For the Selecao, Neymar has just been immense tonight. Getting in all the right places, and using his skills well to thwart the South African defence. Hat-trick well deserved.
90' +1
Neymar has scored a goal for Brazil! Assist by Jô.
GOAL!! SOUTH AFRICA 0-5 BRAZIL - Neymar has his HAT-TRICK!! Wonderful move from the Selecao. Lovely ball into the box, headed on diagonally by Jo, and Neymar strokes it in. 30th goal for Brazil.
89'
NEYMAR!! There was the hat-trick chance. Takes Siyanda Xulu out of the equation as he turns in and gets into a central position. Takes a deflection, and goes just wide.
87'
Game's tempo has decreased significantly to a walking pace as we enter the twilight stages of this international friendly. South Africa haven't offered much.
85'
Neymar fed a neat pass by Jo, but forced out left by Nthethe, as the forward attempts to reciprocate the pass. Five minutes plus stoppage to go.
83'
NEYMAR! He's gunning for his hat-trick, with time running out for the forward. Has Jo as an option on his right, but attempts to skip in between two defenders, and is eventually crowded out.
81'
ALVES! They're lining up here. Willian skips down the left and tees up the advancing full-back who strikes from distance. Just drags it wide.
80'
That's Fernandinho's first goal for Brazil, and what a way to stake a claim in Brazil's World Cup squad. Scolari enjoyed that one!
79'
Fernandinho has scored a goal for Brazil!
GOAL! WHAT A GOAL! South Africa 0-4 Brazil - a rocket by Fernandinho! It's a drilled cross from the right by Ramires, headed away by Siyanda Xulu. Fernandinho on the end of that, and he rockets it from 30 yards out. A stunning strike.

Description
77'
PATOSI! Over the bar. South Africa not taking advantage of the few chances that are coming their way. The substitute scoops his effort way over Cesar's bar.
76'
NEYMAR! Alves with a fine lofted ball - clipped over the defence to find Neymar, on a hat-trick in space in the box. Poor header, and he's not troubling the goalkeeper.
75'
Ramires gets yellow.
YELLOW CARD - Ramires. The Chelsea midfielder is booked for a strong challenge on Ndlovu.
73'
WILLIAMS! That should've been 4-0 if anything. Thabo Matlaba caught out of position, and it's an easy through ball from Neymar through to Alves running in from the left. Low shot which is well saved by the goalkeeper and parried away.
71'
South Africa have a half-chance here as Serero blasts forward with Thiago Silva in his path. Only one way that is going as the Paris Saint-Germain captain wins that tussle.
70'
Neymar fould by Bongani Zungu on the half way line. Nothing much in that to be honest. 20 minutes left to play at Soccer City.
67'
Brazil's next game is on June 2nd against Panama in the United States. They face Serbia a few days later in Sao Paulo, before kicking off against Croatia in 99 days time on June 12th.
65'
JO! Should've been 4-0 up there. Ngcongca is beaten by Neymar on the far left, as the Barcelona forward gets into a position where he crosses the ball perfectly for Jo, who gets his header wrong.
64'
Dante enters the game and replaces David Luiz.
Resulting corner for South Africa but David Luiz, who asked to come off has gone back to try and defend the corner first! He does so, before being replaced by Dante.
63'
PATOSI!! His first touch has led to South Africa's best chance yet! Slipped in by a neat pass from Ndlovu, he strikes hard at Cesar, who has already gone down but flaps a hand at it to divert it away. Brilliant!

61'
David Luiz signalling to the bench that he wants to come off.
SUBSTITUTION - Brazil: Fred has come off in place of Jo.

Chance for South Africa as the ball finds its way towards Furman on the edge of the area. One place to shoot, but it deflects off a player. Not troubling Cesar.

58'
Dani Alves enters the game and replaces Marcelo.
SUBSTITUTION: Brazil - Marcelo off for Dani Alves.
57'
Substitutions punctuating the play, as is common in international friendlies. Brazil preparing Dani Alves, a rather nice option to have on the bench....!
56'
Have to remember here that South Africa beat world champions Spain 1-0 here on November 19th in an international friendly. But they look hopelessly out of their depth against Brazil tonight.
55'
B. Zungu enters the game and replaces A. Jali.
54'
SUBSTITUTION - South Africa: Andile Jali, who has struggled in the midfield role this evening, has departed in place of Bongani Zungu.
53'
Not going too well for South Africa, as the ball is drifted in from the right by Nthethe, but it's over-hit, but they have a corner from it.
52'
D. Ndlovu enters the game and replaces D. Claasen.
51'
SUBSTITUTION - South Africa: Dino Ndlovu, first cap since October 2012 comes on for the ineffective Claasen. Made his debut in the 2012 friendly against Selecao.

48'
Confirmation of those substitutions at half-time. Willian, Ramires and Luiz Gustavo on for Hulk, Paulinho and Oscar. For South Africa, Rantie is off for Manyisa.
47'

45' +2
FURMAN! First real chance from the Doncaster midfielder. Claasen lays it off adequately, as Furman attempts a left-footed shot from 25 yards out, but he's sliced it, and unfortunately narrowly misses the target.

45' +1
Into the second of two minutes of injury time in Johannesburg. Furman with a foul on Hulk, and he escapes a booking.
45'
Into injury time at the end of the first half as Claasen powers into the Brazil box, as he is thwarted by the interception of David Luiz.
44'
Marcelo! The Real Madrid left-back is given ACRES of space on the left after another through ball catches out Bafana Bafana. Unchallenged in his run into the box, attempts to find Fred before Ngcongca denies the forward.
43'
Neymar on another showboating run through the left once more. Tries to evade the challenge of Nthethe, but the defender intervenes to block the ball.
41'
Neymar has scored a goal for Brazil! Assist by Paulinho.
GOAL! South Africa 0-2 Brazil - NEYMAR! He's got his revenge. The South African defence is open once more. The Barcelona forward opts to shoot at goal, and not attempt to dribble his way this time. It works superbly as he nutmegs Williams en route to hitting the back of the net.
All too easy for Luiz Felipe Scolari's men, as they take a comfortable 2-0 lead in Johannesburg. Neymar's 28th international goal puts them two up just before the break. Assist from Paulinho.
39'
Neymar on the edge of the area scurrying forward with a number of stepovers to try and confound Ngongca. One too many, as the Brazilian forward is caught by a slip by the defender, but no penalty.
38'
Decent ball from Rantie who combines with Ngconga on the right. The full-back plays a super ball towards Parker, who dummies well as South Africa get into the box, but Thiago Silva holds his nerve to deny the hosts.
36'
Oscar reprimanded for a strong challenge on midfielder Jali, who goes down rather theatrically. The referee has a yellow card in his hand, but unsure as to whether he has actually brandished it.
35'
Ten minutes until half-time in Johannesburg, and it remains South Africa 0-1 Brazil, courtesy of Oscar's 10th minute goal.
33'
Oscar finds Marcelo on the left, who attacks well on the wing. Beats the challenge of Nthethe just inside the box, but Dean Furman produces a good challenge to end that move.
32'
Bernard Parker, who has had a quiet match so far, is penalised for handball after attempting to control an aerial ball.
31'
Paulinho drives forward from midfield attempting to carve out another opening. Unsuccessful, as Serero breaks free and attempts to counter, but a wonderful tackle from Fernandinho to deny him.

Poor delivery from the resulting corner by Oscar. Neymar cannot shake off the pressure from Ngoncga, as the ball eventually goes out for a goal-kick.
29'
NEYMAR!! That should've been 2-0. Neymar cuts out a poor pass from the midfield and races forward one on one with Williams. Attempts to chip it over Williams, but he is denied by the goalkeeper's head! Corner.
27'
Neymar hits the deck after a challenge from Claasen. The Barcelona forward clutches his back, though he should be OK following an awkward fall.
25'
Williams almost caught out, off his line by some distance as he attempts to divert a loose ball. Lucky enough, his defence helps him out well.
24'
Nice move from Oscar who attempts to locate Fred arriving in the centre of the field with a lofted pass. Williams rushes off his line to claim, and claims well.
23'
Serero has a bit of time to advance forward for his side, and combines superbly with Matlaba racing from the left. The duo are soon crowded out by the Brazilian defence.
22'
Corner to Brazil. Delivered with power towards the centre, and headed away before Rafinha latches onto the rebound, and strikes it well over.
21'
NEYMAR!! Out of the blue there. Another fine pass from Marcelo, which travels about 20 yards towards Neymar who lets it run towards the edge before attempting to strike low under Williams. The goalkeeper deflects it out for a corner.
20'
Siyanda Xulu enters the game and replaces B. Khumalo.
19'
SUBSTITUTION - South Africa: It's been a forced change, as Khumalo departs, replaced by Siyanda Xulu.
18'
Real blow for South Africa. Bongani Khumalo has been stretchered off by a rash challenge. Substitution to come from Bafana Bafana.
16'
Coach Gordon Igesund watches on, as Claasen wins a free-kick for a foul in midfield. The resultant free-kick is soon wasted by the hosts.
15'
Past the quarter-hour mark in Johannesburg, and Brazil already in a comfortable position. Being afforded considerable space all over the pitch, it's only a matter of time before they score again!
14'
Decent effort from distance by Rantie, as he scoops the ball from quite a way out. Was attempting to curl it towards the top corner but that's not troubling Julio Cesar at all.
12'
South Africa attempt to issue a response as Furman attempts to pounce on some space and slide in a through ball towards Parker. But six men surrounding him and his team-mate terminate that attempt.
11'
Really smooth goal from Brazil there, as Oscar celebrates. The Chelsea midfielder with his ninth goal for the senior team. Easy stuff from Luiz Felipe Scolari's side.
10'
Oscar has scored a goal for Brazil! Assist by Hulk.
GOAL!! South Africa 0-1 Brazil - OSCAR! What a wonderful goal. Superb through ball from the halfway line by Hulk and Oscar springs the offside trap. 40 yard pass and lifts the ball over Williams and into the net. Fantastic.
9'
Foul by Paulinho on Tokelo Rantie, as the Bournemouth striker wins a free-kick for Bafana Bafana. Lovely delivery into the box by Parker, but Thiago Silva heads it away well.
8'
Rafinha advancing from the right towards Hulk, of Zenit St Petersburg, but the winger is too sloppy in that phase of play as the Selecao's move breaks down.
7'
FRED! The Confederations Cup star blazes a shot over the bar, but another neat move from the visitors. Fantastic ball cross-field towards Hulk who drills in towards the centre. Fred gets a touch, but it's far too heavy.
6'
Nice move from Neymar who dribbles the ball with ease, and cuts in on his right. Clipped by Claasen, and the Selecao have a free-kick here.
4'
Nice move from Brazil started from Silva at the back, advancing. Towards Oscar who is required to rush a shot from distance. Looks as if its charged down by a hand, but the referee waves play on.
3'
Measured start from the visitors and five-time world champions as Thiago Silva brings the ball forward. Given the distances these European-based players in particular have travelled, it may be a while before they get into the rhythm.
1'
UNDERWAY IN JOHANNESBURG! Brazil attacking from right to left in this first half, South Africa in all white.
Good afternoon, and welcome to live coverage of the international friendly between South Africa and Brazil, hosts of the previous FIFA World Cup, taking on the five-time world champions, and hosts of this summer's global showpiece.
I'm Mohammed Ali, and I'll be taking you through proceedings at the FNB Stadium, known to many as Soccer City, as Brazil enters the home straight in its World Cup preparations both on and off the field. What better time to play the side that were in the same position four years ago.
It's Luiz Felipe Scolari's final chance to have a good look at his side before making the crucial decision of which players he takes to a home World Cup, with their next friendly scheduled for after FIFA's cut-off date on June 2nd.
For South Africa, it's a chance to size themselves up against the five-time world champions, having failed to qualify for this World Cup. After a dismal showing at home in January's African Nations Championship, coach Gordon Igesund will be hoping for a stronger performance this time around.
Brazil have history, both at Soccer City, and against South Africa. Their last visit to the stadium was a 3-1 victory over the Ivory Coast at the 2010 World Cup. Their two previous meetings against Bafana Bafana both ended in 1-0 wins. In a 2012 friendly in Sao Paulo, and at the 2009 Confederations Cup semi-final stage, where the host nation just narrowly missed out - Dani Alves scoring in the 88th minute there.
In all, the Selecao have won 12 out of their last 13 games, including wins over France, Italy and Spain - the latter two en route to their 2013 Confederations Cup triumph. Only Switzerland have beaten Brazil under Scolari's second reign as coach.
BRAZIL: Julio Cesar, Rafinha, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo, Fernandinho, Paulinho, Oscar, Hulk, Neymar, Fred
99 days until the FIFA World Cup commences in Sao Paulo!
The vuvuezlas are out at Soccer City, but it's a sparse crowd inside Soccer City, with many empty seats inside the gargantuan 90,000 seater stadium which hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup final.
The South African side are wearing shirts emblazoned with the late Nelson Mandela's prison number - 46664. The former president and African National Congress leader made his last public visit here at this stadium in 2010.
HT: RSA 0-2 BRA - Comfortable first half from the Selecao in all respects. Oscar's lovely chip into the net got things started, and Neymar doubled Brazil's advantage with a low powerful finish. Furman with the only real attempt for the hosts.
Brazil return for the second half. Wearing all blue kits. They had played in their iconic yellow kit in the first half.
FT: RSA 0-5 Brazil. Two halves, two kits, and FIVE goals. But Brazil have been super impressive tonight. In fine form as we head into the home straight for the World Cup. South Africa proved no match, as Luiz Felipe Scolari's men roll on.
Thanks for joining me, Mohammed Ali for coverage of this international friendly. Stick around for live commentary of France v Netherlands starting in half an hour. Good night.
