We're underway in Wales as Cardiff get the game going.
The teams are in, so let's take a look, starting with the hosts...
So, no Vincent Kompany for the visitors, as Manuel Pellegrini drafts Javi Garcia into the City defence after the Belgium defender picked up an injury in Monday's win over Newcastle. Meanwhile, Andrew Taylor comes back into the Cardiff back line at the expense of Declan John, and new signing Andreas Cornelius could make his Bluebirds debut from the bench.
Edin Dzeko has been speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match, hinting that he's happy with the start he and City have made to the season: "I have a lot of confidence especially with the new manager and the way the team is playing this year. We showed in the first game against Newcastle how we want to play this season, we just have to keep going. He [boss Manuel Pellegrini] called me before pre-season and told me he counts on me and wants me to stay here and he wants me to do my best. I'm trying to do my best on the pitch."
An obligatory hat-tip for Yaya Toure, who is captaining Man City today on his 100th Premier League start for the club.
The players march out of the tunnel to be confronted by an absolute wall of noise. The crowd are really up for this one. Could the hosts spring a surprise this afternoon?
The Bluebirds - in red - get together for a huddle. We're moments away from kick-off in Cardiff.
And that's HALF-TIME in Wales, and we're still goalless after a thoroughly entertaining opening 45 minutes. Man City had more possession but the hosts had the best of the chances. It's perfectly poised for the second half.
Jay Jaffa's in Cardiff this afternoon, and he spotted a rather amusing incident during one of the drinks breaks: "This is why you need a Craig Bellamy in the Premier League. Everyone's favourite Welshman (...) used a break in play to spray referee Lee Probert with water. Initially the man in the middle seemed amused by the incident, until he called Bellamy over for a dressing down - presumably because of worries over the electrical equipment strapped to his face..."
The other Premier League fixture this afternoon is also goalless, with Swansea holding Tottenham at White Hart Lane. In Cardiff, meanwhile, the sprinklers are on and we're a few minutes away from resuming proceedings.
STAT ATTACK: Man City completed a whopping 255 passes in that half, compared to Cardiff's 114. But as we know, that doesn't tell the whole story. (Thanks to FourFourTwo for that info).
The teams are back out. More of the same entertainment, please.
It's FULL-TIME!! Cardiff have won!! What an absolutely incredible result for the newly-promoted side. Fraizer Campbell's double has grabbed the headlines but it was a stunning all-round performance from Malky Mackay's men.
Phew. What a match! Manuel Pellegrini will no doubt have some corner practice on the agenda during the week. They were undone by two set pieces and it's ultimately cost them.
