Depor are camped in the Atleti half now, but Oblak collects a cross comfortably and that should be that...
90' +3
That's the second stunning goal of the week from Thomas, who hit a superb effort in Atletico's 1-1 draw with Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday!
90' +1
T. Partey has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by Gabi.
Assist Gabriel Fernández Arenas
GOALLLLLLLLLL!!!!! Thomas Partey!!!! Gabi touches the ball to Thomas, who curls a sumptuous effort around the wall into the top-right corner. Pantilimon didn't even move!!
90'
Sidnei gets yellow.
Sidnei goes into the book for that challenge. Deserved.
89'
Free-kick to Atletico right on the edge of the box! Lucas Hernandez leads a scintillating break but is body-checked by Sidnei 25 yards out. Lucas needs treatment after an awkward fall on his arm but Atleti have a good chance to trouble Pantilimon here...
88'
Depor win a throw deep in Atleti territory, but Navarro's ball towards Andone is thumped away unceremoniously by Savic. No nonsense there from the defender!
86'
We're still no nearer seeing a winner here. The intensity is certainly there from both sides, but they are not committing many men forward in attack. Both sides wary of giving away a point, it seems.
84'
F. Andone gets yellow.
Yellow card for Florin Andone, following a late lunge on Stefan Savic. He can have few complaints about that one.
Gameiro goes down heavily after taking a knee in his back. He looks in some pain but is soon pulled to his feet and is able to continue.
82'
Fernando Navarro enters the game and replaces Luisinho.
Substitution Luis Carlos Correia Pinto Fernando Navarro i Corbacho
81'
Well wide! Gabi receives a pass from Gaitan on the edge of the box and shows neat feet to work himself some space. However, the midfielder is off balance as he strikes and his left-footed effort skews harmlessly off-target.
Minute
Description
80'
J. Giménez enters the game and replaces A. Griezmann.
After a quiet and ineffectual 80 minutes, Griezmann is taken off by Simeone and Jose Gimenez comes on in his place.
79'
Depor come forward this time, substitute Andone breaking away down the left but Juanfran shows his defensive nous to get across and snuff out the danger.
78'
Luisinho gets yellow.
Yellow card Luis Carlos Correia Pinto
77'
Juanfran gets yellow.
Juanfran gets down the right for Atletico and tries to cut the ball back into the middle, where Griezmann and Gameiro are lurking, but it is cleared away at the front post and Atleti settle for a throw.
Yellow card Juan Francisco Moreno Fuertes
75'
Pedro Mosquera enters the game and replaces C. Borges.
F. Andone enters the game and replaces Z. Bakkali.
Double change by the home side in a bid to freshen things up. Mosquera and Adone are introduced in place of Borges and Bakkali.
Substitution Zakaria Bakkali Florin Andone
74'
It comes to nothing as Gaitan's left-footed inswinger is headed away by the resolute Depor backline.
73'
Atletico win a free-kick in a promising position as Saul is hauled down by Luisinho. A chance for the visitors to send some real quality into the Depor box from just to the right of the box.
72'
As we enter the final 20 minutes the game is becoming increasingly scrappy, broken up by numerous free-kicks and throw-ins. It doesn't make for a great spectacle.
69'
Bakkali shows an impressive turn of foot to get beyond Juanfran down the left-hand side. He checks back and feeds inside to Valverde, who switches the play to the right and the move breaks down. Disappointing conclusion to a promising attack for the hosts.
67'
Atletico are struggling to get anything going here in an attacking sense. Griezmann jogs hopefully in the vague direction of an Oblak goal kick, but he's never likely to win those. Atleti need to work the ball into his feet.
65'
OFFSIDE! Gameiro has the ball in the net from Griezmann's pass, but the assistant referee raises his flag and it proves to be the right decision, with Gameiro just failing to time his run.
64'
Gameiro has moved up alongside Griezmann in attack. A first sign of a link-up here as Griezmann flicks on for his team-mate, but Depor move quickly to snuff out the danger. You get the sense one goal, should it arrive, will decide this one.
62'
Cartabia involved again, this time letting fly with a deflected shot from range which causes Oblak a momentary concern. The goalkeeper moves his feet well, getting across to parry it away from his top-left corner.
61'
K. Gameiro enters the game and replaces A. Fernández.
Second change from Simeone, who introduces Kevin Gameiro in place of Augusto Fernandez.
59'
Cartabia tries to get to the byline down Depor's right, but he is crowded out by a couple of Atleti defenders. As ever, Simeone's side giving little away in their own third.
57'
A patient period of possession for Atleti, who bring it out through Thomas. The Ghana international tries to find Griezmann, but the pass clips the striker's heel and is swept up by Deportivo's defence.
54'
Depor win a corner after Oblak unconvincingly attempts to claim a right-wing cross from Cartabia. When the delivery comes in, Guilherme heads wide from a crowded six-yard box.
52'
WIDE! From Gaitan's resulting corner, Godin dives forward to head narrowly off target.
51'
SAVE! Gaitan collects Saul's knockdown and sends a 20-yard, left-footed strike towards goal, which Pantilimon pushes wide for a corner.
50'
Much better from Atletico so far in the second half. The visitors have more of the ball and are playing at a higher tempo, putting Depor under pressure.
47'
We have our first on shot on target! Griezmann races through after a pass from Gaitan and fires a right-footed effort straight at Pantilimon.
46'
N. Gaitán enters the game and replaces Á. Correa.
Simeone has taken immediate action after that poor first half from Atletico, with Gaitan on for the ineffective Correa.
42'
Atletico finally work the ball upfield and stroke the ball around the Deportivo box but nothing comes of the attack the home side break forward again.
40'
Deportivo have been the better side in this game and appear to be invigorated under their new manager Cristobal Parralo. Atletico are struggling to get out of their own half at the moment.
34'
Deportivo are now finding joy down the right wing as Juanfran is found in space down the right wing but he delivers a poor cross that is cut out by Godin.
31'
Centre-back Sidnei weaves through a few Atletico challenges and goes down under the tackle of Lucas Hernandez but no foul is given. The defender was lucky there as the Brazilian appeared to be fouled.
29'
An excellent pass down the left by Perez finds Zakaria Bakkali inside the Atletico box but he is shrugged off the ball by Savic who plays it out to midfield as Atletico try to launch an attack but lose possession straight away.
28'
Deportivo are finding some joy down the left wing and work it through to Torres Guilherme whose long-range shot is wayward and well to the right of Jan Oblak's goal.
24'
Woderful control from Gabi in midfield and he feeds a quick pass to Griezmann who swivels in the box but is swarmed by the Deportivo defence and the France striker tries a backheel that is hacked clear by centre-back Fabian Schar.
22'
Lucas Perez rolls the free-kick across the box and the ball is teed up for Zakaria Bakkali who curls his effort over the bar and out for a goal kick.
21'
S. Savić gets yellow.
Yellow card for Savic for a late sliding tackle on the right edge of the penalty area.
18'
Deportivo have launched a few long balls forward with on-loan Watford goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon targeting his goal kicks towards the lone striker Lucas Perez but he is isolated against the packed Atletico defence.
15'
Both teams seem happy to sit deep and work the ball patiently in midfield waiting for an opening but with no clear cut chances so far in the contest.
11'
Gabi tries to play Griezmann through but the ball is cut out. One of Atletico's big problems this season has been getting the France forward in goal scoring positions as he has been playing mostly with his back to goal.
9'
A. Griezmann gets yellow.
Griezmann is booked for a late tackle on Deportivo right-back Moreno Juanfran at the halfway line.
7'
Gabi threads a lovely pass down the right to the onrushing Juanfran who gets to the byline before the offside flag is raised. Simeone argues with the fourth official as Deportivo build out from the back.
5'
Antoine Griezman, playing up front for Atletico, is fouled on the right wing just inside the Deportivo half and the Madrid side break forward.
3'
Early pressue by Deportivo leads to a corner on the right wing that is floated towards the back post and headed clear by Diego Godin.
1'
We're off!
Deportivo are playing in their traditional blue and white home kit attacking from left to right. Atletico are in their all yellow away strip.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s LaLiga game between Deportivo La Coruna and Atletico Madrid at the Riazor.
Despite their woeful Champions League campaign, Atletico Madrid are fourth in LaLiga with five wins and five defeats from their 10 games. The Madrid club are currently on 20 points, eight points behind leaders Barcelona.
After a second consecutive draw against Azerbaijani side Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday, the Rojiblancos are on the verge of elimination with only three points from four Group C fixtures with two fixtures remaining. It is safe to say Atletico are at their lowest ebb since manager Diego Simeone's arrival in 2011. In that time, the Argentine has led Atletico to the 2014 LaLiga title and two Champions League finals in 2014 and 2016.
Since moving to the Wanda Metropolitano at the beginning of this season and leaving behind the infamous Vicente Calderon, some argue Atletico has lost a sense of identity. Stalwarts such as Diego Godin, Filipe Luis and Juanfran are aged 30 plus and superstar forward Antoine Griezmann only has three goals from 12 appearances this season. In the previous campaign, the French striker scored 26 goals in 53 appearances and has a total of 86 goals in 171 games since joining from Real Sociedad in 2015. With Diego Costa inelgible until January, Atletico need Griezmann to rediscover his scoring touch.
Cristobal Parralo, Deportivo La Coruna's former B team coach replaced ex-West Brom manager Pepe Mel who was sacked a fortnight ago after a poor start to the season. Parralo, in place until the end of the current campaign, won his first league match as Deportivo manger with a 3-1 away win over Las Palmas following a 4-1 home drubbing to the same team in the Copa del Ray four days previously. Mel, who was appointed in February, is the fifth coach to be dismissed by president Tino Fernandez since 2014.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Deportivo are 16th in LaLiga with 11 points from 10 games. On-loan Arsenal striker Lucas Perez is the team’s top scorer with four goals from six games since returning to La Coruna following his £17 millions transfer to north London in August 2016.
Atletico Madrid (4-4-2): Jan Oblak, Juanfran, Savic, Godin, Lucas, Thomas, Fernandez, Gabi, Saul, Griezmann, Correa.
Parralo has named an unchanged side from the Las Palmas victory in Gran Canaria five days ago with Deportivo looking for their third home victory of the season.
Atletico Madrid substitutes: Moya, Torres, Vrsaljko, Vietto, Gameiro, Gaitan, Gimenez.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
Simeone makes two changes from the Qarabag draw with defender Lucas Hernnndez and midfielder Augusto Fernandez coming in for left-back Filipe Luis and striker Kevin Gameiro.
HALF-TIME: Deportivo 0-0 Atletico
Deportivo have one more chance to launch a ball into the box but the cross is cut out. That's the last action of the first half and Parralo will be the happier manager at half-time with the home side enjoying the majority of possession and asking questions of the Atletico defence. Griezmann has struggled to get into the game with his main contribution being a ninth minute booking. Simeone has work to do at the interval to raise the performance of a side that is clearly low on confidence.
Full-time Deportivo La Coruna 0-1 Atletico Madrid
It was a scrappy affair at the Riazor, settled by a moment of sheer quality in second-half stoppage time. Thomas Partey was Atletico's hero again, following up his stunning goal in the Champions League in midweek with another beauty. This time it was his 25-yard free-kick which won the day for Diego Simeone, who celebrated wildly with his bench. And why not, Diego!
The win ends a run of three straight 1-1 draws for Atletico, who remain unbeaten in LaLiga. Simeone's side sit third, four points adrift of leaders Barca, who face Sevilla later on Saturday. Real Madrid, who host Las Palmas on Sunday, are three points behind Atleti in fourth.
You have to feel for Depor, who matched their opponents for much of the game but paid the price for Sidnei's late foul on Lucas Hernandez as Thomas did the rest. The home side languish 16th in the table, with a five-point cushion to the bottom three.
That's all for this live text commentary, we hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time, goodbye!
