Á. Di María has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Fabinho.
GOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID! THAT SEALS IT! Fabinho lays the ball into the path of Di Maria, and the Argentine whips the ball with pace into the bottom left corner! 6-2. Malaga just want the final whistle.
88'
What on Earth is Kameni doing?! The Cameroonian comes off his line, juggles the ball a bit, then opts to head the ball away from the edge of the box! He's lucky Madrid don't take advantage!
86'
Malaga need to pick themselves up quickly from this. It's been a bit of a freak match, so it's important that they get it together for the vital match against Sevilla at the weekend.
84'
XABI ALONSO!! OHH HOW CLOSE WAS THAT!! The former Liverpool man tries his luck from distance and whips a fantastic strike towards the top corner, but it just bends away at the last minute and goes out for a goal kick. Really unlucky.
82'
Ozil is going to have to come off, and its slightly worrying as he leaves the park on a stretcher. It was an innocuous challenge from Camacho, but the Madrid man looks to be in a lot of pain. The hosts down to 10 men.
80'
M. Iturra gets yellow.
Cristiano Ronaldo gets yellow.
Sore one for Ozil. The German goes over on his ankle as he is given too much attention by Ignacio Camacho. He's just receiving some treatment from the physios. Think Malaga just want this to be over, so I don't foresee too much injury time.
78'
Ronaldo is booked for diving!! Carlos Kameni dashes from goal and appears to clip the heels of the Madrid captain, but the referee waves play on and shows his a yellow card for simulation! Not sure about that one ref!
76'
O. Onyewu enters the game and replaces Eliseu.
Fabinho enters the game and replaces Fábio Coentrão.
Both sides make their final changes of the match. Eliseu is replaced by Oguchi Onyewu for Malaga and Fabio Coentrao is replaced by Fabinho, who makes his debut for Madrid.
74'
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!! WAIT! NO! OFFSIDE!! Ronaldo's free kick deflects out to Higuain, who smashes a shot off the post! Essien dispatches the rebound but the linesman correctly puts his flag up.
73'
Eliseu gets yellow.
M. Demichelis gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
It's all falling apart for Malaga now!! Martin Demichelis is shown a second yellow card for a cynical slide challenge on Ronaldo on the edge of the box! Pellegrini's outfit are down to nine-men!

Description

One thing is for sure tonight. Barcelona will not be crowned champions this evening, and I wonder whether they would even have wanted it that way anyway. They have the opportunity to claim their prize this weekend against Atletico.
69'
It was always going to be a tough task for Malaga to come out after the break and hope to claw back the two-goal deficit. The dismissal of Sanchez has been so detrimental, they've been forced to sit back. It's been damage limitations in the second half.
68'
G. Higuaín enters the game and replaces K. Benzema.
67'
Jose Mourinho further freshens up his side as Karim Benzema is withdrawn for Gonzalo Higuain. The Frenchman has been relatively quiet tonight, despite the scoreline and his close range goal.
65'
Á. Di María enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
Modric's reward for that superb goal? He's coming off. The Croatian is almost immediately replaced after netting his strike, and it's Angel Di Maria who is entering the fray.
63'
L. Modrić has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by K. Benzema.
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!! IT'S LUKA MODRIC! He's deserved that! The Croatian exchanges a one-two with Coentrao before shifting the ball in to his left foot and rifling a strike in off the post and in! 5-2! Looks like game over!
62'
Disappointing from Isco. The 21-year-old opts to neatly curl the ball and it's food and drink for Diego Lopez, who easily gathers. That was an opportunity missed there!
61'
Free kick to Malaga in a useful position. Essien tugs back Isco and the visitors get the foul, and it's definitely in shooting distance.
59'
Certainly a lot more discipline from both sides in the second half so far. The swashbuckling end-to-end attacking is not present as much any more. Malaga much more rigid at the back now.
57'
Speculative effort from Camacho. The ball breaks to the former Atletico man 25 yards out and he smashes it on the half volley towards goal but it didn't dip in time to cause any trouble for Diego Lopez in the Madrid goal.
55'
Ronaldo looks to flick the ball into the path of Benzema at the back post but the Frenchman just lost his concentration at the final moment and allowed the ball to slip away from him. He had a free shot on goal had he managed to collect that!
53'
Compared to the first half, this is a relatively low-key opening to the second 45 minutes. It was only natural the intensity of the first period waned slightly.
51'
Important touch from Antunes!! Ozil shows a fantastic turn of pace down the left-hand side and stands a cracking cross to the back post. Ronaldo looks poised to volley at goal but he is foiled by the Malaga left-back, who nicks the ball away with a header.
49'
Dodgy goalkeeping from Kameni there! The substitute comes out to claim the corner but flaps at the ball, claiming he was fouled. The referee waves play on as he collided with his own player, but Malaga survive and eventually clear.
48'
Nacho goes on a rare wander forward and looks to exchange a one-two with Benzema. The Frenchman provides the return pass but it's intercepted by Antunes. Madrid corner kick.
46'
We are back under way at Santiago Bernabeu! Are you ready for more goals?!
45' +3
What a crazy first half this has been! There's been enough to drama to squeeze into a full game never mind a first half.
45' +1
M. Demichelis gets yellow.
K. Benzema has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Cristiano Ronaldo.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! The ball comes through to Ronaldo and the Portuguese finds himself one-on-one with Kameni, but unselfishly opts to square to Benzema, who finishes into the empty net! 4-2!
44'
We're going to have five minutes of injury time due to the injury to Willy Caballero and the changes by Malaga. And the five goals of course!
43'
Penalty shout for Malaga!! Coentrao comes in from behind and takes out Iturra inside the box! It looks as though he may have just clawed the ball away though! The referee waves play on!
42'
C. Kameni enters the game and replaces W. Caballero.
41'
Malaga have now made two relatively forced changes in the opening 45 minutes. Certainly not part of the script for Pellegrini. I think he'll be happy to get his players in at half time just to settle them down a tad.
40'
Caballero will have to come off. He's replaced by Carlos Kameni. A very good goalkeeper in his own right, is the Cameroonian.
38'
Willy Caballero is receiving treatment again. It looks like the initial injury may have happened when he saved Ronaldo's penalty. It was hit with such power that it may have just shook up the Malaga keeper's ankle slightly.
37'
Five goals in 37 first half minutes? You've got to love La Liga!
36'
Antunes has scored a goal for Malaga! Assist by Portillo.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR MALAGA!! PICK THAT ONE OUT!! Antunes gallops down the left-hand side before cutting back in on his right foot. He then wonderfully curls the ball straight into the top right corner from the edge of the box! Maybe there's life left in Pellegrini's men after all! 3-2!
35'
Where do Malaga go from here? Such an uphill task now. 3-1 behind and a man down.
33'
M. Özil has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Cristiano Ronaldo.
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!! Scintillating counterattack!!! Modric picks up the ball from a Malaga corner and sends Ronaldo through the middle. The Portuguese sprints are superb pace before sliding a perfect pass down the channel for Ozil, who cuts inside past Antunes before coolly slotting into the bottom left corner! 3-1! Malaga are sinking without a trace now!
31'
Madrid have had a real spring in their step since Sanchez's dismissal. The front four are all hungry for possession up top and look to be really dangerous on the counterattack. Malaga better pick themselves up.
29'
RONALDO!!! OHHH THAT WAS INCHES OVER!! The Madrid captain hits a rasper of a free kick from 30 yards that just goes the wrong side of the crossbar! He certainly looks hungry tonight!
27'
M. Iturra enters the game and replaces Júlio Baptista.
Disappointing for Julio Baptista. The Brazilian, who is captaining Malaga tonight, has been replaced on his return to Santiago Bernabeu. Manuel Pellegrini re-shuffles his side due to the sending off and introduces Manuel Iturra.
26'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Xabi Alonso.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! Xabi Alonso lays off the free kick a few yards from goal and Ronaldo rattles the ball into the top right corner!! Emphatic! 2-1!
25'
R. Santa Cruz gets yellow.
24'
It looks like Caballero has picked up a knock. He's receiving treatment as Madrid prepare to take the free kick.
23'
Bit of an odd situation here. Camacho bundles the ball into the hands of Caballero inside the box and the referee deems it a pass back. Free kick to Madrid around five yards from goal. This may be Ronaldo distance...
22'
Penalty saved by W. Caballero!
CABALLERO DENIES RONALDO FROM THE SPOT!! The Madrid man goes for his 200th La Liga goal but smashes the penalty straight off the legs of the Malaga 'keeper!
21'
Sergio Sánchez goes off after a red card!
Penalty to Madrid and Sergio Sanchez is sent off! That Malaga man hauls Ronaldo to the floor as he prepares to pull the trigger whilst through on goal! Sanchez was the last man, he's off!
19'
To go back to that goal for Malaga, it was truly horrible defending from Madrid. Santa Cruz had the freedom of the Santiago Bernabeu to get on the end of that corner kick. There was nobody near him! Another poorly defended set-piece from Los Blancos.
17'
What a miss from Ronaldo!! He latches on to a neat pass inside the box from Modric but, for some reason, stabs a shot at goal instead of putting his foot through it. He eventually slices his attempt wide.
15'
R. Santa Cruz has scored a goal for Malaga! Assist by D. Lugano.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLL FOR MALAGA!!! The visitors equalise!! Isco whips a corner kick to the front post and the ball bounces off Diego Lugano to the grateful Santa Cruz, who easily finishes at the back post! 1-1!
14'
Great block by Sanchez!! Modric lifts a fantastic pass down the right for Ozil, who in turn picks out Ronaldo at the back post. The former Manchester United man goes for the piledriver but the attempt is charged down by the Malaga full-back.
12'
Malaga just starting to grow into the game a little more now. It took them a while to get out of the blocks but they look more comfortable on the ball.
10'
Demichelis almost punished!! The Argentine made a poor pass out of defence which was pounced upon by Benzema, who looked to lay a pass through to Ronaldo, but the Malaga man recovered just in time to intercept.
9'
Really entertaining opening here in Madrid. Mourinho's men have been knocking the ball around with confidence and look pretty dangerous, but you can never discount Malaga with the players they have in attack.
8'
Disappointing from Ronaldo. The Portuguese looks to smash a strike at goal, but his attempt is blocked by a sturdy Malaga wall.
7'
Ozil picks up the ball in a central position and looks to quickly turn and drive towards goal. He looks to shift the ball past Sanchez but the Malaga man sticks out a leg to trip up the German. Free kick to Madrid in a great position.
6'
Funnily enough, when Albiol scored every player bar Diego Lopez ran over to congratulate him and celebrate. Clearly not a problem among the players, it seems.
5'
What is Baptista doing there? The Brazilian gets in behind the Madrid defence but opts to try and flick the ball into the path of Santa Cruz at the back post. A simple shot might have sufficed, Julio!
4'
Shocking start from Pellegrini's men!
3'
Raúl Albiol has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by L. Modrić.
GOOOOOOAAAAAL GOOOOOAAAAAAL GOOOOAAAAAL!!! A NIGHTMARE START FOR MALAGA!!! Luka Modric whips in the corner kick and Raul Albiol rises above everyone to bullet a header home! 1-0 Madrid after 3 minutes!
2'
Cristiano Ronaldo, captaining his side tonight, goes on a powerful run down the left-hand side as he looks to get the better of Sergio Sanchez. Madrid end up getting the corner kick.
1'
We are under way in Santiago Bernabeu!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be taking you through the action this evening!
TEAM NEWS.
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Diego Lopez; Nacho, Varane, Albiol, Coentrao; Essien, Xabi Alonso; Modric, Ozil, Ronaldo, Benzema.
Defensive changes seem to be the order of the day from Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini.
Los Blancos are missing Alvaro Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo due to injury. However, a more conspicuous absence is that of Pepe, who is left out of the squad for criticising the Portuguese boss last week over his treatment of club captain, Iker Casillas.
The visitors are also missing their captain tonight as Weligton is suspended after picking up his 10th yellow card of the campaign at the weekend versus Granada.
Now, if Real Madrid cannot defeat Malaga tonight, Barcelona will become Primera Division champions for the fourth time in five seasons. Quite an incentive for victory then!
Some stats for you...
He may not be the most popular man in the Spanish capital, but there's no denying that Jose Mourinho knows how to get results. Saturday's 4-3 win over Real Valladolid was the Portuguese's 85th Liga victory as Madrid boss. Only Leo Beenhakker (89) and Miguel Munoz (257) have overseen more Liga wins at the Bernabeu club
So, what are the form stats? I hear you cry!
Madrid are on an eight-match winning run at the Santiago Bernabeu in all competitions and Malaga are on a four-match losing run away from home across all competitions.
Not inspiring if you're a Boqueneros fan then!
