goes out for a throw-in!
31'
It is Everton, though, who look the likelier to break the dealock. The hosts are not exactly incapable of a moment of magic, however...
30'
Half an hour gone and still goalless.
28'
But, moments later, Lukaku slips the ball back in the box with a cross-cum-shot and Mirallas is involved again! The Belgian cannot get on the end of it, however.
27'
Mirallas now wastes an attacking free kick, with all of Everton's front men forward. In the end, it goes straight to Wojciech Szczesny.
26'
CHANCE! Arsenal's first chance of the game! Carl Jenkinson makes a superb run down the right and the ball is whipped into the box. Gibbs looks certain to convert, after somehow getting himself to the six-yard box, but cannot force it in.
25'
BAD MISS! A great run from Coleman sees him beat Kieran Gibbs, though his shot is so bad it almost goes out for a throw-in!
24'
We are just over midway through this first half and Everton have still shaded proceedings.
21'
POOR! Barkley makes a fantastic run, skipping past Arteta, but plays in Mirallas and the Belgian fires his shot way off target. He should have done better - or passed to a team-mate.
20'
We are yet to see a clearcut chance at the Emirates Stadium. Could the first one be a momentum-changer? Meanwhile, Arsenal have just been drawn against Tottenham in the third round of the FA Cup.
19'
The home side are now taking control of proceedings, though they are finding it difficult to break this Everton back line down.
18'
From the follow-up, Ozil got involved but the Toffees dealt with the danger again. Olivier Giroud then brought the ball forward yet again but he passed to Cazorla and the Spaniard lost possession cheaply.
17'
Cazorla delivers a free kick into the area from 45 yards out now but it is headed away easily.
16'
Aaron Ramsey gets involved now, though he is dealt with by Barry. Good defending from Everton so far, as they stifle the hosts.
15'
Another free kick is given now as both sides up their intensity in midfield. Mirallas is penalised again, though will not be booked - yet.
13'
Free kick given: Jack Wilshere is the offender this time.
11'
SHOT! Sylvain Distin has an attempt at goal - but it is a classic defender's shot. Off target it goes.
10'
CORNER! Laurent Koscielny challenges Barkley as Everton win a corner. Are the hosts missing Mathieu Flamini here?
9'
Oviedo, Pienaar and Barry have been heavily involved so far. Everton are taking things slow just like Arsenal, though. No rush from either side. A chess-like opening.
7'
Oviedo attacks down the left! He plays a good cross into the box but it is cleared from danger.
6'
The Gunners are starting to see more of the ball and are keeping things patient in midfield. The visitors have definitely enjoyed the better of the first few minutes so far, however.
5'
Cazorla gets involved once again, though, attempting to set up Mesut Ozil, but an offside flag is given.
4'
Everton have started brightly, Seamus Coleman and Ross Barkley get involved high up the pitch, although it is then given away - but Santi Cazorla can't capitalise during the counterattack.
3'
FOUL! Gareth Barry commits our first offence of the day and Arsenal win an early free kick, taken by Mikel Arteta.
2'
Bryan Oviedo and Steven Pienaar's first contribution is to try and play in Romelu Lukaku. We'll no doubt see more of that this afternoon...
1'
Game on! Everton start us off.
Good afternoon and welcome to live-text commentary of Arsenal versus Everton! I'm your host Tim Poole and I'll be guiding you through what will no doubt be another thrilling Premier League encounter.
Without further ado, let's have a look at today's starting line-ups. Hosts Arsenal, first: Szczesny; Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs; Arteta, Ramsey; Wilshere, Ozil, Cazorla; Giroud.
Everton, meanwhile, are starting like this: Howard; Coleman, Distin, Jagielka, Oviedo; Barry, Barkley, Pienaar, McCarthy, Mirallas; Lukaku.
Arsenal substitutes: Vermaelen, Rosicky, Walcott, Monreal, Flamini, Fabianski, Bendtner.
There's plenty at stake at the Emirates Stadium today, with Arsenal having the chance to go seven points clear at the top of the Premier League with a win - this time, without a game in hand. Everton, though, have a lot to play for too: they can go fourth with a win today.
Arsenal are unbeaten in 17 home games, so the Toffees will certainly be up against it. Roberto Martinez's men did, however, make history by beating Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Kick-off is only a few minutes away, so get your seats warm (if you are sitting down..) and prepare for another clash of the titans!
The teams are out - and the Emirates is at full volume. Arsenal against Everton is imminent...
Before we begin, a minute's applause in tribute to the late Nelson Mandela.
HALF-TIME: Arsenal 0-0 Everton
A look at the amount of clear chances in that half suggest it might as well not have happened, although Roberto Martinez will be encouraged by Everton's performance in the opening 45 minutes.
The visitors have indeed looked the stronger of the two teams, although Arsenal finished strongly, with Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey both testing Tim Howard late on.
It has remained goalless going into the break, however, and it is all to play for in the second half. A seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League is the Gunners' motivation, while Everton will have a Champions League place on their minds.
FULL-TIME: Arsenal 1-1 Everton
Wow - what a finish. The game came to life in the second half - especially during that last 10 minutes.
It finishes all square, however, as Gerard Deulofeu's 84th-minute strike rescues a point for Everton after Mesut Ozil's opener for the Gunners. Overall, the visitors were the better side, although Arsenal showed resilience to stay level - and then take the lead.
That concludes our coverage for Arsenal against Everton, we hope you enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you soon! Take care.
As things stand, Everton stay fifth but go a point above Tottenham. Arsenal, of course, stay top but extend their lead to five points.
